    Sagat - Fei Long - Makoto - Hugo - Menat - Cody

It's a good list and my list is somewhat similar.  I'd substitute Hugo for Sodom since he's a grappler that I feel we've been talking about for a while but he's never been added for some reason.  Sagat, Makoto, Menat and Cody all bring the hype.

I think Capcom will definitely have a slot for a new character.  Every season barring the 1st DLC season of SFV (which was more of an extension of the launch roster) had at least one new character and they did the same with the first season in 6.

Its crazy to me still how good Cammy is but how other characters are just...way fucking better.

Cammy is perfectly balanced to me and I don't think she really needs big changes either way.  There's clearly a group of characters that are slightly stronger but she can hold her own against most of the cast and doesn't have too many lopsided matchups.

So the Season 2 roster may have leaked via Reddit by a leaker named shinvergeben back on March 9th. It wasn't until a week later where he/she provided further details on these characters. Take this with a grain of salt, of course:

Happy there might be 6 characters but hoping this leak isn't true because no Cody or Karin 😭

Tbh just for the fun factor would like Ryu get one more special 😁

Visually Hashogeki has been most boring shit ever (Lv2 SA is badass though), who the hell thought would have been cool give him as new move a fucking short hadoken with slight modified hadoken animation

I understand was already kinda like that in SFV as reversal but still shit idea... lore wise they got the timeskip to justify redesign that thing differently to be fresh and new

Give me back this shit, was pure hype😆

I have PTSD from Ryu players mashing that V-Trigger during my block strings.  It was like Ed players mashing 3 punches for his reversal but worse because it led to 50% damage with his super.

I'm pretty sure even with the nerfs that Luke is still top 1. I think he dropped from S tier to S  tier.

I just wonder what are the chances of characters hit during the Ed update getting more balance changes once the big patch drops. Because I don't mind if characters are good (I'm not an NRS dev) but I don't think my eyes can glaze over any more seeing Luke being the unequivocal best character  in two games back to back

I know it's not going to happen but I wish Ryu and Luke could swap spots in the tier list.  Ryu is the true poster boy and deserves to be S tier for a change.

  6. I don't think Jamie got that much to be honest.  The free drink off the forward throw is nice but every Jamie main just went for oki in that situation - I guess it's nice to have the option.  The SA2 change where he keeps his drinks level after is nice but is more of a bug fix.  And then he just got a minor damage buff and longer more plus after SA1.  Nothing to write home about.

Ryu's changes are much better, they actually affect his pressure with the hashogeki buffs and solar plexus proximity block change.

A.K.I got a buffed crouch jab which is already an amazing normal and more active frames on st. medium punch.

Gief getting the Alex treatment now with those Lariat buffs.

I get that for people at my level, but I don't think the pros have meter issues like nubs do.

How is it safer?  A reaction DI to a DI will be a punish counter and then you can land a big combo, pushing them closer to the corner, or getting out yourself.

If you aren't 100% sure a DI is coming it's just safer to parry because it also covers other options, plus a perfect parry off a DI will get a side switch.  I prefer parry over DI when I'm cornered because even if you miss the perfect parry, you prevent the wall splat.  Sometimes DI's don't seem to come out even when I know they're coming.

Does anyone know why a lot of the high level players will react to a DI with a parry instead of a DI?  I've seen it quite a bit in this tournament and I've been noticing the drive bar and it happens even when they both have a lot of drive bar. I would think reacting with a punish counter DI would be the better play but there has to be a reason.

It's the safer play because it covers multiple options.

Fucks sake, I can't stand saint cola commentary. Half the current fgc commentators are straight trash, everybody's trying to be the next yipes while having none of the wit or the charm the man himself has

Yeah, I'm not a fan of him or Vicious.   They did SFL Japan and it was painful.

Ultra David, James Chen, Yipes are my favourites.
