When Loki is brought before the Time Variant Authorities court to go over his case. Loki brings up and argues the fact the avengers are actually more liable than Loki. His argument is they fucked up the timeline more than he could due to all their time traveling bullshit they did during end game. Which he’s right about imo. 
 

However the TVA Judge is like “naw, all that was supposed to happen. You taking the tesseract again in 2012 wasn’t. So this is on you”

That scene made me chuckle. I liked this was addressed and did so early.

I really enjoyed the first episode. I was a big fan of the miss minutes cartoon that explained who the TVA are and how the multiverse works. I hope it isn't the last time the exposition cartoons show up.

I was hoping morbius would have told him that Coulson survived being stabbed with the staff. I guess AoS isn't in the scared timeline.

The French kid pointing at the devil drawing in the church makes me hope the main villain of the show is Surtur.

So this show and Wanda Vision pretty much makes me believe the Netflix verse and Agents of Shield are all non-canon or alternate timeline at best. My cousin seems to still think they're Canon but I just don't at this point

I could see a situation where loki inadvertently turns immortus into Kang. I've seen some stuff where he worked for the tva/time keepers and has gone rogue.

Especially with all this destiny talk.. Theirs a couple off comments that had me interested. 

 

-the fact the desk clerk spent his entire life behind a desk. As if it's a caste system and he isn't deserving of anything else because destiny decided he's a clerk

 

-that animation video explaining the rules. Their was the part saying oh.. If you went to get coffee on the wrong day or something and they decided it's not part of destiny they can erase you. 

 

Lil comments like those make me think it's gonna be a bigger deal later on. 

 

Lokis character is one of the most staunch anti destiny guys. He hates not being in control. So this could play out in a very chaotic loki way. 

 

Im still convinced the tva/time keepers are the real villains.

Alternate timelines are still technically Canon. Like days of future past is an alternate timeline but it's still part of the Canon of marvel. 

 

Non-Canon would be like an out of continuity comic.. Usually like crossovers. Like if the punisher Died is a weird crossover with the joker or sumtin weird. Or if they flat out retcon stories.

 

At the moment nothing in the mcu has made a definitive statement that implies agents of shield doesn't exist in canon

And I don't know if it means anything, but all the non-MCU projects were moved to the Marvel Legacy collection on Disney Plus. Also, Fiege seems to have a thing against anything he wasn't over. 

 

I can't definitely say the Fox Movies and Netflix shows aren't canon but.....

There's no need to chuck Netflix stuff into the void. They were inconsequential to the MCU at large anyway. Besides, fans of those shows have became attached to those incarcerations of the characters. Marvel Studios will catch hell if they want to use Daredevil and not bring in Charlie Cox.

It's no bullshit logic, it fails in line with govt agencies/burocratic agency . It caters to their whim.. How they don't prosecute some groups but will others purely because they decide that's how the rules work.

Well I went through some of my issues I collected in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Turns out some of them have some decent keys.

 

Might have to get these slabbed too. Although I've read that the price to slab has gone up and the turnaround time is about 6 years now. 😬

 

 

Cap issue is an Alex Ross variant of Bucky being Cap for the first time.

Spiderman is the first appearance of Kraven's daughter.

The Hulk is the first appearance of Red Hulk.

And the Daredevil is a variant cover of the first appearance of Lady Bullseye.

 

Nothing too crazy, but cool stuff for me.

Hahaha it was an embellishment

By slabbing I mean sending it in to get graded and thrown into a plastic cover. But the wait times are abound 6 months right now to get it done by the company.

I would love it, but even after everything I still can't believe Disney would let that type of story on their precious Disney +. I am surprised they let Falcon and the Winter Soldier do what they did even broaching it.

I'd just sell it and get my money. If I'm not gonna use it then I honestly don't want it. I have expensive videogames like Popful Mail, Batsugun, Radiant Silvergun, and I still play them and use them. To not feels disrespectful to me.

Well, Way of X has been very good so far with strong team members, and as always a strong narrative.

Simon Spurrier showing how powerful Legion's mind is as he's performing psychic surgery on Kurt while being only a brain connected to a machine. Also when Legion revived himself after being reborn in Arbor Magna and Xavier denied to install Legion's consciousness in his new body.. And it seems his rebirth was felt by everybody in Krakoa as they all had this surprised look as if they felt it in their bones. And the big bad is Onslaught, a very powerful foe. All in all, a lot of fun.

 

Also, both Xorns are circling Legion as if to watch his every move. I wonder if they'll fight him at some point.

 

And Spurrier wasn't kidding when he said the Hellfire gala was about horny people

Yeah for a while I tried that method but the onslaught of post Secret Wars events Marvel had broke me. I still pick up a few singles here and there but I bam no longer the weekly consumer I once was will wait for trade or digital discounted offerings often.

Yeah. It’s unfortunate. Especially with Dawn/Reign of X because I’m soooooo behind on issues. The first reign of x trade doesn’t come out until the end of the month and the only new title it has is SWORD.

Eddie Brock is damn near a cosmic being now due to now having the Omni awareness of nearly the entire Symbiote race. 
 

Using the ability regularly to fix all the wrongs Knull did all over the universe while the king in black has aged him significantly. 
 

Eddie has counsel with all the major super hero groups in the MU letting them know the only person in the universe he cannot detect/see/feel is The Maker (Marvel Ultimates universe Reed Richards) 

 

Eddie also reveals that despite not knowing where the the maker is he knows The Maker has been in contact with the Counsel of Reeds and in order to be initiated into the group he must invade the main universe  and remake it as the new ultimates universe 

 

After all the discussions Captain America personally offers Eddie a spot on the Avengers. Eddie politely declines saying he just wants to be a stay at home dad but if anyone ever needs his help he will assist in anyway he can.

 

He also tells Captain America  the offer to join the Avengers “means more to me than anyone will ever know” 

 

In the same conversation with Cap, Eddie recommends Flash Thomson/Agent Anti-Venom to take the spot offered to Eddie 

 

The comic then goes to flash Thomson walking around the city and wanders into a coffee shop. As he’s small talking with a woman in front of him his senses go off and ducks and covers while grabbing the woman in front of him. He realizes the coffee server has been executed.
 

He looks behind him and sees members of Guardsmen from Alchemax industries. (the guardsmen are a group within alchemax that hunt symbiotes). Flash freaks out thinking they are for him but one of the alchemax members say “target apprehended” and it’s revealed the coffee shop worker is bonded with a symbiote. Flash immediately transforms into Anti-Venom and beats all the Guardsmen members within an inch of their life and leaves. 
 

It pans back to Eddie and Dylan as Dylan is getting ready for school. There’s a funny joke where Eddie talks about all of his powers but all of them can’t help with trying to control a teenager. Lol 

 

Eddie and Dylan start talking and Dylan reveals that he’s mad at Eddie as he believes Eddie is the reason he’s so miserable and now nothing special just a jr high school kid. 
 

The main venom symbiote is basically Dylan’s protector. He takes the form of a pit bull looking dog and escorts Dylan everywhere and waits for him after school. On the way to school Dylan asks the symbiote what his name is. The Symbiote explains to him that it doesn’t really work that way. They don’t have names that can be said in spoken tongue. It’s more of a emotional reverberation so they recognize each other. 
 

Dylan asks if it’s okay if the symbiote would show him what he means. The symbiote says yes and Dylan starts crying while saying thank you to the symbiote. The symbiote tells him you’re welcome. 
 

Dylan ends up getting into a fight a school but gets blamed for the fight despite not fighting back. He ends up getting detention. 
 

as dylan and the venom symbiote walk home from school after detention there hear a woman screaming in alley. Dylan immediately tries to track down the yelling and help the woman.

 

The symbiote tells him “no! This is too dangerous and you can get hurt!”. Dylan replies “yeah, well, dad said to only fight when it’s something worth protecting!” Venom relents and follows Dylan to alley. 
 

He finds Jack O’Lantern mugging a woman with a gun. Dylan tells him to stop. As  JOL turns to Dylan and venom (still in dog form) branding the gun at him, Venom grows in size and goes on the offensive to protect the woman and Dylan. JOL’s gun accidentally goes off, goes through the symbiote and the bullet hits Dylan in the chest and he is presumed dead. 
 

JOL realizes that Dylan is eddie’s kid and basically shits himself. Seconds later you see that the venom symbiote has bonded to Dylan and they are they become the new venom. JOL begs for his life as Venom approaches and it’s hinted at that Venom kills JOL. 
 

Some time passes and Dylan arrives at he and Eddies apartment roof where Eddie is waiting. Dylan asks Eddie if he’s upset that he bonded with the Venom symbiote. Eddie essentially says “No, of course not. It was never a matter of if you and venom would bond but when. I just didn’t think it’d be this soon”.
 

Eddie then comments on the form the symbiote has taken for Dylan (it’s probably about 8ft tall and has black chains wrapped around it’s arms from wrist to forearm. It’s very spawn-esque. Which makes sense as Todd McFarlane is why Donny Cates wanted to get into comics).

Dylan just smiles and says “well, I wanted him to look scary” 

 

after a few more moments of dialogue Dylan rebonds to Venom and they swing away (using the symbiote chains as opposed to webbing, it looks bomb) to patrol the night.

It just now kinda dawned on me on how good Al Ewing’s run of venom is going to be. With how Cates run just ended it’s likely go to be part intergalactic Sci fi adventures with Eddie and then local earth stuff with the new Venom, the new Toxin and the newly returned Flash Thompson/Agent Anti-Venom

I finally started WandaVision this weekend. Four episodes in and I'm digging it so far. I didn't really know what to expect from the MCU shows but I'm thinking they're gonna be good.
