  1. Just on normal. I considered upping the difficulty, but then I figured I have enough games in my backlog that it might be better to take it easy on the normal difficulty. There's still Mario Wonder, BG3, FF VII Remake and Rebirth, Prince of Persia, Granblue and now freaking Unicorn is out. Hahahaha so many games.
  2. Still playing through Persona 3 Reload. Really enjoying it so far, but there are a couple small annoyances. The first one is that the game is much easier than P4 and P5. This isn't too much of a problem since it makes the game go by quicker. Considering my gaming backlog, I'm actually glad you don't need to grind levels. The other weird issue is the text they used for social links. If you aren't going to level up a social link, the prompt says something along the lines of, "I don't think this social link will improve no matter how much time I spend with this person." I thought some of the links were locked behind story progression before I could level them up. However, no, it's just like the old games where you just need to hang out with them more and then later on you can level up the social link. At least it never feels like you wasted a day since you can just level up your personality traits or level up another social link.
  3. It’s been hours since I found out and I’m still just shocked. His works meant so much to me. I can’t believe he’s gone.
  4. I might be alone on this, but I'd kind of be interested in a full remake in 3D while keeping Toriyama's art style. I'm thinking something like Dragon Quest XI (which I can't believe is getting close to a decade old). I'd basically want the battle system to stay the same though. Maybe add a couple new moves or something along those lines.
  5. @RSG3Ah that makes sense. I was trying to play it more as a pure action rpg similar to Granblue or FF16. I tried to focus more on basic attacks and dodging. I kept thinking I was missing the dodge window for attacks.
  6. The best part is when you play the blu ray and the shit stops playing part way through an episode.
  7. With Unicorn Overlord also coming out soon, I feel like this is the first time in awhile when I have so many great games in my backlog. Currently on Persona 3R as I never really played any of the previous releases. Then I still have Mario Wonder, BG3 Act 3 to finish, Prince of Persia and Granblue Fantasy Relink to finish. I'll be honest, I'm enjoying Granblue Fantasy more than Monster Hunter. I couldn't get into MH for whatever reason. However, there are so many different play styles in Granblue I love it. By the way, do any of you have any tips for getting into the FF7 Remake battle system. I tried the Remake awhile ago, but for whatever reason the battle system didn't click with me. I really want to get back into that game with all the hype around Rebirth.
  8. I don't normally double post, but I thought I'd post some initial thoughts on PoP. So far, I think it lives up to the hype I've seen. The platforming is fun and even this early I can see how you can quickly get a good rhythm and speed through the platforming. It kind of reminds me of Sonic's platforming in that regard. In terms of combat, it's definitely combo heavy and satisfying, though lacking in impact for your attacks. You also need to rely on parrying attacks. I personally prefer this style of combat compared to Hollow Knight. The downside I've found is that I will sometimes have a tough time seeing attacks coming when multiple enemies overlap on each other. Lastly, I do appreciate the more colorful art style as I feel like a good number of games in a similar style all tend towards a darker color palate. Overall, during my brief time, I think this game is worth considering if you love this genre. Edit: Yeah I’m definitely enjoying the game. Kept doing the one more thing until I realized it’s 3:30 am. edit 2: Alright I think I’m pretty far now. Some more random thoughts. The enemy overlap hasn’t really happened anymore now that I’m better at the game. The tutorial is optional but helpful and you get money from completing it. Also, now that I have a lot more time with the game, the main annoyance I have is with the frequent load times between “rooms”. It’s only for a few seconds yet it is frustrating to see them so often. I guess I got spoiled on games with minimal loading screens. Additionally, there has been some patches of slowdown here and there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still loving the game thus far.
  9. Saw the same review and it’s what got me to buy it. Going to start it later today.
  10. I don't preorder games for the most part, but I'm so excited for the new Prince of Persia game I actually preordered so I get to play it a few days early. It's gotten pretty good reviews from some people I follow. Speaking of the prior ones, Sands of Time is still one of my favorite games. It felt like a great mix of platforming, action and story. For some reason, the sequels never interested me enough to buy them. I did enjoy the cell shaded one, but overall I found it sadly forgettable compared to Sands of Time outside of the visuals.
  11. Hahahaha. You guys got me into finding a video on the sound design of God of War. Edit: The video is mostly about foley in general, but still interesting.
  12. So far, it seems like the rumor is that it will be on Switch.
  13. I played Jedi Survivor on PS5 and it ran alright from what I remember. There were some issues here and there and some funny glitches, but I don't recall any major problems while playing. It felt similar to the first.
  14. Best game for me last year was BG3. I never thought there would be a game I’d enjoy more than a new Zelda, but here we are. Spider Man 2 was also great. I still need to try out Alan Wake 2 at some point though I may not since I never played the first game.
