I think my point has completely sailed over your head. If you are going to make her homely. Scan a homely woman. An attractive face model is going to cost more than a homely one. On top of that you are spending extra development time and money to make the attractive model homely. The car thing....well that's just weird. I mentioned why Forza's developer would just model the car they needed. People doing things to their personal vehicles is something else altogether. We actually have a thread for that 😅

She's comic book character that's been around for decades. Of course she has. Peter has been many things. Not sure what that has to do with them face scanning a pretty woman and then making her look homely. You don't see Turn 10 digital scanning a Nissan GT-R then modifying it to look like a Sentra. They just model the Sentra.

People acting big over a video game will never not be corny to me lol. One thing I appreciate about gaming with people in person is that the fear of getting chin checked keeps people respectful.

They have no problem changing faces models in the Spiderman games. They literally changed Peter's face model for the remaster because they wanted to go in different direction. They had the rights to use his original face in the remaster. They decided not to. Which also caused a dustup with fans of game as well.
 
Maybe it's because I'm a car guy but a Ford isn't just a Ford. Appearance depends on the model, trim level, and the year. The Taurus I owned back in 2015 (6th Gen) looked completely different than the on my friend owned (2nd Gen). Humans don't come off of assembly lines but casting calls list a specific range of features (height, ethnicity, build, complexion, etc.) to get the model/actor the company is looking for. Same goes for cars which can be just as specific if not more so.

Someone would have put hands on him in the Arcade days, hell 801 Strider almost did a few years back.

I thought I remember reading somewhere that, after Cammy's face was scarred, Vega made Decapre wear a mask so the same thing wouldn't happen to her face, but I have no idea where I read it.
 
Though when they brought her back in SF4, they made it so that her face was already scarred.  So it would make more sense if Vega was covering her face, rather than protecting it.
