The moves come out well, but while you execute them you have the impression that you are executing them badly (then they come out well anyway) so the feedback is not exactly the best. The 6 buttons are very good instead.

I play both fighting games (mostly 2D) and SHMUPS.
I don't know many models or their differences, but I noticed that some of these controllers require being connected to the dualshock, and that's something I hate...

For example, I get along very well with the PS Classic controllers (PS Classic Mini) but they only work on the PS Mini and on PC...I usually don't play on the PC but with the console in the living room. 

It doesn't really  matter what controller you use.  It's just preference.

 

Stick if you want to be traditional, hitbox if you like playing on keyboard. If you're happy with pad just buy a better one.
