I've given up on getting a PS5. Hopefully can grab whatever inevitable mid-cycle revision comes along. I'm leaning more and more into PC gaming nowadays so unless the KoF15 Steam port is a big 'ol pile of trash I'll probably grab it there.

I think Akira on paper and Akira in the game are two different characters. On paper she fits the SFV meta like a glove but when you play her you quickly realise that she can't open up people as well as Karin or Cammy or Sakura. Her cr.MK is decent, but it's a bit slower than average and her walkspeed is not the best, so getting to the right spot to use it can already be a struggle in some matchups. Her st.LK looks like Sakura's but it's slower and it only leads to a knockdown if you use an EX special. And I think at this point I don't need to go into more detail about how much she struggles against strong fireball zoners. You can try YOLO jumps with VS1 or fishing for hits with her two CC heavies, but she doesn't have a consistent tool to apply pressure in the neutral game.
 
I think she does really well against character that need to get to you, because they force themselves into the range where she excels at. A bit like Gief actually, but she has better defensive options than him, which makes embracing that gameplan less of an issue.
 
Or maybe I just play her all wrong. I don't know, I'm back on the Rose train which has more comfortable cushions and also doesn't make me feel like a pedo, so win-win.

So I went back for real to Rose and I felt like Goku coming out of the time chamber, taking off the training clothes and going Super Sayan all at the same time. I wouldn't even say that Rose is way better than Akira (she is better, but probably not that much) but having buttons with reach no matter how shitty the frame data is is just so much better for my preferred playstyle. I pulled a straight UNO reverse card on all those guys that kept running over my Akira. The Soul Bind buffs are very noticeable. Next stop will be ditching Satellite for the cards so that I can more actively build V-Gauge. 
 
Took me forever but it's cool to finally have a character I feel comfortable with and who also doesn't put me to sleep when playing (otherwise Falke would have been it but zzzzzzzzzzzzz....).

I'm basically going to get the game on whatever platform the most of you do. That way I know I'll have people to play with. Since crosspplay has yet to be confirmed and rollback isn't a guarantee that the netcode will be good.

I don't play Anji but he's waayyy more fun to fight against now. Happy for all the Anji players out there.

Apparently rollback netcode costs you starting roster slots. Definitely worth it in the long run though. They can easily fill the game out with DLC (not like they weren't going to anyways) and better to be able to play it way more reliably. Plus with them implementing rollback here it will theoretically carry forward with KOF (good for the franchise) and hopefully they'll consider it for other properties.

Yeah, that’s about it haha. I was also trying to find out some easy BNBs and oki off them. Should be good enough to go 0-2 with lol

It definitely is legit mental work trying to learn a new character or re-learn a bunch of shit you forgot (I gotta do this for Strive sometime soon here) so it's not just you. Especially after a good couple of months off. 
 
When in doubt, EX Kunai! If you're out of meter....uh.....6HK? All I know about Ibuki I learned fighting Golds like 2 years ago.

Lol, That’s normally my mentality, but I needed to check her combos, as wel as just get the feel for combos again. Honestly, it’s  been two months since I touched my Hitbox.

One thing I forgot was how absolutely tired learning a new character makes me. I labbed Ibuki for 40 minutes and I am exhausted… I am too stupid for fighting games lol
