  1. Any more, and he's gonna die from phallic asphyxiation. This man is approaching Ted Cruz's level of respect.
  2. In these car groups, that story has been shared a bajilion times;, mainly by those who hate anything related to an EV. You only need to watch the first minute and a half 🤣
  3. The Auralnauts did an edit of A New Hope Snyder style. Slo-mo and expository dialogue are hallmarks here 🤣
  4. Maybe I'm biased but Optimus Prime may be one of the greatest character names in fiction. You literally put respect on his name by just speaking it.
  5. Personally, both parties should be at fault. While I understand that you shouldn't be in the roadway, there is malicious intent if you stop and consciously choose to harm someone. Yeah, it's illegal to be in the roadway, but at the same time, you are making a conscious choice to harm.
  6. Let's see if he gets released from the MCU. . . . and she never will.
  7. The difference is that there is 0 loss from the engine (motor) because of gearing. Since the power is literally going to the wheels, torque is applied with little resistance. Now, that said, at top speed, you can trap them, but you'll need more than a 1/4 mile. Food for thought 🤣 Waiting until things warm up to do a few things to the Charger. I have a new intake manifold, heads, headers, and rear diff to install. It'll then need to be tuned. Before any of that goes on though, I need to restore these Brembos. Don't want to be an example set by this meme: I'd really like to get a set of 6 piston (Hellcat variant) but the 4 piston will do. I don't know if I want to supercharge the car or not. I have both a 6.1L and 6.4L intake manifold. When I got the diff, the seller practically threw in a 6.1L intake manifold. The 6.4L is better if you remain naturally-aspirated; the 6.1 is better when supercharged since it is cast aluminum.
  8. Absolutely. You also have torque. Power to weight ratio is absolutely a thing. I appreciate all of this. The car community really is all up in arms about EVs vs. ICE as if it's a war of factions. It's just how the vehicle propels itself. At the same time, a lot of enthusiasts love things about the car that are actually inefficiencies or waste by-products. I've seen tons of posts about how EVs are so quiet. The reality is that sexy exhaust is really just a tuned fart 🤣. I love my V8, but people need to chill with the EV hate. There is some cool tech out there.
  9. Finally got around to watching The Creator. I thought it was worth a watch but at the same time I was really hoping that they'd dive a lot deeper into the parallels of humans and AI constructs and the meaning of being human. It felt like they left something out because running and gunning needed to happen. It's also insane that a movie with that budget looks faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better than the most recent MCU offerings in the VFX department.
  10. Today has been a long day. My wife's surgery was a complete success. Now the real fun part begins. 4-8 weeks of recovery. At least four of those will be without the ability to lift anything over 10 lbs. This will make parenting with a newborn interesting. While I am thankful that things have overall been on the upward swing, I am ready for all of this to be over.
  11. It's fake. People trying to get that 18.783 seconds of fame. So far there hasn't been a credible source stating someone is trans-feline.
  12. For me 1 and 3 are the standouts. The second movie has only one scene worth going to the theater for . . . The Forest Battle TF4 was a movie with potential, but it got really lazy at the cutting room floor. The Last Knight is the only movie I have apologized for taking someone to see. Agreed. It is . . . however It's like a reverse Rogue One with the nostalgia bomb. The first 5 minutes are GOD TIER! The remainder of the movie is good, but doesn't hold a candle to what's seen at the beginning.
  13. As a side, people may hate Michael Bay for those movies, but the Transformers franchise would not be a pop-culture force without his fiendish machinations. Bay and Beast Wars are the two things that kept Transformers alive in the space.
  14. Got a 4 month old and my wife's prepping for surgery this week. We're keeping it really low-key. We got a suite at the premiere hotel on Duke's Campus and just enjoyed each other's company. Happy New Year everyone. Thanks to all of you for helping make last year special. Despite the highs and lows, this has been a great place to kick it.
