Angel does the exact same stuff Vega does but at least Vega's stuff is just weird and off the wall, sometimes conspiratorial which I get why that's not ok. Angel's just an angry nerd who's got a chip on his shoulder about race and naruto fans for God knows what reason and is constantly trying to bait and accuse people of stuff. Dude needs to cool out and stop being so adversarial.

I'm not mad that you post what you post, it's just annoying spam really. I scroll past it like I throw out junk mail, but I stick up for Vega because while I get why some people don't like him, I don't think he's a bad guy, and you of all people really have no room to talk about spammers when you're posting like you do. 

So, nothing is concrete yet but I might be getting my own place in March. 
 
My friends who are married are renting their house from the male friends parents. They have a chance to buy it in March. The appraiser is going to come by this Thursday. 
 
If it’s appraised at a value they can afford (which they’re certain it will be) they’re going to buy it. 
 
the reason why this is relevant to me is because in their back yard there is a 1 bedroom house that a friend of the family lives in. Well she’s also moving out of the 1 bed room house in March. 
 
After my friends got home from talking about all this they immediately offered me to move into the house after it’s all said and done. We’d sit down and talk about rent and shit. 
 
im really hoping they do. The house they live in is really nice, really spacious and a great “married couples first house”. I also really appreciate that they immediately thought about me and came to me when it came to the spare house. 
 
Fingers Crossed for them and me.

Tech and culture move faster than politics, it'll always be that way, especially with older folks running things. I get why they did what they did, for them, the future looked like nobody buying their record because afaik, the iTunes store hadn't opened yet. 
 
There's less money in the music industry than there's ever been. Just like society itself, the winners are winning bigger than ever and everyone else is fighting for scraps. You could make a decent living easier, at least before the pandemic (in the old days if you couldn't get signed it was hard to have a career), but being a star is a longer shot than even winning the lottery these days.  Labels make money mainly on publishing and their interest in Spotify now that no one buys albums anymore. In a sense, metallica was right to fight it, but you can't fight the inevitable. If labels had gotten onboard with the file sharing thing sooner, the industry would have been healthier sooner, but they didn't, they used thE RIAA to sue people and did everything they could to try to stem the tide they created.

I saw this 44 year old Asian woman on the internet and she looked like 21 years old. I think she was Taiwanese. She was pretty, too. 

One of the biggest problems is the fact this is the industries fault. They didn't want to hire women past their 30s for they longest time unless it was for a mom or wife role. They bullied those women to do anything to stay competitive during a time those surgeries were new as fuck

I actually got out and walked up to our mailbox yesterday in the snow. I've been inside pretty much all week, with the exception of a couple minutes here and there to let our dogs out. 

Our HOA is letting the remainder of the water be used today for 3 hours from 3pm to 6pm, after that it's up to the common carrier for the utility to get things back up and working.

Metallica was well within their rights to sue Napster, but they're old school and didn't realize that sometimes leaving money on the table allows you to make more money in the long run. But yeah the dmca rules need an overhaul because it's gotten ridiculous the way they're employed especially by big companies. 
 
THe overall problem that I see tho  is that lawyers ruin everything and should all be put to death. 

Alot of the dcma rules are fucked. To my knowledge the record company doesn't have to be the ones to claim copyright infringement. Like on YouTube anyone can claim it, so YouTube has to immediately take it down or their liable due to the dcma laws. It takes them days to figure of its a fake claim or not.  But also fuck Metallica because they helped create this problem 

Lol twitch is the worst, I feel dirty having their app on my phone. 
 
Metallica's record company probably owns all or at least a good chunk of their publishing, but this is twitch being ridiculous and record companies being equally ridiculous for not figuring out a blanket licensing deal for this stuff.

I’m still affected by the winter storm that hit Texas head on. I’m lucky to not have power disappear, but being without water is a whole different thing.

Poor Metallica.  They probably didn't see this coming.
