  1. Not sure if i'm explaining it well, but what i'm trying to say is that if shoryuken will be the technique used to declare Ansastuken worthy successor seems Akuma who thinks only about heaven and threw away earth (his humanity) already missed the original meaning of the move ps: is fun at first i fucking hated the knee to be so evident in SF6, because found more pleasant visually the move to focus on the fist only... iirc even debated this with somebody before SF6 launch, not sure if was you or somedy else, we write so much lol Iirc i was even trying to blame it on camera angle, thought move animation did shit job at show how the chin strike was(or should be in my mind) main focus, while i was wrong and actually even if "uncool" there may be very good reason knee is getting some spotlight too Now that the move done like that may have a symbolic meaning (that i ever missed lol) for whole Ansatsuken style i can live with it much more lol😆 This is it, and it is because Ryu won't succumb to the SnH in the way Akuma wants he's decided to play Ryu's game and start to take inspiration from him. The thing is when it comes to the Shoryu in canon it was the second most effective move in Ansatusken right below the SGS. Goutetsu didn't ban the move, but Gouken did for himself yet he did teach it to his students as their most potent attack. In canon, the SRK is supposed to be a last resort move which is why both Ryu and Ken have some variant of it as their SA3 & CA . I understand from the canon of SRK that it by design is meant to kill in one hit. The SRK was already scientifically proven to have the potential to knock a person's head clean off their shoulders. What is Akuma doing to the statue in SF6 that he's practicing his Shoryu on? It's a blatant killing move yet Gouken and Ryu have made the attack just as effective without the destruction and killing through the technique. How is the technique performed? Look at the obvious difference between a Tiger Uppercut and SRK. From the initial description of an SRK you would think a style like Muay Thai would benefit from an extra knee strike within the said technique. Although, Sagat has always performed Tiger Uppercut without a launching knee like the Shoryu. Possibly because even Sagat knew that adding such impact without good judgment would probably end in disaster. The Shin Shoryu in SF6 displays that Ryu launches his opponent with his knee during the final hit and that his fist only initially connects with the jaw and gut of his opponent. It doesn't launch the opponent through his jaw like a typical SRK would be designed to do. The launching action is directed toward the opponent's full body through a knee to the stomach in hopes of a clean KO. This is in direct contrast to Kage just a game prior in SF5 who would launch a knee in conjunction with his fist connected directly to his opponent's jaw during his Metsu Shoryu. This would probably add more impact to the devastating nature of the SRK in rending a person's head from their neck.
  2. The whole Ryu petal training is a callback to the Nakahira manga and his Third Strike ending. At the beginning of the manga, it was explained that part of Gouken's teachings included Ryu and Ken using their energy to coax a leaf down from a tree and into their hands. During the SF3 ending we see Ryu himself saying he's far from even telling where the leaves would fall although he is keen enough to catch a few in his hand by chance. During SF6 Ryu now has enough mastery to seemingly not only control multiple petals from the tree through his energy, they seem to flow with it as well. In contrast to Akuma's hardstyle training which focuses solely on destruction, Ryu's style is more so akin to Gouken's now more than ever. Akuma probably knows he's failed in trying to goad Ryu into succumbing to SnH and he's giving up on trying to convert him over and is preparing for their next meeting
  3. I had been speculating for some time that the aura surrounding Ryu's fist during his Shin Shoryu was SnH and from the look of Akuma's fist in the teaser trailer they're a mirror of each other.
  4. These are just concepts for Luke of course. Interesting that at least 5 of those concepts for Luke are black characters. Regarding the fact the whole game is urban-themed and that they were considering a person of color to be the main character of SF6 is kinda fitting I feel. Also, the artwork in the second-row sort of resembles Nash from SFA3, the poses are similar.
  5. They should have more unique fighter experiences. The fact that there are unique fighters like Azam and even Carlos who have their own unique move sets means they probably could do a Falke or Balrog for Ed's inclusion (There was even a bootleg Balrog when Rashid was included for crying out loud!)
  6. Nakayama had made a comment to a fan a few years ago regarding him wanting Ed to have a group of friends. He hinted that the naming convention of the friends would follow some sort of Alphabet pattern. The first Neo Shadaloo members were the first in the Alphabet series, and now we have the rest. (The Dolphin Amrita is “A” and Goliath is “G”)
  7. To be fair apparently Ed hates Neo Shadaloo too…He hates them following him all over the place even though all he wears is Neo Shadaloo branded motifs….Then again those aren’t his Neo Shadaloo members. No Falke WT cameo either like Fang or Azam.
  8. The whole Neo Shadaloo narrative doesn’t seem very fleshed out. It almost seems like theirs two factions that are actively working against each other. You have Ed’s faction which is trying to shut down old Shadaloo operations and free the possible abductees which have been experimented on with Psycho Power. Then you have another faction that aligns with the old Shadaloo motives and is kidnapping individuals like Bosch and experimenting on them with Psycho Power. For how many for how ever many Shadaloo abductees Ed’s faction can save there will be a counter faction which is abducting more people to replace the ones set free. They’re both claiming to be Neo Shadaloo, so is Ed’s Neo Shadaloo attempting to free the abductees of former Shadaloo only to have the former Shadaloo members take Ed’s faction name and start abducting other people?
  9. Is anyone following what this Neo Shadaloo thing is all about? Is it a movement that Ed started or is it something that the remaining Shadaloo followers are trying to create? To me it sounds like it’s both. Its sounds like JP coined the name up for him, or was he just referring to what Ed calls his faction? Do the Shadaloo remnants want Ed to be their leader to continue Bison’s work? The Shadaloo goons mention Neo Shadaloo like it’s the next upcoming rise of old Shadaloo but Ed doesn’t see it that way.
  10. For a second I thought that Ed’s story mode had leaked only to be disappointed that it was from SF5😂😭
  11. Thanks for the credit😂 You can tell that even though some of these ideas would later be incorporated into the character stories some of these points are outdated. We know that Shadaloo is supposedly destroyed or in disarray after SF5 leading into SF3 and all the way into SF6. They say that Bison and Shadaloo are doing well during the time of SF3, and maybe deep behind the scenes they are, but we know from the apparent it’s not the case. Dudley and Balrog are said not to have met with Dudley only seeing videos of Balrog. We know that not to be the case due to SSF4 which features Dudley’s rival as Balrog. So their relationship has to go beyond just having witnessed video of him. Also how they explain how the Super Art system works in canon is kinda dated. You gotta remember when SF3 came out the last previous SF title was SFA series. That game featured a system where characters had access to different Super Moves according to their Super meter (kinda like 6 is now). To have a character not choose to want to use a technique in their arsenal because of some alternative reality where they don’t know about the technique is just a strange explanation. I’m glad that they did hint that eventually they might have them all again like we do now in SF6.
  12. I've been mentioning it since SF5 came out! After all, it was a major plot point in Ryu's story in overcoming the SnH. Overcoming SnH wasn't about completely abandoning it like the whole light vs dark debate usually goes. Also, if you realize in CA Shin Shoryu, the utilization of the Denjin energy to electrify his fist implies that the SnH had to have been implemented to get said effect.
  13. The point was that he always had a scar on his face. Sure it changes color and if you notice when he’s brainwashed with Psycho Power it shines purple. The point is people think that Capcom is reusing assets and the person in the end credits scene isn’t Bosch but just another NPC that copies his likeness. Many of the Buckler NPCs ironically wear the pink hat, although the model featured in the ending is definitely just Bosch. They could’ve used any other character model but they decided to just cut his hair. They even have concept art for it. So he’s definitely not just reused assets.
  14. This makes me think that the Luke birthday artwork could be taken one of two ways. It could either be a nod to either the Avatar or Bosch. It’s meant to reference that first mission between the two characters. We know that Bosch is implied to be dead given what JP says after we see his charred body. Kinda like how Bison implies Nash is dead after shooting him with aircraft and then throwing him from a waterfall , or how Akuma implies the same with Gouken. They both turned out to be alive after even after having suffered mortal wounds (although Nash had some help from Illuminati.) There seems to be a running theme in SF that even if a character has canonically suffered severe damaged and is implicated to be dead it doesn’t mean they’re actually dead.
  15. Totally forgot that the pink hats were part of the tutorial mission that the Avatar picks for both of them. I’m thinking after World Tour Bosch wears the hat out of reverence for the avatar character. Kinda like how Ryu wears the headband Ken gave him.
