    That's awesome
If you have way to contact him only advice i can offer to improve already great work is maybe to reconsider whole characters sizes

Dudley was definitely too small (watch him next to Ryu), Abel may be slighty too big... even if in latter case it's not by that much margin

But tbh that's something could be said to SFV Capcom itself too, like Necalli being too small or Alex being too big or Abigail being nonsense

Even SF6 have some problems, maybe not with heights but with proportions for sure

I will never be against Abel's return, dude is SF Fedor and Fedor is legend

But yeah with Manon in is it's not happening lol

The Saturn is a perfect encapsulation of Sega as a company. It symbolizes it's mismanagenent perfectly as well as highlights the talent of it's development teams to make quality software in sprite of it. Sega was one of the pioneers of 3D gaming. Despite having numerous 3D arcade hits. They didn't build the Saturn with 3D in mind at all initially. It was only when they got wind of the PS1 did they altered course. It's why the Saturn is so complicated of an architecture. 2 CPUs, 1 Co-Processor, 2 GPUs, 2 Sound Chips, and another chip just for the CD-ROM. If Sega of Japan had just swallowed their undeserved pride and listened to Sega of America more specifically Tom Kalinske, they'd probably still be in the hardware business....but that's whole other post in and of itself.

@Sonero If a new game dropped that played just like an older game, warts and all, these very same players would lose their minds. I see the stuff they complain about now. Hell, I've see the Chun Li complaints in SFIV and SFV. You think if a game dropped with 3S Chun today they'd be estatic? They capping man. To keep it 100, the FGC talks out of both sides of their mouths on this type of stuff. I think about the thousands of hours me and the people at my local arcade logged on SF3:NG and SF3 3S. I get online when it finally becomes a thing and find out about tons of shit that NONE of us new about. People learn games so quickly now. Tech doesn't stay hidden. Most of the "hidden" tech was less about people hiding it and more about people being segemented in different regions with different play styles and just not picking up on it.

I think about how back in the day, a player from out town would come through and blow us all up because they were doing shit we knew nothing about. Conversely I remember going to college and cooking people on Second Impact and I was maybe the 3rd best player at my arcade at home. No one used Sean at arcade near my college. I could get away with shit I'd get blown up for back home. It was just a different time.

What I'm saying is that a lot of "old heads" don't want to talk about how they took advantage of system things that were that way to make life easier for players. Increased throw invul frame is a direct contrast to SF2 where you could get dunked at times. Its dishonest to say the system is easier now when being able to fully wake up with hella defensive protection is something you can do in 3S.

There are things that are strong to the point of being scrubby in older games. Like bro, how much out playing is 3S Ken really doing? The guy has the best offense, best confirms from multiple buttons etc. Chun is even wilder. You think dudes are carried because the second half of the cast is strong than before? Chun beats 15 characters for free with 2 buttons: cr.mk and st.hp.

"Oh no modern games are so baby shit". Yeah, totally. The thing about MvC3 that made it baby shit was that the best zoner in the game couldn't do a full screen projectile on his incoming opponent, disable their ability to block by doing it and then ToD them from full screen. There's system stuff that sucked flaming ass in older games. People exploited it. It made the game harder for reasons that were, if we're being honest, actually bad.

I love these old games but they have flaws. Some of them were from design mechanics that didn't work as intended, other are glitches, etc. The way people talk about games in the FGC lacks so much nuance. There's too much of people talking about both sides of their mouth when it comes to system and design stuff.

Watching the many Fatal Fury gameplay impressions has me excited.

But what I'm most looking forward to is seeing if Kain's words to Rock at the end of Garou ("What if I told you your mother was still alive?") end up being legit.

While I agree that too many shotos limits design space, I don’t know that I agree Ryu needs even more moves. I’m not opposed to it, but he’s gained a lot of sauce going from SF4 to SF6 yet it doesn’t necessarily seem to directly correlate with him getting better.

Shave (gonna make up numbers) 10 frames off his fireball and up the damage on DP like 50% and go from there. Anything else is overthinking it.

It's not grandstanding, you are right. Teaching people that everything is okay and that basically nothing should be shamed is crazy. I see that "body positivity" (fat) influencers dropping dead because telling a fat person that they are fat is "fat shaming". No it's the truth. I need to lose some weight. If someone says I'm fat. They aren't shaming me, they are telling the truth. Hopefully I can get my shit together by summer.

I remember seeing Andre at Youmacon in Detroit shortly after he pleaded guilty to credit card fraud. Everyone kind of couldn't believe he would show up but then I made the realization that we were in the presence of someone who doesn't give a fuck what people think about him. He doesn't have remorse. There are no second chances because I don't think he understands the gravity of his actions and simply doesn't care.

How can you trust someone like that? I don't think you can. It's unsettling.

Jamie's drink levels reset every round and Manon's don't. You can combo into medals and land command grabs that give medals while getting stronger for doing so.

I'm legitimately surprised that in 2024 year of our lord, a super like that made it into an SF game. We already know how its going to play. Just like any time you have a move that you can use as a fireball meaty.

Anyways blame the people who hype up Third Strike.

Parry in SF6 is still leagues better than dealing with 3S parry. The world isn't quite ready for people jumping at you and air parrying your anti air. If this was 3S, JP would jump at you, you'd do something dumb like try to DP it, he'd parry it, have time to do a J.HK after parry, hit you and land to do a ToD.

Remember Kids: Alex is a cuck and 3S is actually ass. 😂

I mocked up some USPS Priority Mail Hitbox's to see if I like the 6gawd layout.

I think I am going to go with the 24mm layout.  The way my hand rests and have access to all 8 buttons without having to move my hand at all seems like it will make reacting to DI's and stuff ever so slightly quicker, which can be the difference between eating a DI or not in this game.

The 30mm layout feels good too, but I either have to stretch my pink to hit the right button or my thumb to get the right thumb button.

I am just so used to 30mm buttons for attack but the 24mm version of this just fits like a glove.  I just wish I had some spare guts so I could wire this up.  I don't feel like gutting my main stick right now just to play with this layout.

I don't think I'm tired of SF6, but I haven't been playing much of it over the past few months. I sorta just come and go.  I've actually been playing a lot more single-player stuff over the past few months.

I stopped playing SFV early on as well, only to return. I still gotta get back into World Tour Mode.
