  1. It is such a better game than MK11 imo. I’ve been playing it a bit myself, but have a lot more playing/labbing to do. you have it on PS4 or PC? I have it on both fwiw
  2. I unfortunately am not free until maybe Sunday evening, but even then I’m not sure. Hopefully you guys can get some games in though!
  3. They are certainly leading up to a TGA MK12 announcement, and with the delay between MK11 and MK12, and how they’ve been mentioning details of every MK game in order, I’m curious if it’s going to be an Armageddon type roster with like 50+ characters… if so, I really hope they add in a tag mode.
  4. Been playing a lot of SF2 lately and noticed that special move inputs seem a lot harder (and less consistent) in Super Turbo than Hyper Fighting. maybe that’s just a “me” thing, but in ST, I am lucky when I get four DPs off in a row. I always thought it was Street Fighter 2 as a whole that had stupidly strict inputs because of my ST experience, but after playing HF more and being able to DP like twenty times in a row anytime I try, it really seems like an ST issue. has anyone else noticed this? I read in the SuperCombo wikis that ST has some sort of randomizer (with min/max values) for how many frames you have after a directional input to hit the next direction in a special, but since ST has by far the most info on it, I just assumed that was again, a general SF2 thing and not an ST-specific thing, but maybe I’m wrong? Anyone else feel the same or am I just a scrub? Lol
  5. I definitely will if I can. I’m dealing with some back pain and haven’t been able to play games since Sunday, but I’m assuming I’ll be ok by then
  6. I was thinking about this earlier, because as much as I love SF and MK, I am always going to need at least one versus/anime game in my rotation… It’ll probably either be MVC2 and/or GG +R/Xrd.
  7. I think the issue is that (from what I understand) ASW handled the Steam ports directly, so they can make changes and update them at will. But the console ports were published by third-party companies (like Aksys Games did Xrd), so they’d have to hire/pay/involve them to update the console versions, which likely requires contract extensions, and possible licensing issues.
  8. The Rev2 rollback beta is live and from the little I read this morning, it runs pretty well, as well as there have been some PC optimizations so it runs better (less CPU usage) than the regular version. There may still be some glitches in the PC port and stuff, it is a beta after all. The dev working has posted a steam thread for feedback and seemingly wants as much as possible. it’s also on sale and like $15 USD on steam or something. I don’t think they’re going to do any character balances, or addressing any glitches that would separate it from the PS4 version, as they’re addressing the steam port only (which seems to make it clear that the ps4 version won’t get rollback) Heads up though - from what I understand, this beta will only be up for two weeks and the proper full version may not be ready for a couple months to a year, depending on how well it works. So far, early reports are good, but I’m going to download it tonight and mostly play it for the next two weeks, and provide feedback. If anyone wants games, let me know.
  9. This game is funny tbh. I only really like Haohmaru, but at the same time, I feel like (and it’s likely my lack of labbing) that he can get really fucked up by full screen tactics. That, and my lack of patience, often makes me feel like I have to try and be hyper aggressive, or at least push to stay within jump-in range. Early on, while I was trying out some things trying to remember how to play, I was also getting somewhat tilted. As we went on though, I realized it was my own aggression that was getting me killed, and I tried (for the most part) to play a bit more strategic. I still think Hoah is better within a somewhat closer range, but I can do smarter things to get there (like walk-forward and block, rather than doing his Reverse DP flipping attack all the time). Speaking of which, my execution in this game specifically is funny with DPs. I’m not blaming the game because it’s obviously something I’m doing, but I occasionally get the traditional DP when I try to input the Reverse DP, and vice versa, but I just need to hit the lab and clean up my inputs… I also need to hit the lab and sort out how to deal with your ninja’s (Hatzo?) fireball attacks and some of the setups you were doing off it. I had no answers for those lol, but definitely felt better once I tried blocking them rather than trying to jump over them all the time - I just need to learn how to block/counter your various follow-ups. Anyways, I had a lot fun. Looking forward to next time.
  10. I would’ve dropped my sword as well @DoctaMario… if I knew how lol
  11. @DoctaMario I haven’t played this game in like a month so it may take a few matches to get warmed up (as well as test a few things)
  12. Lol, it is Strive. They are currently doing a crossplay beta to test PC to PS4/5 crossplay and it’s free for everyone, so I’m supposed to be playing it tonight with a buddy who didn’t buy it yet.
  13. I’m likely playing a buddy in the GGST beta tomorrow night, but if that falls though, I’ll be free tomorrow. I’ll let you guys know if I am
  14. Thanks for looking into that! For some reason, I thought a successful party led to a small meter gain.
  15. Can’t you just parry the fireball and get drive meter for a successful parry? im actually asking the question. I didn’t play the beta and not too familiar with the parry startup and windows
  16. translation (these guys thought of everything): ”Camera operation setting tips If you use an arcade controller in the BH lobby, you can operate the camera by pressing the R1/RB button and pressing X ●△□ /ABXY. Turn on "Camera Assist" in CAMERA of OPTION, change "Camera hold time", and try to find your favorite setting.”
  17. Sorry @DoctaMario I don’t think I’ll be able to play tonight after all. I apologize
  18. I literally do not have a complaint so far about this game lol (haven’t played it yet though, the tears will bring salt).
  19. Sorry, I was trying to respond earlier but this thread kept crashing on my phone (oddly the SF6 thread is fine). Anyways, all is well. I've been dealing with some family stuff over the last month which has caused me to have fluctuating moods (some are sad days, some days are stressful, etc). I should be okay for tonight though - well after 9pm et anyway, and I may not be able to play much past 11pm.
