Popular Post misterBee Posted July 5, 2024 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2024 Last week had a day or two where the server was a bit overloaded and the site was running a little sluggish. I operate this place on a pretty small budget and am not always around to monitor, so it would be helpful if people notified me when there are performance issues. If this continues to happen I'll have to consider upgrading the server. Please be sure to report any performance issues by DMing me or posting about it in this thread. If possible, try to note the times you experienced issues/how long they lasted. Sonichuman, AriesWarlock, DangerousJ and 7 others 8 2 Quote
DoctaMario Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 (edited) I'm getting molasses speeds here and there today. Could be on my end since it's intermittent, but could be worth checking into. Edited July 13, 2024 by DoctaMario misterBee 1 Quote
YourFavGrandpa Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 (edited) For our iOS users who may be using Safari, the site does crash a Safari tab (was able to replicate the issue with the General Discussion thread). For some strange reason, it’s fine with Arc. edit: I’ll put this in the support thread tomorrow, along with my initial troubleshooting. That's odd because all iOS browsers are just Safari with a different skin. Try deleting site cache/data/cookies from Safari and try again. If there are any sorts of add-ons or additional features try turning them off. Quote
Hawkingbird Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Twitter links take an absurdly long time to load if they do at all. It tends to screw with the performance of the page when they don't. I'm not sure how I can fix this intimigator 1 Quote

I'm not sure how I can fix this On iOS, if you scroll through a page while Twitter embeds load, the whole website crashes locally and has to be reloaded. Actually, the whole site is either slow or constantly breaking down on iOS. With that said, I use Safari on iPhone and wouldn’t be surprised if it were a Safari thing. Can anyone else confirm? Quote

Twitter embeds are something I don't really have much control over. All I can suggest is making sure you don't have any adblockers or privacy blockers active as those tend to break inter-site embeds like these. And yes, Safari on mobile is infamous for breaking things. I myself only have PCs and Android phones so I can't speak to how things perform on the iOS version of Safari. intimigator 1 Quote
