    I had only noticed that they cut Whistle Running, but that was pretty much the only speedrunning tech I used.
     
    Besides that, Link kinda feels like a direct port, including the jump cancels on 2-handed weapons.
     
    That definitely makes TotK speedrunning more interesting now...

    How could Capcom create one of the coolest looking characters in the series with JP and then give him the lamest fucking gameplay? 
     
    Like my god, I've been watching and catching a lot of different JP appearances on streams for SF6 and this shit is actually putting me to boredom and sleep 
     
    As if I'm watching Injustice 2 matches again or something like that

    Edit: At least so far, getting cooked doesn't make me rage in SF6. There are so many options, I immediately think of how I just picked the wrong option. Hopefully this last. Reminds me of SF3, I always felt that it was my fault when I lost.

    I put so much of my heart and soul into getting good at SFV and I feel the same. I'll try my best to take it one step at a time but right now I'm not too concerned with getting insanely good. I've never played a fighter with this much depth before.

    For my Manon players 
     
    1. s.hp is super cancelable. Unfortunately the confirm window isn’t hilariously big like for the target combo, but it’s still an option 
    2. EX overhead is listed at 22f startup, but it cannot actually hit a crouching opponent until frame 23(the second active frame). Frame 23 also forces the opponent into crouching state.

    You can't use FADC (called drive rush in this) out of drive impact. You can only use FADC/driverush off special cancelable normals like crouching mk or from parry stance.

    Did anybody else just randomly get 7700 drive tickets? I was having connection probs, went to WT mode and unlocked Dhalsim's alt. I didn't receive it ingame, but when I did get back online, I got a notification saying I'd got the DTs and the costume. I already accepted the 1 mil players gift.
    Edit: Only bought the base edition.I'm gonna spend it quick!

    The only things I do online with any regularity are come here, r/cars, and shop for cars online cause I’m an addict. I don’t pay attention to much else.

    I haven't posted in a minute but these are my thoughts about 6/Lily after grinding over the weekend. When I played the in betas (all 3) I could easily tell that 6 wasn't like V despite some V shenanigans working in the betas. I got to gold with Kim in all 3 betas but I think it was through sure luck of the draw because Kim played the closest to a SFV character for me. I'm playing Lily right now and I'm honestly lost as shit on how to use the character at a basic level. She has 0 medium links her main target combo can't be linked from a light and her pressure is mostly built around condor spire going brrrr but mostly if you have winclad stocks up. Some of her corner routes are basically pitiful if you don't have multiple windclad stocks up. Allot of her combo potential is gonna be built around maximizing her DR combos. Which unfortunately for me I'm too retarded to do  (Yes I'm grinding them out). Her main offense tool to get winclad stock up is to use st.HP,fd.HP,back.HP into medium or heavy winclad. If you space it you can sometimes avoid being punished and there's even the ability to set up a trade combo if someone pokes while doing it. However because it's not a true block string unless the opponent is in burn out you can just DI or parry the follow up. I'm not really a fan of lily's medium button just being pokes that can't be DR'd from and her cr.MP is only super cancelable from a DR extension. I'm fucking dog shit so I know I'm just not playing the character good but I do feel like while I like half of her tools some other parts have me scratching my head.  I also wish she had an air throw. Also this is just a personal feeling but I definitely feel more "stuck" in fights in 6. I feel like when things are happening on the screen I can't just jump out of pressure or back dash or walk back. I'm gonna stick it out with Lilly maybe till I reach Gold 4 or Plat 1 and then play Manon and learn her. I'll see how I feel about this comment by the end of the month.

    Small update - I have now looked at data across 130 prominent members of FGC and competitive players. Current character usage stat looks as follows:
    JP, Manon - 16 Dee Jay - 15 Marisa - 13 Cammy, Chun, Honda - 11 Juri - 9 Ken - 8 Dhalsim, Jamie, Lily, Luke, Ryu, Zangief - 7 Blanka, Guile - 6 Kimberly - 3 Obviously these aren't final set in stone picks but for a brand new game that's quite a roster diversity

    Thoughts on Manon and the game after my first day of ranked. I ended up in gold after doing all my placements and I fought a few matches after that.

    Tried to punish heavy Blanka Ball with Manon's Level 1. She stops dead in her tracks literally 1 pixel in front of him, it felt like Capcom was just trolling me.
     
    Went to training mode and unless I'm missing something the only way to punish that move with her is perfect parry into QFB LK which does almost no damage. I think Ono's ghost is still lingering in Capcom HQ.

    Have you tried to parry Honda's headbutts?
    'Cause I've been getting a lot of perfect parries without even trying. I've punished directly with command grab as Manon even though the damage scaling is pretty horrendous, but it gives me medals and makes Honda a little more scared of throwing headbutts, not that he'll ever stop anyway.
