This might be something I get for my wife. She's got a older 2nd gen Ryzen (I think 2700x) in her PC, but the IPC gains between 2nd gen and 5th gen are nothing to mess with; and warrant me looking into this for her.

So, I've been away for an extended period of time due to life stuff going on.

Long story short, we're moving at the end of next month to be closer to our grandkids; either by renting a apartment for a year and saving for a down payment on a house or just yoloing 15k for a down payment on a 100k house. We can do either one.

From my understanding, Quakecon should have a playable demo at the event (which I am looking forward to trying out).

so, good news/bad news stuff. 

Good news is that I preordered the Xenoblade 3 OST when it went up for sale. Bad news is that we have about a month left here before we move into a new apartment, and it releases Mid-August iirc.

I didn't come into his life until he was 15-16, but the previous father figures in his life either left to return back home (his biological dad moved back to Costa Rica, where he still lives, and his second stepfather was mentally abusive towards him and my wife). He's not really active in his son's life either, despite urgings from both his son's mother and with us; so he spends all his time taking care of his wife's 4 kids and 1 grandchild. I wouldn't change a thing I've done to help raise him back in the day, with the exceptions of friends he met who subsequently got him into meth. Those friends would never have been around, but I didn't know at the time

The OnePlus Pad is supposed to be really good, if what I have heard is accurate. Only bad thing I can immediately see is that they're using the charging tech from Oppo/BBK sub-branded phones; which only works as advertised if you spend the extra money on their charger plus that hideous orange/red cord! $500 bucks is a little much though for 8gb RAM/128gb of storage in a tablet form factor, at least to me it is.

Got another contract for work that goes through the end of July, so of course I plan on celebrating more work by buying more stuff I don't have room for on my shelves!
