I finished Fallout (the show) tonight and thought it was awesome. I am not a fan of the games and don't like anything Bethesda makes. I am just not into those kind of first person action RPG games at all. So I don't know anything about the game world or anything like that. But I thought the show was great and can't wait for season 2. The way it ended just made me want to watch more and they definitely left a great story to be told in the next season. They also left some things unanswered which is fine too so they can give answers in the next season, unless I missed some stuff. I had read that some people said it got a little slow/down around episode 6 and I agreed but after finishing the final episode, the direction it went in those episodes made total sense why they did that. In general, I just am not a fan in shows where they ... All in all, a fantastic show IMO.

I don't like the games at all (or any Bethesda games really) but watched episode 1 last night and was kinda blown away by how much I liked it. Just the opening scene is like HOLY SHIT!

You all talking bout SF3 versions and made me flip on my cabinet. I just snapped a video of you. I suck at 3s but I don't really "feel" any delay. I can say though playing with a stick, especially a Happ stick, after being on leverless for like 6 months now, feels so damn weird. But I don't think it gets much better than playing fighting games like this, at least not for someone who grew up in the arcade in the 90's.

I don't think I could possibly disagree with you more. I think everything about it looks fantastic, aside from some of the UX stuff with like the menus and where certain options are located. But that is more nitpicky. Go look at the Digital Foundry comparison video of all the different versions of SF6. The PS4 (and XSX) version of the game look a lot different than the current gen ones. I play on PS5 at 1080p on a 10 foot screen and don't notice any jaggies or blurriness. It looks fantastic. My only gripe about the visuals of SF6 would be that some characters blend into the backgrounds a bit too much. I have the stage that is kinda like Gief's stage in prior games out of the list of stages I play on because I don't like how red it is and some characters just blend in to the background a bit. I have also noticed it on some other stages with very specific character outfits but I can't think of it off the top of my head. I know it was an Aki color but can't remember which one or which stage.

Stock assets is a great description and you are so right. Like "hey lets put some UI stuff here and we'll change it later" but they never went back and changed anything.

I can't believe how bad SF5 has aged. It just looks so bad and like it is in a beta form in all aspects - graphics, sounds, UI, etc. I remember when they first showed it off with that Ryu battle (at Evo I think) and thinking how awesome it looked. And then from the time the actual beta came out and how bad that was handled, it just went downhill.

This is random AF... I was talking to my buddy just now about Ermac in the new MK1 and he wasn't aware of the origin of the actual character and the hoax from the original MK1 arcade game. So I did some digging and found the screen shot of where Ermac originated. This is from issue 51 of EGM back in the day. It was a little side column that was in the issue back from 1993. So if you didn't know the origin story of Ermac, this is where it all came from. I will only play a wifi warrior if that is all that is available, and I'm set to 4-5 bar filter, so wifi is always 4 bars (never seen a 5 bar). If I get a hiccup in the first match, which happens like 50% of the time, I will leave after the first match regardless of the outcome of me winning or losing.

I PP'd on a master last night and it felt great.

I could have sworn that I read the character models actually have skeletons and layers of muscles below the textures. If so I'd guess they just change the properties of the outer textures like opacity and color, to show the inner skeleton. The skeleton doesn't have to be hi-res either since it's only seen in those instances.

Ah gotcha it didn't show anything like he was hit yet so I was like WTF.

Well I've been dabbling in ranked a bit more recently and moved up from like 22k to 23.4k. However I only go into ranked every now and then depending on how I am feeling. I will do casual first and see how I'm feeling and I'm feeling good, go into ranked. But I haven't been going into ranked much recently BECAUSE I'm feeling "off" when I am in casual matches.

I feel like I am in a god damn slump right now in SF6. I don't know why but like my execution has gone backwards and I feel like I'm missing stuff that I'd get before, and I'm using Dee Jay so it's not like there is anything SUPER technical. I also feel like I'm hitting the wrong buttons sometimes too, or like for instance, on his AA jackknife I am pressing MK instead of HK, and the HK one is the one for AA and the MK one will trade or get stuffed. Shit like that. I am facing better competition now but I don't feel like it's that. How do I get rid of the yips?

I feel like 5 Nintendo characters could be on the top 20 list of iconic characters. Mario Donkey Kong Bowser Princess Peach Luigi I'm not saying they all SHOULD be on there, but if they were on there, I wouldn't have a problem with them. I feel more people know who those 5 characters are than characters even like Drake or Ellie or a handful of characters on that list.

Yah I'm not referring to just gaming either. A lot of it has to do with the internet and everyone now thinks their voice is important and how easy it is to share their voice. But let's be real - this has been happening since Nintendo/Sega days back in the 90's lol. But back then it was a bit different with games because you would have different developers making the same games on the different platforms and they would be COMPLETELY different than multiplatform games are now a days. Oh, and back then, it was a bunch of kids arguing over this shit. Not a bunch of adults like it is now a days lol.

How bout this. Enjoy 3S if you like 3S, enjoy SF6 if you like SF6. It's okay if you like both of them equally. One doesn't have to be better than the other one. I don't understand this problem in our current society where everyone has to pick a fucking side, and if you are not on the same side, you are basically public enemy number one. (and I am not referring to anyone specifically in this thread - I am just talking generally speaking about this stupid discussion)

I like Chris G's take on this and I agree with his take like 100%. I am only 20 mins into it though.

LMAO I legit had no clue this asshole was teabagging until I watched this replay back. I am pretty sure I turned my head to the side when he hit me with the DI and I was legit mashing my level 3 as he tried to chip me out but fuck him. The replay with commands would confirm that lol. Watch how quick this soft bitch quits too. And he won our first match.

I got to 23k LP last night in ranked and the competition is definitely getting tighter around this level for me. I'm also running into quite a bit of chars I just don't have a lot of matchup knowledge against, like Ed, Lily, Kimberly, and Jamie. When I win sets I'm finding myself winning more sets 2-1 now than 2-0 like I was before, which would put me on these pretty decent streaks of just gaining points. But wining 2-1 is like a net of 60 points instead of 100+ and it's showing. Or I will lose 1-2 as well. I don't see myself losing too many 0-2 sets though so I guess that is good.
