He dropped a new Netflix special called No Fucks Given. He said quite a few jokes in the special that some found misogynistic. Those people took extreme offense to the bit where he "called" his 15 year old daughter a hoe. 

 

The segment has talk him about how his daughter would be interested in a boy only for her interest to die off quick and move on to the next boy. In his mind that was hoe shit. Cue the twitter outrage.

Sounds like a bunch of people who never had kids losing it. Sometimes your kid wilds out and you think to yourself:

The name of the special should be all the warning these people needed. He addressed the outrage saying people are creating narratives. He made no apologies.

These people seem to think that he's slut shaming his kid. Anyone who watched the special or just watched that segment knows better.

y'know what's really, really annoying?  Those people that are conversational "dead end" on just about anything.  There's at least 2... actually 3 people I happen to know that are/were like this to varying degrees.  I'm not even a super-outgoing person, but some of this shit I've encountered with these people...it's pitiful....and occasionally just annoying.  ...like there's that 1 type that's always so immensely proud of being in a relationship and use it to shut down certain topics immediately in this way...e.g....

  • "Yeah, man..it's a cool show... and that new actress that stars in it is smokin hot..."
  • "Ehhh, I don't look at shows just for that; remember, I have a girlfriend, dude."

^Every damn time....even if it's pretty clear that you enjoy the show legitimately, and the eye-candy just happens to be a side-bonus there....and besides----is your girl *really* on par with the average smokin hot actress you see on television?  For most guys, the answer to that question is probably no, at least in terms of pure sex appeal.  Still, it's such an odd personality trait to consistently close that avenue of discussion down immediately....almost as if he sees the mere act of talking about gorgeous famous women to be "cheating" somehow.  More likely it's related to a Napoleon Complex....with the subtext being "I have a girlfriend so I don't need to STOOP to the level of admiring hot girls on tv....like the rest of you peasants." 

 

This is just 1 aspect, by the way... there's also the fact that you can't bring up most recently produced films and tv shows because he probably hasn't seen that shit; he wasn't one that cared much about the movie-theater experience, and eventually stopped watching much tv.  Oh and before you say 1 word he'll shut any discussion of a thing down even if you give fair warning that you are NOT going to spoil anything for this 8-year old shit that he still hasn't seen or game he hasn't played "yet".

 

The other one that comes to mind is dear ol' Dad, as I have mentioned before... but for different reasons.  You have to tip-toe around various topics out of fear that you will spawn a 3-hour monologue/rant....and 2 or 3 hours... that's him showing some form of "restraint", by the way.  That's him in "abbreviated" form, folks.

The tv thing is the same with Dad though....movies too... since he's in pure "Out of Touch Boomer" mode at this point and has been for a while... doesn't watch tv unless it is sports and the news...and doesn't watch that many movies.... even extremely popular shit like say--- Lord of the Rings?  Nah he hasn't seen it and probably never will.  It surprised the hell out of me when I found out he actually saw The Matrix though.  I am still taken aback that this happened.

Its an interesting if not bad competitive game. It's like a race where if you know optimal routes through levels, you can screw your opponent who, if they know how to handle it, can recover and screw you back. But ultimately it's kind of like Smash in a sense that it's not a game that was meant to be competitive, so they end up having to ban levels and make considerations so it's not dumb sometimes. 

 

I didn't think it was popular enough to be considered an "esport." I played in the Catherine tourney at Evo 2018 to bolster their numbers a bit because they didn't have that many people playing and because I like the game and the community is pretty cool.

Why the fuck is it that comedians are held to a higher standard than Kanye West? Kanye said slavery was a choice, and yet I never heard anything about canceling him on the level I heard with Kevin Hart. Kanye never had deals taken away from him that I know of. But Kevin had to choose between apologizing and hosting the Oscars those moldy old tweets from ten or so years ago popped up. And EVERYBODY KNEW Kevin Hart was joking. Why the hell do these cancel culture idiots want to flex on comedians so bad?

Million, the thing about hot chicks on tv reminded of when I was in Bloomington ,IL for a semester.

My gf at the time had an apt in the same complex.

After lunch or certain half days, I would come over to chilln for Abit at her place. She had a TV and I didn't. I would watch Giada De Laurentiis cooking show for obvious reasons. My gf would say that she was so hot and I would be like Damn straight.

I'm laughing at the fact that yourfriend wouldn't even watch a show with a hot chick. Negro please.

Kanye has always done and said crazy shit. Something like slavery is a choice is expected from Kanye as he always gone off the deep end. Having legit mental issues means people like to put on the kid gloves when dealing with him.

When I was in a little kid, the most I'd eat would be 5-6 medium slices(pizza hut or dominos sizes).

 

Now maybe 4 large papa john's slices. Probably due to age and trying to reduce starches in theese last 5 or so years.

 

Also,I feel if I'm going to eat a lot of a certain thing, it's more likely to be protein like chicken /turkey/ etc.

Point taken. Yes, I guess crazy does give you a little more leeway than perhaps you deserve.

Still though. I don't get why comedians are seemingly held to higher standards than other entertainers when it comes to cancel shit. Maybe I'm wrong in that statement; I don't really follow "cancel _" campaigns like that. But why are people so set on yanking comedians' chains here?

Comedy is inherently offensive. There's no way someone can be a stand up comedian and not have a laugh at someone's expensive. Makes it an easy target.

I suppose comedians are seen as entertainers who are half "newsanchors"/columnists in modern times. People are reading less news on tv and in newspapers and getting more current event from comedians.

 

I'd wager Trevor Noah and Chapelle influence political and social far more than they think , especially young and minority peeps.

 

Those guys saying "Harriet Tubman is fake" is equivalent to Tom Brokaw or Dan Rather saying it.

I spotted this earlier today in my usual youtube-channel surfin"

It is unfortunate they couldn't get even more of the former on-air talent together for this...but so far the 3 ladies here are still looking good enough to eat.  I still remember that Halo 3 episode of "Cheat" where Kristin had the super-short skirt on... yep I recorded it.  There is also 1 episode of X-play where you get a brief glimpse up Morgan's skirt.... of course I had that on tape as well.  Yes, panties were visible.

 

ah, they do have some others that showed up later... Candace Bailey!  I forgot her name until now... also Alison Haislip... and Jess Chobot!

Amazon Prime TV Reviews:

 

Fleabag.

Basically what if Million was a British woman

 

Pros

Good quick witted dialogue with relatable characters.

 

Its only 2 seasons with 6 episodes each. It doesnt drag and wear out its welcome imo.

 

Even though its 80% a comedy, there are some good dramatic moments and reveals.

 

Breaking the fourth wall is used to its best in this show.

 

Cons:

I wish the godmother  and Flea had a definite showdown at the end.

 

Overall: 9/10

 

 

I've heard that this is the end of the show, and while I wished there was more. I'm glad it ended on a high note.

Arguably, the best Amazon show Ive watched so far.

 

Next: The Boys!

Nothing forces you to throw out Thanksgiving leftovers than your refrigerator saying "Fuck it".

 

I've pretty much done everything that I could within reason to troubleshoot so now it's just a matter of waiting for the property manager to respond on Monday. It's not completely "dead" as the freezer side still runs and is around 32 degrees. Some things at the bottom of the freezer did thaw out (e.g., frozen fruits) but most everything above that section is still solid. The refrigerator side is around 48 degrees (most food starts to become unsafe at that temperature). It'll likely be a week before things get resolved. 

 

Good news is that in NC, the renters insurance covers food spoilage up to $500 with no deductible.
