  1. haha, that's why those "Doo-Dubai" jokes/mentions never stop being hilarious to me. It does make me wonder--- what's the "right price" for the average person... I think most people would indeed agree to be shit on for a certain amount of money... This reminds me; I should make a character named Doo-Dubai, or Poobai, perhaps...
  2. Ohhh look at this gorgeous Collector's Edition... I must have this:
  3. ...a shame; I would've been interested in a single-player Titanfall thing. I didn't watch that vid yet but I can already guess why--- the big suits in the industry would naturally see multiplayer (especially online-only, of course) games as the bigger money-making potential for obvious reasons... so these days, a single-player game is probably a hard sell in terms of the business side of things, I bet. They want everything online-only, multiplayer/co-op focus with tons of microtransaction/DLC potential.
  4. I'm sure other women would roll their eyes and probably call her a "pick-me" or a grifter... but yeah there should be more women speaking out to point out the stupidity of what's going on in modern times. ...and again, I love how it all has played out though: Call every dude (who isn't attractive to them) "creepy" or "incel" for literally anything he does or says. Wonders why most dudes have stopped approaching or even interacting with women in recent years.
  5. Surprising they didn't go for some "stunt casting" there; I was ready to laugh... --- according to a few sources I just looked up it appears Shannon Berry will be playing Big Swole- I mean... "Abby" https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7318700/ On another note---I finally got the original Resident Evil 4 right on time before the sale ended; it was 10 bucks and I had some eShop points that made it even cheaper....so I can finally see what all the hype is about on that one, after all these years. Previously, I had only played up to RE3, then played one that was on PS3 (Operation Raccoon City, I think it was called----it was forgettable) and then just recently, part 8.
  6. I would like to see Near Dark just redone with today's production values and budget....but that comes with the curse of today's "questionable" choices where they have to load up things with bait for cheap publicity and/or apparent shielding from criticism (e.g.--- "hey hey look at how we made this character black and the other one a trans person! Isn't that cool! You better like it OR ELSE..")....same reason I'm glad that Lost Boys reboot as a tv series never made it out of development hell....that was going to be a CW show so one can only imagine what an absolute disaster that would've been. ...a shame what happened with CW though... that network at least gave me Supernatural, Vampire and The Originals, The Flash (early seasons), Smallville...and Roswell, though I never watched much of the newer Roswell. They also had the reboots of 90210 and Melrose Place which was loaded with fine ass as per usual.... so that network wasn't a total shitshow....there were good things on it over the years. Oh yeah, The 100 was good at least at first....great concept on the front end but I gradually lost interest.
  7. Another thing the pandemic stole from us--- the "snow/ice day". It's a sheet of ice out there at the moment... and in the pre-pandemic era, that would've surely meant a free "admin" day off for me....or a "snow day" off school when I was a kid. Now it's just "...those who can work from home should do so.", all the damn time....the winter weather is no longer an excuse to sit at home enjoying a little vacation. ...but now, some horror movies and shows that are tough or impossible to find: It's the reason why physical media should always be an option. An "all streaming" future that some people are hyped about is just foolishness. Near Dark is the one that irks me---your only shot is to pay a ridiculous price for a dvd on Amazon *if* they have it in stock in the correct region format(PAL vs. NTSC). Back in the good ol' days you could just go anywhere and buy it easily. *I didn't know Fright Night 2 (original) was that rare... I only saw it once way back when it was a new movie. Bells is another one--- but then again that's not necessarily a result of the modern "streaming; only new stuff allowed" stupid era... Bells was some obscure shit even back in the 80s. In all these years, I've only known of 1 other person that has also seen it, and that was a random other dude on the old SRK. No one has ever known what movie I'm referring to with that one. The concept--- a crazy dude has some tech that lets him kill people by calling them....so a city is being terrorized by random phone murders---person answers the phone only to hear some bell tones on repeat that increase in volume which makes them go into convulsions and die. This movie also went by an alternate name for some reason but I forgot it. It's probably still on Youtube, actually... I tracked it down a few years ago there, but sadly the computer I had it saved on died so I'd have to find and save that again. This is also one of the only movies to ever give me nightmares when I was a kid... the final scene shows the guy getting electrocuted by this big machine he had setup to make the calls and sounds...and it fell on him, and the last shot you see is of his face when the eyes missing. (**edit---YEP, I found that same link... I guess it stays up since whoever owns the copyright doesn't care? Just search "Bells movie" on youtube---- the alternate name is "Murder By Phone" and it's from 1982)
  8. I think they're just waiting until after the movie is out to "officially" drop Ezra and move on with whoever the new Flash is. There's "Creature Commandos" that has a cool looking art style so far, so that piqued my interest. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/dc-studios-announces-creature-commandos-series-with-james-gunn-writing/1100-6511023/ https://screenrant.com/creature-commandos-dcu-show-team-explained/ Oh yeah this sounds like my kind of thing so far^
  9. Today's Debbie Downer commentary--- Imagine there's an asteroid headed for the planet right now, and it is large enough to mean complete annihilation of our species, and probably most other land-based creatures in the world. I'd bet if scientists knew about it, this would be forbidden to inform the general public of such a thing (with some who try to expose it being "silenced" by the CIA, perhaps; they'd be like other times in history where people mysteriously went missing or "committed suicide".)....to at least maintain some kind of peace/order for as long as possible in what is set to be the final days of human civilization. There's no telling what kind of chaos breaks out across the world if we all knew that our species only has maybe a few days left to exist, and nothing can be done to fix the situation. They'd probably go to great lengths to make sure the general public doesn't know what's about to happen. My ideal extinction scenario would still involve a hostile alien species that makes their presence known... at least then the grand finale would be cool and interesting, instead of *just* being some depressing shit.
  10. Oh yeah a new one just popped up to keep tabs on.... Pepper...I see she just made this channel last month...
  11. So, randomly browsing some games on the eShop, I'm just now finding out there's a.... Fashion Police Squad game?! 🤣 I'm intrigued... I might need to get this. *sheeeeit, if I were in charge of a game like this... there would definitely be a mission for the Squad to take care of the Bonnet situation. It is a blight upon this world that must be stopped, no matter the cost.
  12. Yeah, this seems like a better, more easy-going world, imo. It's amusing that they assume that the majority of men who are absolutely "invisible" to women would hate or be annoyed with a reversal where they suddenly get the attention the average, even "6 out of 10" woman gets on a daily basis for the entire prime years of her life. "Oh no, I'm too attractive, and they ask me to smile more... oh dear what a horrible, awful curse! Whatever will I do?!" 😆 Ridiculous. ...also funny that recently a lot have been lamenting about "...what happened? Why don't men approach us anymore? What's going on?" 🤣 Ohhhhh they are truly a non-stop source of entertainment in so many ways. I love it...in the usual "laugh at the incredible, Twilight Zone-caliber absurdity" way. **well, there's 1 bowl of cereal wasted just now... I forgot that my current milk carton was past the expiration date and went to make cereal for a quick breakfast snack... then noticed *chunks* of milk pouring out 😆
  13. whoah I didn't even know Annie W. was sick. Most old SRK "24" crew remembered her from that show (that thread following the show was almost as entertaining as the show itself), and of course I remember her also as Lily Salvatore; mother of Damon and Stefan in Vampire Diaries.
  14. Ok yeah Brightburn was awesome... I'll have to check out some reviews again because I vaguely recall some people didn't like it, which is odd to me. The only thing is that it's somewhat predictable because of what the concept is---> "The story of a young Kal El and the Kents, BUT this is a horror film." Really cool moment--- one scene involves a person getting a glass shard stuck in one of their eyes... and they make sure you get a good look at this. Sheeeitttt, you know I can respect that; I love it... what other mainstream movies these days even have the balls to do a scene like that anymore? Oh yeahhhh, this movie is like "....we're definitely going to earn that R rating here..." I really just have one nitpick here... spoiler for a somewhat old movie, I suppose... I remember the trailer for this movie was cool too: (*edited...trailer #2 shows too much, imo... this is the first one...)
  15. Bit by bit my physical media collection continues to improve... today I found Brightburn on blu-ray, finally. It's long gone from regular stores like Target or even Best Buy, so I got it at my usual place that specializes in having a giant amount of old blu-rays, dvds and 4Ks. I've picked up the pace in acquiring certain things I want or are at least mildly interested in since the tv/movie production industry seems to be intent on making streaming services the only choice in the near future (*this is a guarantee at this point, since most people don't seem to care about actually owning copies of things anymore....which is bizarre to me. I am not sure why the average person doesn't seem to think this through that much... that they are seemingly ok with a future of owning nothing, where movies and shows that are older than 5 to 10 years are just completely gone forever. That's fucking stupid; the very idea irks the hell out of me.) I should round up all the Chicago PD seasons as well soon... since shows like that will quickly become a thing of the past for certain obvious reasons. (the recent case of Memphis police brutality has it fresh on everyone's minds at the moment) It won't surprise me if there's just no such thing as a show like that in the future.... which is a shame, imo... I prefer that entertainment have absolutely zero limitations on what can be produced. (**then again; the legendary series "24" actually still premiered shortly after 09/11/01 attacks happened, which was surprising...) They also had a 4k disc of the Tom Cruise "Mummy" movie; I probably should've gotten it asap....because that's another movie that is recent but rare at this point. Despite some nitpicks, overall I enjoyed that one when I saw it in the theater.
  16. Ohoooo a look at the character creation now in Hogwarts... (**and the hairstyles actually look good, unlike most games!) ...good thing I happen to have one of the current-gen systems, since it doesn't hit XB1/PS4 until much later (and there's a Switch version planned for July...but you can imagine how scaled back the visuals will be on there) BUT I'm also thinking it would be cool to have it on Steam Deck so it can be portable without such a major hit to the visuals like I'd expect will happen on Switch.
  17. Oh yeah that's the other big story popping off today---- this guy was dumb enough to just admit everything when being questioned later... he intended to take Nancy Pelosi hostage, and stated if she told the truth I guess she would be fine, but if she lied he intended to break her legs....so she was lucky to not be home at the time, apparently.
  18. So I wonder if they will release the bodycam footage of the Memphis officers tonight... seems like that would be a dumb idea to release such footage close to night time which is prime time for some riot action.... of course I always have only the lowest expectations of anything pertaining to that "city". The parents are calling for peaceful protests but any hope of that seems like a joke to me. A lot of people aren't that far off from being savage animals... there's a certain primal aspect of human nature that is just waiting for an excuse to lash out and go wild. If the officers were white guys I'd have absolutely no doubt what's about to happen... it would be 100% guaranteed, but there is a slight chance things won't go completely off the deep end (just because they aren't white)... it will be interesting to see the results here, whatever happens.
  19. ha, remember when that guy who was the baby on the Nirvana album cover tried to sue? I think it was 1 or 2 years ago but I think it ultimately got thrown out as everyone had a good laugh at him. Paid Time Off--- such an incredibly great concept... I took today off and it's been great...I went to the early morning gym session and have done nothing but browsed an electronics store and bought a few food items from Target (more of those spinach+goat cheese pizzas), so now it's just youtube and gaming the rest of the day for me...and yet I still get paid for this time. It's so good it's almost like I'm getting away with something. A certain old friend will never know, since he's stuck in some shitty job with no benefits (a low-paying 1099.... aka a bad deal, imo...amazing that the guy just kinda settled on that BS for apparently the rest of his life) ...but yeah; I should've taken Thursday off too and made it a 4-day weekend. I'm already looking forward to the next bit of time to take off; I have a ton of leave time saved up.
  20. heh, sheeeeitt, I'm in the same boat. As a kid I just bought a few shirts like that because the art and subject matter (Hellish imagery, demons, skeletons, horrific fantasy creatures, etc) looked cool...I had a Slayer shirt and had never heard even 1 song by them.
  21. ah yes... so she's just as cute in real life as the character is; and she has THAT accent.... bonus points right there. On the D3 front... new PTR notes!
  22. Fortunately, none at my gym have been an "issue" like the girl in that video...then again the one where I go typically has very small classes; it's often just me and 7 or so other people in there on a "crowded" day.... most of the regulars are also a bit older so they likely have a more reasonable mindset as well anyway. I definitely enjoy the eye-candy. There was some really hot ones that showed up this past Fall, but I only saw them the one time... one girl looked like a more attractive version of Julia Stiles, and the other one was a bit like Torrie Wilson, but they never came back, unless they just go at other times.
  23. That new video about Redfall sparked so much hype... with one of the reveals being 2 new characters to be added as later dlc... I'm already wondering what their powers and skill-tree will be. That's usually the most interesting dlc addition to me... even when it's just 1 new character at a time being added....though of course I prefer the good ol' days when new characters were just "unlocks" for accomplishing things in the game, like "beat the game on Insane difficulty to unlock _____." This reminds me of another disappointing thing with Borderlands 3... for some silly ass reason they chose to just not add any new characters with that one. With the expectation being in place from part 2 and Pre-Sequel, that was just guaranteed to disappoint the fans. I often wonder if it was due to a limitation of budget/time... or plain old laziness. Probably it was a bit of both, but that's pathetic if it really is more due to laziness and apathy.
  24. Oh yeah, I was waiting on A&P taking a shot at this latest ridiculousness: Oh no, oh dear, someone finds her attractive enough to stare and try a half-ass approach, oh how dreadful....what ever will we do about these tragic situations?! She's an "underage 21 year old", btw 🤣
  25. This was the last time SNL was hilarious to me... the Debbie Downer character was gold... I cracked up non-stop when I saw this character: In her debut here, you can see the others in the scene are having trouble keeping it together *side bonus---this was about 2004; as you can see, it's back when Lindsay Lohan was still seriously hot
