I'm of the opinion that, if they come together, everyone will be happy!  As I saw a designer (who unfortunately disappeared from Twitter) I like doing, putting RyuxKen and RyuxChun-Li together! 😌

However, to be honest, as much as I know about Ryu's friendship with Chun-Li, it's hard not to think of anything else with what Capcom has done. Sakura was left out. 🤷‍♀️

Me too. Because of this artwork:

It's a Neo Shadaloo uniform in Chun-Li. Despite having been rejected, as some rejected costumes have served as inspiration for others, apparently. I wonder if this will be a reality.

Random Thoughts after completing all of Ed's WT and Arcade Mode story
First and foremost, I have MUCH more respect for him as a character, and am even more impressed with his inclusion into SF6. One of SF6's concepts with returning characters is aging them up and maturing them. And Ed went from a spunky, hot-headed, emo boy in 5, to a respected, confident, acknowledged leader in SF6. The last artwork you unlock of him in his WTM with him leading Neo-Shadaloo and looking like a real "young commander" is easily my favorite artwork of Ed that exists.
For as much bad things Shadaloo has done in the past, part of me loves that Ed doesn't depict Balrog as a bad person. Yeah he's given him many a rough and tough lessons. But I think what struck me the most is that Balrog was the first to see Ed as a person instead of an experiment. Balrog, of all people. I know Ed had to leave the nest from Balrog to grow up, become a man, and to become stronger. But Ed never showed any sign of hatred for the man who effectively raised him and taught him how to box. And I guess that's why Ed's character story from SFV still continues to be one of my favorite character stories from that game, because we get to see a side of Balrog that we've never seen, nor we thought he had.
I'll get to the individuals of Neo-Shadaloo later. But I have a strong feeling that some more Neo-Shadaloo members will make it to the playable roster eventually. I feel their story has now become much more intriguing, now that most of the Nayshall plot has been settled, and many of the WW fighters are happiliy living their new lives.
I think out of all of them, Falke and Baba Mwalimu might be the most likely to become playable. What I'm worried about is that many of the new or returning fighters that will come from SF6 will be from existing factions or entities: like Neo Shadaloo, or Metro City. And I personally would like to see Capcom try more original characters.
Still wondering WHOSE BABY DIS IS???

Baba Mwalimu is essentially Overwatch's Winston. But the monkey, if I'm not mistaken, is Kiki, Santamu's (former Shadaloo doll) pet money. I think I remembered Kiki following Ed and Balrog post-ASF. So I was wondering if it grew up to be the gorilla of Neo-Shadaloo or not. But Kiki is still alive and well and looks like serving Ed and his crew nicely.

I think if Baba Mwalimu does become playable in the future, I think he'll play similarly to Gorilla Grodd from Injustice, but I think Baba will have Kiki as an assist to possibly pester and harass their Opp while baba sets them up for big damaging combos or command grabs.
Cypher and Doberman don't really intrigue me that much. Cypher never looked too interesting, and I was always more curious about Baba in the first Neo-Shadaloo artwork we've seen, compared to Cypher. And Doberman looks a little too... babyfaced? For a lack of a better word.  Maybe the "gentle giant" of the crew?
But if there is one neo-shadaloo member that's got me even more intrigued and wanting more information about, it's the freaking dolphin!

Just wanted to get this nagging feeling in the back of my mind out of the way. It seems that most of the story is setting up for the return of M. Bison, if not in physical form, than as another host (like Ed). I am personally rooting against the former (many apologies to our lord Daemos, wherever he is). I feel that if that happens, M. Bison will be the absolute final character of the SF6 roster, which would set up the next plot for SF7.
But if he were to come back, I much prefer taking the Ed story route, and have Ed to maintain control of his weakening body against the growing psycho power and M. Bison's control. I feel that would be the best way to at least have M. Bison come back without really bringing him back. I like seeing the struggle, especially seeing Ed's body deteriorating, which makes me feel this is inevitably gonna end up being a losing battle. Maybe a future Ed in SF7 can have a "activation" form where  M. Bison takes total control, ala Dark Pheonix in MVC3.
Lastly, Every new stage will eventually have a master to correlate with that stage. It took a while for the China stage to be added in WTM. But it eventually served to be the meeting hub for AKI.
Now I'm curious, which character will eventually will we meet up to train with in WTM for the new Shadaloo Ruined Lab stage? I doubt it'd be anyone from Neo-Shadaloo. And I don't think any of the former Shadaloo generals will likely have that hub as a meeting ground. And I think M. Bison will either miss the cut, or be the last confirmed character, so that may take a while. So which SF candidate would fit the Ruined Lab and have that be the meeting hub and training ground, since it wasn't Ed?
I'm thinking it'll be either Seth, C. Viper, or some other character related to both Shadaloo and SIN.
