There were apparently issues with that in previous incarnations of SRK, but the headcount is low enough here that I THINK it could be manageable. I think the politics talk will tamp down over the next few weeks anyway though.

Misterbee has stated that he does not want a politics thread based on prior incidents that occured on SRK.

They'll lessen and probably pick back up when he's in office but I don't think the political conversation is going to go back to being the way it was prior honestly.  It probably won't get as tense as it was leading, during and after election day but I would bet that there's always going to be something to talk about once Trump has gotten into office.

Companies picked a really interesting time to suddenly go back to Twitter.  I've been seeing more and more people migrating from that platform to the point that Bluesky actually ended up apparently no.1 on the app store.

They also recently came out and addressed people's concerns about A.I.

I'm just seeing a chunk of people in my feed saying they're even leaving the app completely or they're posting on both temporarily until they can ween themselves off for good.  No telling if their momentum is going to continue though but some people are just tired of Elon and Elon's dumb changes to the app.

He's not wrong though, there's been a big recent uptick in people with big followings leaving just recently.  I'm not saying it's "different this time", but a bunch of people who were nominally sticking around to see how it goes seem to be at least trying to pivot to the other platforms all at the same time now.

There isn't supposed to be any politics on this site at all, since people just can't control themselves.
