Somewhere on my Facebook feed, I have a picture with him from PAX South 2019. 

So recently (right after Christmas), I lost my wallet. It had my Driver's License and all of my debit cards in it, plus I had a super nice wallet from Bellroy. I just now in the last day or two found out that the State of Texas finally mailed my replacement license, and should be here soon. Last wallet I had was a very muted green, nah fam I got a bright fucking yellow wallet now. If I misplace that shit, I'm gonna have zero problems finding it. Kinda reminded me of this below:

I'm quite out of shape, so I did find a course through Garmin (via my recent purchase of a Forerunner 55) that's geared towards people with sedentary lifestyles such as mine that's more forgiving. The tail end of the program will be when I run/walk my 5k; and I'm hoping that between that program and switching to Keto will help me tremendously. I basically got tired of sitting around, and said fuck it.

I'm probably gonna wait until some point in February to pick it up. I still have quite the backlog of Switch games to get through; so I'm probably safe on waiting to get this. I might get this for completing my 5K, I'm not entirely sure.

Shmup highlights include Twinbee (the very first one), Salamander, and Gradius I & II. I really want to get this, but I may end up getting it digital because of funds being short this next week. I might be able to switch some funds around and get the Classic version, if not just the game cart by itself.

Not gonna lie, the Distant Worlds version of OWA is pretty damn good. It's even better performed live!

So I was true to my word, and my Garmin Forerunner 55 arrived earlier this week. Here's a brief review.

Pros:
Battery life is super good to start out, 3 days of pretty much having the thing on non-stop and it's only below 75% just today.
Comes with a free compliment of training courses (using one of the courses to do my 5k training)
Watch faces are super nice, with some pretty decent free ones. 
Strava integration is super nice, and welcomed. 

Cons:
Found a bug with the emergency contact system (have my wife on there) and occasionally it doesn't sync up right. (edit 01/11/2023 - this was fixed a couple of days ago, and was user error on my part).
Dress bands are expensive, but not as expensive as the Milanese loops for Apple Watch ($80 from Garmin directly for their Milanese versus $100 from Apple for the same)
Initial time to get used to menu system on watch. I almost called 911 a couple of times completely by mistake figuring it out.
Standard stuff about responding to messages on non-WearOS device.

Got my copies of Panorama Cotton, Cotton 100%, and Deathsmiles I & II for PS4 yesterday from Strictly Limited Games. Took them right at a year (and maybe a little over) to produce disc copies of those three and ship them from Germany stateside.

Out of the three LRG-ish places I like to order from, Pix'n Love is the fastest to order from by far.

Got my copies of Panorama Cotton, Cotton 100%, and Deathsmiles I & II for PS4 yesterday from Strictly Limited Games. Took them right at a year (and maybe a little over) to produce disc copies of those three and ship them from Germany stateside.

I missed out on Winter is Coming this year because the date snuck up on me. It happened to be a week where we were super busy at work, but I couldn't get out of it, plus only the cheap seats were left @ CCC. I typically like ringside when I go watch wrestling there, but I had to be on the website minute one when tickets go on sale otherwise shit sells out around ringside super quick. On the upside, getting to watch Suzuki and Briscoes/FTR match 1 this year live was super awesome!

My Switch backlog continues to grow, with the additions of Bayo 3 and Pokemon Scarlet.

I honestly don't think it's that, as Smash tournaments (especially majors) play out without Nintendo's support all the time. But what seems to be the larger issue is with PandaGaming and threatening to sic Nintendo on the organizers of the other circuit. They (talking about Smash players here) have every right to be upset, as prior it looked like Nintendo was actually warming up to the idea of official tournaments; only to get shut tf down. The Smash scene I occasionally visit has tossed players out in the past for not practicing good hygiene.

But yeah, let's keep the long running joke about Smash players and hygiene up and rolling.

As I mentioned in the VG General Thread, I'm picking up Bayo 3 and P5R on Wednesday, and I'm trying to figure out what game I want to get for free.

So, I went to watch a eSports event in a movie theater on Saturday.

I got hit on by a couple of attractive women, and if I wasn't married; they both would have passed out from screaming and moaning so much.
