  1. yeah, it's a shame that despite sidescrolling action still being a popular thing in gaming... there is no modern/recent X-men game like that I'm aware of. All that comes to mind at the moment is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 which of course is more of a general Marvel game (incredible roster of characters, btw; an obvious must-have for any fan that has Switch... funny how that game imo easily shits all over that recent "Avengers" game on the bigger systems; it's not even close), and it's not a 2d sidescroller type of thing.
  2. All these years later it's still one of my favorite moments in the Bleach anime... Yammamoto just slightly flexing his crazy spiritual pressure/power to immediately shut down Nanao before she could even attempt a Kido spell.... She was instantly debilitated and couldn't even remain standing....and of course this is just a small sampling of how completely busted the upper ranks of the Bleach characters are.
  3. Oh yeah---BG3--- one moment of disappointment about last night's battle to get into the city area... there's this big robot thing called "Steel Watch", armed with a giant great-sword.... naturally I was thinking how cool would that be if you could steal it, if not when you kill this thing then by making him drop the weapon... so I casted "Command: Drop"....and sure enough----the sword was dropped.... annnnd then when trying to loot it you get this message that it's "too heavy" to pick up or put in inventory. (the weight is something like "100", way more than any other items you normally pick up) If you have enough points in Strength, actually you can at least get it into inventory apparently....BUT it sadly cannot be wielded like any other weapon you can acquire. There was some glitchy way people were doing it months ago but sadly that was patched out of the game. 😞 I would've left it in there... and perhaps you just need a character with ridiculous strength levels to wield it. Another cool little moment from yesterday... found a newly-turned mindflayer near the city, in a secluded area... it was alone and still weak since it had *just* completed transformation from being previously human (very noticeable in terms of stats too; all his numbers were pitifully low)...he hadn't even found a victim to eat the brains of yet.... haha of course we killed the bastard. You can get an illithid powerup from him as well so that was cool. He had no chance...I don't think he even got an opportunity to attack; Astarion got to sneaky snipe shot on him... Shadowheart hit with Guiding Bolt, then I finished it with that juicy Eldritch Blast.
  4. Baldur's Gate antics--- so... that was a tough battle but I made it through... heading into the main city entrance, this bitch and a large "construct"/robotic guard thing tried to arrest us....oh yes... they would pay dearly for that. This was also a great opportunity to try out another new power I got recently thanks to "Emperor"....that + a "potion of speed" I had was insane results for damage output. ...after all that, some journalist bitch tried to cause trouble because she saw me looting one of their corpses... ok well you get added to the body count as well then....she got her silly ass one-shotted... only 1 exp for that little kill but it was satisfying all the same. Journalist, lady... there's your "exclusive scoop"... you bleeding out on the street with the other victims.
  5. Well, I'm kind of hoping Capcom doesn't cave to whatever pressure may come their way from the fans about the "Dragonsplague" issue in Dragon's Dogma... it sounds like an interesting concept to me....and yeah I'm regretting that I watched a video about it. I imagine that could've been a cool surprise. ...but yeah, we have all seen how sometimes a company will cave to pressure if the fanbase whines about something being a bit too harsh/difficult on the player. I remember being terribly disappointed that Bethesda changed and "fixed" the random vampire attacks on town areas in Skyrim all those years ago (basically; people didn't like it because this of course meant various npcs [especially vendors and some side-quest related people if I recall] could end up permanently dead...sometimes without you even being there to try and intervene)... it was frustrating as it seemed like I was the only Skyrim fan thinking that idea was pretty damn awesome.... I loved it--- that looming threat of them being out there, capable of striking anyone, anywhere.... no one's safe. ...also reminds me; I saw vids showing that monsters in Dragon's Dogma 2 can actually follow you into the town areas 😆 Hell yeah, now that's the good stuff. More rpgs need to roll like that. Nobody is safe....heh, you thought going back to town made things ok?
  6. Legendary pawgy Claire G. has posted again today
  7. Baldur's Gate.... haha, so there's a circus... most unfortunate error in judgement that they allowed my warlock and his bloodthirsty crew of murder-hobos in there. They actually bought the lie when I promised to not cause trouble 🤣 There's what looks like a cross-dressing necromancer person with a cool magic "staff of hollows" I think it's called... we casted a cloud of darkness on her and the dancing skeletons while Astarion ran over to the tent area to lockpick the treasure chest she had... then figured what the hell and went on to kill them with a fireball into the darkness...Minthara got the finisher hit on that bitch and then secured the weapon. There was some dwarf that ran over trying to help so we killed him too. Surprisingly this didn't cause too much of a noticeable scene so we got away with it. ...shortly after that there's an area with a caged displacer beast... I tried picking the lock to set him free but of course that didn't go over well... I should cast invisibility first then...
  8. Baldur's Gate---quite unfortunate there's only 4 characters to a party... I want to get Gale back into the crew, but it's a tough call having to give up one of the others: Astarion, Shadowheart and Minthara are just too good/useful to leave any of them back at camp....and their stories are interesting. *I was going to leave it there with finishing Act 2....but so much cool shit just happened; major revelation; part of it I already figured... an "Emperor" showed up and I made a choice of who to side with in a battle that was going on. ...and this latest battle was pure highlight reel stuff. Our enemies stood no chance, really...even though they had some interesting/cool attacks. So many layers...so much going on to think about and reflect on.... This game, man.... words can't really do the experience justice. whoahhhh and I didn't think this big choice would happen just yet but here we go....
  9. and finally--- I've been trying over and over to beat the act 2 boss on Baldur's Gate 3 for some crazy amount of time today.... Astarion came through with such a critical big hit for 49 damage out of nowhere on a sneak arrow shot...that was an unexpected big deal to help turn the tide on what was seeming like yet another hopeless attempt. Minthara was down, unfortunately...and she's one of the heavy hitters. I had to use that new *spoiler* Dark Urge-specific power, so with that I was able to get some big hits as well and that finally sealed his fate. This played out like such an epic grand finale battle in a show, with some people dead or critically injured... our main protagonist having to rely on his latest upgraded power he recently acquired to finish the fight in a big way. The characters even look bloody and bruised now, as they stand over their defeated foes on the battlefield. One of them had an illithid worm in there so that's another little upgrade power for us to collect; I let Minthara have this one. My warlock has 7 or 8 of those unlocked at this point.
  10. Ok, I finished the Stellar Blade demo... yeahhhhh baby this is good stuff. It's as good as bought day 1, easy. There's a cool first boss encounter to end the demo; when you kill that thing it immediately goes into a flashy montage of the action to be expected here. I'm liking the parrying and "blink" ability a little more as my defensive option... the "blink" is a thing of beauty. On the TnA front---imagine what would be possible if/when this hits PC and the modders work their magic.
  11. oh yeah I'm looking to download the Stellar Blade demo very soon today; from what I've seen on livestreams it looks like fun in addition to having the obvious eye-candy appeal. There's a parry system in there so I'm already wondering what the limits are on that, if any.
  12. ha, so I just saw a pawn by the name of HOE#1 in Dragon's Dogma 2... nice; yeah I had her in the crew for a while. I unlocked Sorcerer vocation a few moments ago...and more spells so now I'm finally cookin' with the real power here. One slight annoyance is the graphical texture stuff disappears sometimes... there's been several occasions where the "dirt" on my character that helps him look nice and shit-stained.... is gone....and that sadly leaves him just looking like a regular dude. At least the strange green eyes are there to make him look non-human. I should have also made him as dark-skinned as possible.
  13. Cyael is playing Stellar Blade now... of course he picked the Skin Suit asap
  14. And so... Dookor and his crew arrived in the first major city area where you meet that dude that looks like Idris Elba...... I fought the large ogre by the waterfall... it's a bit unfortunate that I already know about using the explosive barrel by the rocks since so many videos showed that off...after all that water hit him it didn't take long to kill the rest of his hp. I have the Quickspell ability (a must-have asap) and now the lightning spell. When you start off, you only have that 1 fire spell and the basic non-element magical shot.
  15. So, in the Gamestop the other day... I noticed a Mindflayer figure... but immediately the frustration hit. It was one of those accursed Funkopops though. 😞 They're just so ugly. I will always prefer a toy figure to be as accurate as possible to what the character normally looks like. Funkos in particular all have that same ugly style, and I've hated it since day 1. It always looks terrible. Dragon's Dogma---I finished making my character and the pawn.... I made the pawn a cute pale-skinned redhead type with niiiiice thick legs and big tits.... the pawgy-pawn of dreams. I probably should have gone with a cuter face but it's decent enough. I made her an archer; it definitely was to be either that or a fighter since my main character right now is a mage. *I should've based it on some famous hot girl... back in part 1 I remember making my pawn based on Nina Dobrev as Elena/Katherine from Vampire Diaries. *just thought...that would be really cool if they had an "illithid/mindflayer" type of head in customization. Y'know....why stop at letting us be a race of cat people in addition to the normal human types? They should've gone wild with that more... let me be an illithid, or a lizard person, demons, angels, djinn, orcs and goblin folks.... if I was running the show here you'd have basically everything on the table as an option for your character.
  16. Ohhhh yeah I remember those days clearly, when certain "geeky" things were not considered "cool" and accepted like they are in recent/modern times. At best it would be a case of most of the other dudes at school just not caring what you're into if it's not basketball, football, "gettin bitches" or drinking and smoking weed. ...so 1 negative isn't just the fear of being roasted....it was also how lonely the experience would be, if you're the 1 dude in the whole school that does things like draw dragons and other fantasy world creatures and comic characters instead of knowing which teams made it to the Final Four or who won last night on Monday Night Football. The real roast sessions were about actually being the classic definition of a "nerd" though--- and I'm sure that hasn't really changed so much even now. If you're one of the smart kids then you were seen as "Urkel" and thus forever labeled as a "lame". My dad always told me that it was this way even back then when he was a kid (actual baby boomer gen there)....that if you were a nerdy kid, you definitely had to be somewhat "in the closet" about that shit or else.... play dumb just to fit in and be cool, as pathetic as that sounds. oh yeahhh today is the day---Reforge Gaming just went live with the Stellar Blade demo now: well... the demo is only 16 gigs apparently....ha, I actually have room then...
  17. That shit-show from SBI and now the Black Girl Gamers group; it's the story that just keeps on giving...constant entertainment on a near daily basis at this point. I love it. And so the new adventures begin... Dragon's Dogma 2. I've already spent close to an hour just trying to decide what kind of character I want to make here... something silly or something more serious in tone... I started out making a mage (eventual sorcerer) and that's been the only thing I was 100% certain about making... Thief would be my 2nd choice later. There's a "dirt" option to make your character have a dirty appearance, which of course is perfect for any of my "shit creature" ideas....I'm looking at a wizard with FULL dirt coverage and tempted to make "Dooko the Foul" my starting character already. Currently he has green eyes but as I type this....it would make more sense to lean into the concept even further and make the eyes yellow (representing the corn kernels)....and even there I have trouble settling on a name; for a moment I was thinking of just naming the dude "STAIN"; I laughed for a while with that but I still like the name "Dooko" (or "Dookor", "Dookai", Turdak, etc.) for such a character. These decisions are always a tough call. ...it's also a mix of my original intention to try and make something like the vampire from Salem's Lot though (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Barlow); currently he looks a bit similar to that....the monstrous movie version, of course. (that's actually a cooler design than Stephen King's original concept in the book, imo...sometimes I prefer vampires look like obvious monsters) ...but yeah I think "Dooko" is going to be my first character here...
  18. of course Lead Attorney is going to cover it; he's live now..... but more importantly he has his usual co-host on, that SMOKESHOW honey that goes by "AV to the 7th Power"
  19. Papa John's is really onto something nice with that stuffed-crust garlic pizza they've advertised lately... I got one today and it was pretty damn good to me. That terrible song I mentioned before... the name still eludes me, and I've still been trying to search it. One thing making it tough is that none of the lyrics are easy for me to discern what's being said...and of course I am not familiar with whoever the trash-tier singers/rappers are....it has amazed me for months that this song is apparently popular/successful enough to get a LOT of airplay on the radio for the past year or so.....this is yet another one of those things where I just have to keep reminding myself that most people in the world have incredibly bad/dumb taste in various things, imo. There's been plenty of examples---things like the "Pet Rock" craze, the "jheri curl" and mullet hairstyles, horribly designed sneakers being popular and expensive, ugly vehicles like the PT Cruiser and El Camino being popular, BONNETS being popular, etc. etc. *edit---yep, this is from someone who enjoyed a Papa John's pizza today... it is what it is brah. Anyway, yeah I'll keep searching... I MUST find out more on that awful song.... every time I pull up that radio station online so I can see the song titles...OF COURSE they never play that bullshit then....of course.
  20. Hell yeah, ^we all knew that Kermit was a certified member of the PAWG Patrol. ...and oh yes my 4-day weekend starts now....not sure if I want to start into Dragon's Dogma 2 just yet or not though, because I'm so hooked on Baldur's Gate at the moment.
  21. There is some RnB song they've been playing for the past year or so that is so unbelievably bad.... and it's annoying me that I can't track down the title/info of this bullshit...since part of the problem with the song is that I can't clearly hear whatever it is they're saying...so all I know on it is how awful it sounds....that it starts off with this woman singing a very simple melody (like maybe a half note then a trio of notes down from that, then a higher half note or so and another triplet down...repeated) over and over as the beat eventually comes in....but that shit sounds raggedy and stank. She sounds like a wounded animal just howling as it dies slowly from being run over by a car. Each time I keep imagining how it would've played if they performed this on American Idol...and how you'd see Randy Jackson holding up the papers over his face to hide his laughter, as Simon Cowell says something brutally honest, Paula tries to be nice and Randy wraps things up with his usual "It's a no for me, dawg." They'd get laughed out of the audition for sure. It's so terrible I had to bring it up with someone just to talk about it... I mentioned it to mom on a recent conversation and the funny thing to me is that she knew right away what I was talking about, though neither of us know the title, lyrics or whoever is singing this trash. I found the website though so I may find out soon enough via the live-stream. Yes, the song is so horrible that it fascinates me, and I feel compelled to find out more information about it. *I look forward to seeing how a certain Ultra Contrarian friend I know will try his best to defend the shyte. *currently they're playing Keith Sweat "Right and a Wrong Way" though----that's a real, actual quality slow jam right there. https://www.92qnashville.com/
  22. That also reminds me--- back in the day I did have an unreasonable bias/hatred of the character Yajirobe.... something about him just made me want to see any other character beat his ass. ...it would be nice if Bleach finally got this level of attention and production quality in a game these days, especially with what the latest saga to be animated has brought to the table now....but there's probably little to no hope of that. There's some Bleach mobile game that's been a thing for years now but that's the problem, imo... it's a goddamn mobile game. I want something major and made for real gaming systems.
  23. That upcoming Dragonball game looks great, and yeah I'm most likely getting it asap.... but I am already wondering if they'll leave Zarbon out yet again. For some strange reason, it's like the various developers of DBZ games over the years have some weird little vendetta about that character, as he's always left out or just not represented properly. I don't even recall him being in much of anything other than that first Budokai game....where they put him in the game with NO CAPE.....yeah that shit still irks me whenever I think about it, all these years later....like imagine putting Batman or Superman in a game...with no cape....get the hell out of here with that. It wouldn't surprise me if they added silly fatass Yajirobe before even considering Zarbon (or Dodorria). It is a good thing that the DB games eventually got good with actual competent developers working on things..... some of the older ones I remember were either just "ok"/half-ass at best or looked like straight up trash I'd rather not play. I remember Budokai being very odd in terms of gameplay...and I was really just tolerating it because it was the Dragonball IP in videogame form.
  24. More of the foolishness that helps shine a spotlight on how this country (and certain places in particular like the state of NY) is forever a clown show, with an alarming % of scumbags always ready to take advantage of anything they can without hesitation. It seriously is one of the dumbest, most absurd concepts I've ever heard of in life. Hopefully this finally sparks the vigilante brand of justice that USA actually needs since the actual justice system is the equivalent of a tv practical joke. People need to find out the hard way. haha that bitch on the right actually looks like one of my old friends from grade school...like she could be his sister... a guy who turned out to NOT be a real friend anyway, because oh yeah---he was a thieving piece of shit too, like you'd expect of people from "M-town"....he and his cousin were really just coming over to steal whatever toys they could get when I wasn't looking..... of course neither of them made it to the point of graduating high school, btw... the cousin had upgraded to car theft by the time he was around 7th or 8th grade and ended up in prison, fortunately. Yes, this is one of those things that taught me early on in life to just never fully trust anyone.... because most human beings are scum..... trash that exists only to be a parasite and do whatever they can to take advantage, con and steal/leech their way through life on other people's money and effort.
