@Jocelotyou can first try installing your old drivers. Uninstall radeon graphics driver, then install them fresh. Choose the option to restore settings to factory defaults. You can also try to see if it's a heat issue. Is your PC stuffed into an enclosure or some kind of cabinet? Make sure there is good airflow around it. You can also try running it for a while with the side panel off. Let me know if either of these things help!

What are your system specs? You said the system was crashing before? Crashing how? Blue screen? System lock up? System shutting itself off?

I don't like World Tour that much. Compared to average fighting game single player content it's neat, but I wouldn't say it's actually good. It's not particularly fleshed out and what's there is pretty bland. It's basically a tutorial mode that barely has a plot and happens to have a lot of Capcom references in it. If World Tour was a standalone game it would be getting a horrible reception. It only gets this much love because it happens to be bolted to a SF game. I put 50+ hours into that mode just to see where it goes and the answer is that it pretty much goes nowhere -- so I actually agree with him. Maybe if they continue to update WT it will become something great in the future, but right now I don't find it terribly interesting.

If you're going to have a massive full-size GPU it's better to just stay with m-atx. Most ITX cases that support full size hardware are too big. Some of them are almost the same size as a normal mid-tower, defeating the purpose of going ITX in the first place.

This place isn't for political debate. There's a reason I do not allow a politics thread. If someone wants to say 'hey this thing happened' and a bunch of ppl want to say 'wow that's fucked up' or 'wow that's good' then fine. But the discourse ends there. What I don't need is someone going on a rant about why this or that is bad and then have it devolve into a war -- which it always does. If you don't agree with some shit, you can just downvote it. If something is straight up inappropriate/makes you uncomfortable, you can report it instead. The reason why reporting is so important is because I assume MOST of you are reasonable, nice people. And if all the reasonable nice people work together, what tends to happen is anyone who goes wild and starts ranting will get censored/reported to me. And if someone is reported to me enough I will take more serious action. I have given several people on here many chances. Not singling you out Sonic, but instead of blocking people everyone needs to be REPORTING POSTS. There are systems in place that will hide unpopular/bad posts and that will let ME know when bad shit is being said. Blocking does nothing because it just solves things for YOU. If everyone does their duty and reports the bad shit the whole place will get cleaned up. Last time I had a full-time mod people complained they were too much. Now I don't have one and people are upset but are also not doing their part to keep this place nice. We need to come together as a COMMUNITY to maintain this place. If you guys can't do that then I'll just have to find someone who will police it.

The development staff for FF16 were required to watch the first 4 seasons of Game of Thrones. They have straight up said they are trying to make something that is like GoT.

I have no issues on my phone or PC, but it's possible devices with less RAM are choking on it. The site does not load all the videos at once, so it shouldn't be an issue -- however in the future I will be asking @Sonichumanand others to post text links instead of embedding a ton of videos. One vid here or there are fine but maybe there's no need to have a post with like 10 videos in it.

Yeah but I'm talking about big games that were 30fps on release on their original consoles. GTA V runs on a toaster now, but when it was new and it was a 30fps title and everyone loved it. It's easy to run older games on newer consoles at 60fps, but they aren't originally developed and released that way. The number of old games that ran well on PS5 is what gave people the mistaken impression that 60fps was somehow gonna be a new standard moving forward.

I mean if the vast majority of your dollars come from people that only care about the sick particle effects and don't mind that it halves the framerate, that's what you're going to do. I thought Driveclub was ok. 😞 Most if not all the Forza Horizon games are 30fps on console also iirc.

60fps is nice to have, and in some cases it's necessary. COD4 was 60fps and it's part of their brand. Fighting games have always been 60fps. Racing games are often 60fps, but not always (see: Driveclub). That being said, many of the best-selling and critically acclaimed games have never had a 60fps target and only get high framerate when ported to a newer console afterwards. Just off the top of my head: God of War reboot Horizon: Zero Dawn Most Assassin's Creed games The Last of Us GTA V Most of the Gears of War games FF7 Remake Red Dead Redemption 2 most of the modern Far Cry games Skyrim/Fallout Can some consumers notice the difference? Yes. Is it enough to push the needle when some of the greatest selling games ever were 30fps on release? Probably not. Designing for fixed hardware is about picking and choosing. Graphics / game logic are going to be chosen over framerate almost every time. Your brother was put off by Destiny 2, but it and the original Destiny sold like hotcakes and were 30fps games. He's definitely a small minority of the playerbase. Well that's just it -- most of the time the performance mode isn't the default. It's also not what's shown in trailers and promotional materials. The vast majority of ppl who play are going to be playing the pretty low framerate mode, and they won't care. Many won't know to look for the performance mode toggle. Sometimes they won't even have a choice. If developers/console manufacturers thought a lack of 60fps was going to be a real problem, things wouldn't be this way. Sales and reception show that high framerate just isn't as important to the population at large. I love high framerate gaming, and I have a nice PC. But I also completed many of the games on the above list on console at 30fps and I was ok with it. Gears of War/Horizon/Last of Us were phenomenal games, even at 30fps. High framerate is nice to have, but it isn't going to be a dealbreaker for most. Fact is that if high framerate is REALLY important to you, console is never going to be the best option.

I mention this every time this conversation comes up: 60fps is never going to be the defacto standard. Developers are always going to go for 30fps + higher graphics, especially as the systems continue to age. Some people may have thought this was gonna be the 60fps generation, but that was only because of the long period of pandemic/console scarcity and the flood of games that were cross-gen. 30fps has been common since at least the PS1 days and it's not really going to change. There are many consumers who don't care about 60fps but care a lot about visual fidelity.

It's the same every time: Unblockable > mid > low > overhead > drive impact Just jump the first hit, block all the rest, and when he goes for DI you counter DI. Free damage. Also if you can get only the first hit of his DP to hit he's punishable since the followup won't connect and has lots of recovery.
