  1. Street Fighter Masters / Legends / Origins are not canon to the games. Street Fighter 6 comics, specifically the stories written by Nakayama, are canon to the games.
  2. As of now, Tekken 8 has the best cinematic story mode in the genre. After Jin hit that pose and that theme started playing i knew this was the only modern fighting game that cared about its story.
  3. So it's just like how SF6 was supposed to be about the "new generation" but then they turn around and make Ken the main character?
  4. Nothing on G but according to Rashid his ancestors got obliterated by invaders with "fair skin and golden hair, and flew banners split evenly in red and blue." After that you get artwork where you can see Gill riding a horse.
  5. Juri beat Cammy without using the FSE and she had the upperhand against Guile & Chun-Li when she was fighting normally. The weaker SFV Juri was able to fight Vega to a draw more than once. The same Vega who bullied Cammy throughout A Shadow Falls. SF doesn't shy away from new characters beating down the old but this is nicest Capcom's been in a long time. I don't think we'll ever see Jamie fight the WW's since the end result will make people mad.
  6. Makes sense to me. Alex came out of nowhere and put Balrog to sleep. Juri did the same to Chun-Li, Guile and Cammy. Maybe the World Warriors aren't that big of a deal in the world of fighting.
  7. That's 2 official sources where Capcom called Abel a protagonist. C. Viper was never the main protagonist. In the vanilla version of SFIV the first character you see is Abel.
  8. Alex's game flopped. Abel's game was the first SF game in nearly a decade. No one cared about the new stuff people wanted the nostalgia. Rashid's game flopped in it's first year. Luke is the only protagonist with a good game backing him. It also helps that he has a personality, a rival and isn't a coward who backs down a from a fight. I'm going to play Luke just as Capcom intended: Modern Controls + Wifi.
  9. Lily* Manon* Marisa & Zangief* Ryu Blanka E. Honda Cammy* Deejay Will probably have arcade modes that aren't worth looking into. The characters with * next to their names had their arcade modes streamed on twitch.
  10. To me, that scene established that they're both nerfed but they'll continue going forward anyway. For Ryu we see that he's always holding back the SNH in every fight. Zombie Nash destroyed Guile and he still had no idea what was going on with his body, then shortly after we see that his new body was already breaking down after fighting Urien. It's crazy how the weakest Nash in the series casually walked up to Guile, Cammy and Chun-Li. He could take all 3 of them at once like a KOF boss. R.I.P Nash. All that bum did was beat up a bunch of jobbers alongside 2 other fighters. Cody breaking a wall with his fist is nothing when Karin (Sakura tier) and Chun-Li (jobber) knocked down those metal doors in SFV. Despite being a side character, Nash has better feats than 80% of the cast who spend their time doing nothing. Nash was built different.
  11. When Gouken banished that loser there was no mention of the SNH. The only time Dan used the SNH was in the UDON comics. There's no "holding back" he really is weak and he'll always be a joke. Sean is weak because he's just started his journey and Ken's a bad teacher, so he has nowhere to go but up. SF6 Sean should be an average fighter depending on how much time has passed since 3rd Strike.
  12. Is this...a good theme that actually fits the character and respect their legacy?
  13. Dhalsim is there but they made him really small on the bottom left. He's the only character in that panel who helped Ryu yet they make it seem like he's less important than Blanka who Ryu's never spoken to (on screen).
