Avatars Fighters hype?!

Surprised there isn’t a thread about this game. ATLA is probably the IP I’ve most wanted a FG for. 
 

Toph trailer this character looks amazing. Unless Azula is absolutely cracked or we get a hail mary Ming Hua this is my main lol

It's good to see that video's thumbnail is of the GOAT Toph. The most terrafying woman in earth bendertainment today. The Great one herself, the Peridot Champ. It is good to see that the Toph has finally come back to Ba Sing Se. Okay I think I'm out of Rock/earth puns.

 

My bad/dad humor aside, Avatar Legends looks surpringly good. The fact that Tokon is from ArcSys, has the Marvel license, and yet Avatar seems to be drawing the most attention speaks volumes. The hype is based more on the game and how it plays than who's in it. Plus the universe lends itself to an interesting roster. Uncle Iroh anyone?

I will say I am interested and more than willing to buy it/preorder it once is available, but not hype.
I own their other games, Them Fighting Herds and Diesel Legacy.
They are fun, I do play them casually from time to time.

I think they still work with Mike Z engine.
But I dont know if their use is tied with him or with the back stabbers at Reverge Labs.

The game looks like it will be fun, and I like the hand drawn animations, but with the caveat that it manages to look kind of stiff.
Dunno if it will be fixed, but is not a big negative for me, since I always wanted an Avatar fighting game.

 

If someone else gets it here, I will be willing to throw hand with you in the game, but dont expect me to be playing it beyond casual level XD.

 

I think that unless the games end being doodoo my attention will be divided between Tokon, Invinsible VS and dbfz after the new char/wave of chars.

Yeah I’m waiting to see if Tokon or Avatar will be my next game. I’m gonna buy both but I don’t think I’ll have time to properly dedicate to playing both at a decent level.

 

My only nitpicks are Aang mostly only using air bending and like 10% of the voice acting sounding off. Otherwise I’m really excited for the game.

At least with Tokon, I played the betas, and so far I am likiing the game.

Plus, they have been listening to the feedback, since while it was not explicitly said, in the last trailer, they changed how assists behave when called in the air, so that the assist called is the same as the assist in the ground.

 

What I hope, is that they add a fucking burst.

This game will need it, the damage is pretty high, and the combo leniency is very big.

Plus, it makes thematic sense, there is no way that in any marvel comics canon, lets say, wolverine sees spiderman being jumped on and manhandle without jumping in to save his ally.

BTW, this is something I miss of more regular online gatherings.

I used to have setups for both the regular games people played and more obscure/niche stuff, so in the downtime while waiting for your turn on lets say, sf, gg or mk, you played, something else.

It allowed for casual fun on games that maybe you didnt want to invest time, but wanted to dabble on them.

 

That is how a lot of people discovered games like Melty Blood, Hokuto no Ken, etc.
Or where able to just get matches on games they like but not many people played before like Rival Schools or the SFEX series

 

Nowdays, everyone (not saying is your case) feels like they can only dedícate their time to only 1 or 2 games, because they expect themselves to try to play almost as high level play.

I have some Friends that started playing with more recent games, that dont have/understand this old head mentality where you could play many games, some casual, some at enthusiast/competent level, and others in a more serious way, which in turn made you better at playing fgs, since you started to notice basic fundamentals at a more concious level due seeing what transfers and what not beyond each game gimmicks

Tell me about it, those cunts carácter assasinated both Alex Ahad and Mike Z to steal their work, their studio, their engine, their characters, etc.
And for what?
To start censoring the game, to ruin the characters with retcons and other shit, and basically just try to make the few fans left their pay pigs with the mobile game, since neither of SG or the other game have seen any significant development in years.

Either way I’ll buy both games but if I’m only playing one game it’ll be ATLA…at least at first. Been waiting too long on this game Marvel looks great but we already have plenty of Marvel FGs
