Meh.  I wouldn't say ruin it if indeed there wasn't supposed to be any political discussion.  It's a little suspicious that the discussion ended after Orange man's win though, but no worries.  A win is a win.  God knows there will be several other places to watch the Salt flow.

As far as crinkle cut fries, None can stand against them.  None with the possible exception of the waffle fries and those have to be done right.

ive been thinkin of going on a either paleo diet or keto.

removing sugar n carbs from the diet.

but knowing me, i'll prob have carbs on the weekend cuz sayin goodbye to rice n taters 4everz is just too much.

True. Nicely crisp tator tots are S tier, and they dip perfectly into ketchup better than fry. Greasy soft tator tots though are a lost cause. Just a waste of food.

I did keto for 30 days a few years ago. From my experience. It is the most effective weight loss diet. And you will feel a surge in natural energy. Close to that get up and go you had as a teen.

 

The first 2 to 3 weeks though will FUCKING SUCK! You're changing your body's energy source from glucose to fat. And your body will experience a lot of fatigue and nausea, until it gets use to using fat as a energy source. YOU MUST CONSUME LOTS OF FAT. Not getting enough fat will have consequences on your body and mind.

 

But if you're on point with the diet and tough it out? You will feel amazing by the end of week 3. Like your body has been cleansed.

Tater tots should be officially recognized as snack and breakfast food.  they also make a good side for several dishes.  Now if we're talking about the hashbrowns found at McD's, I think maybe that's restricted to breakfast, but the tots should be allowed to move beyond the breakfast table.

There is some method by which Sweet Potato Fries are done right, and I have no idea what it is or who can do it.  I've had them ONCE.  ONCE at a Western Sizzlin and they were okay once you hit them with the powdered sugar.  Strangely enough, that same building closed down about a month or so later due to some public safety violation.  I no longer think that was a coincidence.

I dont care for tatertots or any of the special cut fries.  Tots are like dried up mini hashbrowns.  I'd rather just have hashbrowns.  The special cut fries always have too much seasoning on them and they just dont taste good to me.

 

edit - I use to love gettin' the potato wedges they sold at Safeway.  That was like 20+ years ago and Im not sure if I'd still like them.

I was having a heck of a time finding this post but I finally found it. The post preceding it is talking about how Bluesky grew by 3 million last week and with that growth came that post.

One of the little things that grinds my gears in games lately--- in customization options true dark colors don't seem to be a thing anymore... especially the color black.  If the game has a color-palette/picker or wheel whatever thing... even if the option there looks like you're picking solid black for hair, the result is just "dark grey" in appearance.  That shit is lame and annoying....Baldur's Gate 3 is the latest example that's fresh on my mind.  It's annoying that it takes mods to actually have that option for real dark black hair on your character.  

Of course, due to the wording--- anytime you search this online then another annoyance is that it only brings up the ongoing topic of "why can't games get Black hair right?" as in Black people's hair styles....which is obviously a different topic; not what I was searching for just now (*out of curiosity to see if others had the same gripe about that)

 

...that other topic reminds me---it has become amusing to see how common the "Kilmonger" hairstyle became in gaming for the past 2 years or so...like it's become a meme at this point --black major character --"well we have to put the kilmonger hairstyle on him/her... it's the rules."

It cracks me up that Jack Dorsey left Twitter and when he decided to do a new project, the best idea they could come up with was a Twitter remake. I don't understand why anyone would leave Twitter for bluesky at this point except for preserving their echo chamber. It's the same type of thing with less functionality and less of a user base.

 

A guy I know is always trying to get people to jump to bluesky by going on Twitter and saying what a dumpster fire it is and how anyone who still posts on it is dumb (🤣)  He was telling me "we finally got video last year!" 😂😂😂

Its not surprising at all that a newer social platform doesn't have the same amount of features as an older one.  Its going to take a moment to get to that point if it even gets there at all but for some its clearly not about having the same features at the moment.  The features can eventually get to where they need to be especially if people continue to invest into it.

It's also not remotely surprising someone would sell something for way way WAY over value when offered way way WAY over value for it then go back to doing that anyway. Jack didn't offer to sell Twitter he was offered too much money to refuse. Nothing about that signifies he lost interest in doing the thing he was doing tho.

What gets me is that she says the extraction of precious metals has a history of racial hierarchies, perhaps, but to somehow link that to white supremacy? The ancient Egyptians, the Incas, the Mayans were all extracting metals before the white men arrived.

This sort of thing is incentivized. It's possible she may not have wanted to make such a claim (though I doubt it), but it's an easy way to get funding and attention. Stupid as she sounds, it seems like a "don't hate the player, hate the game" situation to me.

To me that's like releasing a vehicle in 2024 without air conditioning or a radio. Like bare minimum stuff that should be in place before release ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Silicon valley folks have gotten used to delivering half baked stuff because they can get the public to do their beta testing for them.

Eeeeehhh...I'd say it's closer to releasing a vehicle in 2024 without backup camera and bluetooth.  It's stuff that is pretty much near deemed standard in newer vehicles but you can get by without it.  And in this particular case the dealer is telling you that you can bring the car back in and they'll install those features  for you at a later date for free.
