  1. It would be funny to see how far the ratings or whatever they call it for streaming goes way down in a Witcher season without Henry, especially with the other shit being exposed (people running the show that apparently don't like the IP...."oh how surprising.", btw.) I never got caught up with it though; I watched the first episode of season 1 and enjoyed it, but nothing beyond that... another case of there just being too many other shows and games taking up my time in that moment. ...and yeah I'm already wondering exactly how Netflix will ruin My Hero Academia. Usually I'd prefer anime/cartoons to just stay in animated form... I don't really look forward to live-action versions...certainly not with any high expectations of quality. Visually-speaking, it's hard for live-action to ever truly compete with good animation of "cool stuff happening", at least to me.
  2. Ok yeah the bosses in the dlc are on another level... I've been trying to beat this bullshit for most of today....I can get *close* to beating this on the final phase but there's just so many variables of nonsense going on at every possible second, and as per usual in this game... if you make even the smallest mistake you may as well put the controller down because it's over On especially insane thing here is when it shifts the perspective and you're on the side of the screen, then upside down, then on the other side... this + the random nature of when attacks happen in a certain way completely fucks up your orientation of how to just move around....while worrying about falling off the little plane of course, so the area where you can run around is always small. ha, it's like writing about it triggers something----right after this post my next attempt finally beat this bitch. I've been on this battle since lunch hour earlier today. Onward to Mortimer Freeze...time to see what level of Hell this one is.... I'm still playing as Cuphead, btw; I haven't tried the new character yet, though I hear she makes the game easier. (natural double-jump and an auto-parry if I recall...and I think 1 more hp)
  3. The worst final bosses Somehow they managed to forget about Lucien from Fable 2 though. I doubt there will ever be a final boss "encounter" that will be worse than what happens there. It appears they took the "subverted expectations!" route, and the result is the most lame, anticlimactic bullshit anyone has ever seen. If you wait until Lucien does his typical "final boss speech", then Reaver will shoot him....and THAT is it. That's the final battle. An AI companion shoots the bastard once, says the movie 1-liner "ugh, thought he'd never shut up." and Lucien falls over the edge. No surprise comeback in a monstrous final form, no grandiose battle....nothing. The main villain is defeated by a goddamn AI companion character (if the player doesn't attack him first) and you win. Yeah this shit still irks me to this day.
  4. ha, that vid about the guy asking out 100 girls... the acquisition of a date doesn't really mean much, really. In that case, the occasional 1 may say "yes" simply because this is being filmed... besides that, there's no obligation to go further than agreeing to a date anyway... and even worse, some women will agree to a date just for the free stuff/attention.....but of course that is one of those things a lot of people like to pretend the "foodie call" situation isn't a reality, since we like to go through all kinds of mental gymnastics to remove even the slightest bit of blame and negativity from women in general. That initial hurdle of getting a "yes" to a date doesn't mean anything by itself. ^Interesting; I didn't expect that to be quite so old but some search results are going back 3 years... though I'm sure the concept itself goes back much further than that anyway. This has been a delicious daily dose of Debbie Downer commentary.
  5. Kira has a new one...Micro bikinis... ohhhh and look at this gold
  6. So I got back into the legendary Cuphead again---since I got the physical version on Switch now, which comes with the DLC. It took a dozen tries but I just beat the first DLC boss, which is about a 4-stage battle with tons of crazy shit going on. Currently I'm still using that dash ability and the green homing shots.... that way I just really focus on evading things while the shots just home-in, though occasionally I'll switch out the weapon since the green shot is weaker. **ok this next one that looks like a bull in a stagecoach/saloon thing with a lasso is 100000000000 times more difficult that the previous battle; it's hard is hell to even get to the 2nd stage of this fight....it's unfortunately one of those battles where you're flying in the plane; I'm much more comfortable with the battles where Cuphead/Mugman is on foot. *yeah I'm not sure I will ever beat that... this thing has flying small enemies (cactus creatures, I think?) that also shoot something at you...but you also have to watch out when she uses a lasso to pull a big cactus onto the screen, while dodging the black root-beer(?) shots, while dodging an eagle above that flies in from the left side, which also drops a stick of dynamite... which explodes into smaller sticks of dynamite, then the 2nd phase of the fight puts even more shit on the screen for you to dodge, and as per usual in this game... none of the objects can be destroyed aside from the pink ones...so you just have to dodge everything (which comes from every possible direction on screen simultaneously) perfectly with your little 3 hit points.... the 3rd phase seems even more difficult even though it's *less* shit on screen... but things are going so fast you just don't have time to fly around effectively (dodging cans and what looks like slabs of steak that fly around) *while* also damaging the boss. I can dodge that part fairly well, but NOT while getting a hit at the same time so far. *here it is...look at how much shit you have to deal with in this fight 😆 I can't get enough of that old 1930s cartoon aesthetic in this game; it's some of the best design/art direction I've ever seen in a game....it matches up with that style 100% perfectly. edit---ha, annnd she's down. Esther has been defeated. That last run was near perfect; I made it to the last phase of the fight with all my health remaining and had super meter ready to go.
  7. Whatever's going on here it looks like my kind of thing
  8. So this popped up in my recommendations lately and it's killin' me So this dude was doing "10,000 calorie day" challenges for some videos.... 10k in a day?!? (about 5x the recommended daily intake for an adult male btw.) At some point he clearly committed himself to becoming this character at all cost for the views and fame, health be damned. 😆
  9. ohhhh that was so good; I was thinking this Kenpachi fight would last a bit longer. Still, it will be tough for anything to top that earlier fight featuring Old Man Yamma going all out....that was one of the greatest things I've ever seen out of this whole franchise. Cool small visual detail in the flashback scene---notice that when Zaraki realizes the situation and starts subconsciously holding back his full power, one eye is in shadow...so it looks like the eyepatch he would later wear as an adult to suppress his spirit power in order to make fights more "interesting". It's a simple concept we see a lot in shows/manga like this but I love it---the warrior who loves "the battle" so much that they always hold back, sometimes at a subconscious level so it's prolonged and thus more thrilling.
  10. Interesting... with some quick/lazy research online it appears that saying "honesty is the best policy" is accredited to Benjamin Franklin.... I got curious as to who was the goof that originally said or popularized that. It's one of those old cliches I happen to love ripping into on occasion. In today's world, seems to me that only brings you more stress and problems, not less. Honesty is sometimes the best policy. Most of the time it's better to lie to avoid all kinds of unnecessary/negative bullshit in life. It's a shame but that's the reality of the situation I've observed so far in life. One of the things that came to mind recently was that forever-taboo topic of religious beliefs.... especially when it comes to certain "tribes" of the human species. Sometimes it's best to keep one's true opinions to themselves when it seems like damn near 99% of the tribe has the opposite opinion....this is one of many things that annoys me to no end about the human species. There's certain things that will never truly be up for reasonable discussion, and that, along with the ongoing game of "pretend" actually does irk the hell out of me. "Honesty is the best policy".... ha, bitch please... I'd go back in time just to laugh in Ben Franklin's face about that foolishness. There's an odd satisfaction in laughing at (and looking down on) certain old sayings people so desperately want to believe in. "What goes around comes around" is another one that's just straight BS to me. If that were at all true, wouldn't people who are generally assholes throughout life NOT be doing well? Wouldn't "the good guys" typically prevail? Ha, nope. There's a lot of horrible shit that happens to good people... simply because the world is often just a horrible place....no "mysterious ways!" about it... sometimes things are just fucked up and that's really all there is to it.
  11. Yeah, now that I look back on it----most of those "Animality" finishers looked stupid to me...I would've just kept animal shapeshifting to 1 or 2 characters as their thing. Another recent "good eats" find at Target --- Cilantro lime chicken; the brand is Kevin's Natural Foods....here it's 9 or 10 bucks and that shit is SO good. It comes with a "light" chimichurri sauce; like most things I never use the whole packet they have in there.... and of course it's easy enough to cook on a stovetop; put a little cooking oil in the pan then put the chicken pieces in there, cook for a short time on each side then put the sauce on there. (total calories for the whole thing is 480 [3 servings at 160 each]) Glamster channel is showing the 80s Twilight Zone again...unfortunately they skipped the intro this time though *recent 4k acquisition---I happened to see Terminator 2 on 4k at Best Buy the other day; hell yeah that's mine now.
  12. Hell yeah this is the real deal, folks... I'm in on this day 1 Oh yeah---recent physical edition finds; I got the TMNT Cowabunga Collection finally...and Cuphead; both on Switch.
  13. Oh yes... more D4 commentary + footage *Also---I noticed that one of the bonuses of pre-ordering the special editions for Diablo 4 is a few days of early access....hahaha there will be a LOT of people disappointed and pissed off there for sure; it's a near guarantee because we all know what will happen, considering this game suffers from "online-only-itis. Everyone will be trying to log on at exactly the same time... servers will be fried.... = people WON'T be able to play at all....and then wonder why they hell they paid extra money for that in the first place. In the good ol' days with "normal" games, where online-modes were simply a feature instead of being the whole goddamn thing... at least you'd still be able to play offline until they sorted the inevitable server problems out.
  14. There's 1 particular Walmart I know of that is so horrible... I'd love it if they closed that garbage down. I gave up on that particular location a long time ago. That one is always the most raggedy, "unwashed ass" looking/smelling place... and they never have whatever grocery item you're looking for...almost as if they magically know beforehand and make sure it disappears as you're walking in, like "Oh, here he comes----he's on his way in for Tropicana orange juice, Jimmy Dean brand Pork Links and Pepperidge Farm wheat bread....quick, throw all that shit out before he sees it!" This is on top of other nonsense like the self-checkout area only working properly half the time, and even when it's set up to work they just put it in card-only mode most of those times.
  15. I got caught up on the last 2 episodes of Interview with the Vampire... there's 1 scene in episode 7 that is one hell of a vicious bloodbath....right away I think that will rank as a favorite scene of vamps doing their thing. The look of absolute terror on the guests' faces... it was glorious. Our 3 vampiric amigos there had a niiiiice bloody buffet in the house that night. Those people tried to run, of course but nahhhh bruh... there is no escape.
  16. Ohhh, I'm a bit surprised that Campea will cover this behind-the-scenes dirt today Of course it won't be quite as hype and raw as the way other channels cover it but still...
  17. Oh yeah this reminds me; it's one of the reasons I didn't like Liu Kang in part 1....he was the least interesting character to me. His fatality sucked since it just looked like a special move that happens within normal fighting... and in terms of the design, he was just another Bruce Lee clone, which was an annoying, boring trend in fighting games at the time. The roster lets us be cool ninjas that rip heads off and burn people to death, or a thunder god, and a criminal/mercenary type of dude with a half-metal face and glowing red eye that can shoot a laser... OR you can be... this Bruce Lee character in the plain black pants. Johnny Cage was a boring design too but at least he had a "nut punch" move which was funny to see. Liu Kang got so much better in every way in part 2.
  18. Ohhh this is going to be a loaded one for sure... the "snow bunny crisis"? 🤣 Surprisingly they were already asking him about that pic where he was caught at the mall speaking to a white girl; that shocked me they actually brought it up 🤣
  19. ha, I suspected something was up after seeing Geoff's awkward reaction at the end...at that dude he just looked like he was supposed to be there as part of the Elden Ring crew. Also it sounded like he mentioned "Rabbi Bill Clinton".
  20. hahaha they had to hit the music on Kratos there; he was taking way too long. **HADES 2!!!
  21. Oh yeah it's on... annnnd Syd Goodman is on looking unbelievably hot as usual; they should just keep her on screen ALL the time....that girl is outstanding.
  22. ...and now, this gorgeous woman explains to us how bee colonies work...
  23. heh, I was just about to mention it--- surely J. Lawrence had trouble articulating what she wanted to say....unless she really is that dumb to think there was no female-led action film before her. Anyone can refute that just going on short-term memory....actual thorough research not even needed.
