...I heard there's gonna be some kind of anti-EVO at the Luxor Esports Arena.  If that goes well this year I'll make plans next year to focus my efforts on that instead.  But man, it's a REAL shame that this is the state of official side tournaments now.  Word is that four year salt is also what yanked me off commentary for TMNTxJL at CB a couple weeks ago, but I haven't confirmed that just yet.  Best I can do for now is continue biding my time.  I don't think anything I'm posting here is really ban-worthy either.

 

I need more info on the anti-EVO tournament. May go to that over EVO. sounds like a case from 22 years ago when people didn't like the love parade in Germany and made an anti-live parade called the fuck parade. Yes, at that fuck parade is where the legend, techno viking was!

i have several gigabytes of porn scattered around 4 hds i think. I don't know how much exactly and I don't care really. I kept on buying new hard drives to store more anime ,games and other stuff but i never got around in deleting all that porn.

Well, the main point is that you have content you really like readily available to you so you don't have to go looking. Especially if you're into niche stuff you can't easily find on streamers. Even with the truckloads of porn available, niche content can be hard to find.

 

I used to harp about quality too, but streamers are almost caught up there.

If you depend of streaming, then you are 1 change in law away or a change in scope of business to kiss certain content away.

Like what happened to Pornhub, where they removed a great portion of the content on the site if the account wasn't verified, removing a lot of amateur stuff.

 

There is also the fact that if you are into more deviant shit, you will likely not find it on most commercial stream sites.

 

Also, due how torrent works, the availability of certain content can become 0 for certain movies.

It was an app, not a filter.
The media were claiming that it was mysoginistic and other dumb shit.

When in reality, the devs released it as an app to train the A.I with a larger pool of users.

The data collected was to help the real app to work better, said app is one that is used to identify potential kidnapping/sex traffic victims, since is very common for abducters to use makeup and hair dyeing to hide the identities of the victims.

Exactly. There used be to be a blogspot blog called Not so Famous Pornstars that uploaded a lot of videos that were not on the usual streaming sites. Lots of people were sad when the guy called it quits.

Yeah, just like with games, movies and tv... I prefer to actually have copies of the porn I'm into.  I don't trust the situation of needing to rely on an internet connection for anything, really....it can always be taken away tomorrow for countless reasons that are beyond your control.  Also... there's naturally going to be favorites that are your regular material.  I've also never purposely deleted anything unless it was a duplicate.  There was 1 computer that unexpectedly died on me, so I lost some "material" that way that wasn't yet backed up.  Sheeeitttt, I still have a couple of ZIP drives, actually....oddly enough I never put stuff on CD though; I only ever used that format for burning mp3s.  ...but yeah I never threw anything away; I still have stuff from the late '90s.

 

...that took me back down memory lane, of course... the first major sites I went to for "material" on a regular basis were Voyeurweb, "Upskirt" and a site simply called "Naked-Celebs".  Those were my big 3 I went to daily.

I’ve tried to delete chunks over the years, but I always end up finding mega packs to torrent, and I end up worse than when I started. I’ve stuff from the golden age (70s-early 80s, my favorite btw), pre 2257 stuff (prime bangbros/reality kings), lots of Justin Slayer (the goat when it comes to interracial imo), so on and so forth. To tell the truth, OnlyFans has made my issue so much worse.

And yeah, VG is the former AnimEVO.  It used to be we could run stuff by ourselves and they were left to their usual poverty things, but now you have to go through them to run everything.  

 

There are people vouching against me, yes, but as I said before, they are all people who really should not be given any sort of seat of influence.  Unless I was doing something worthy of getting security called on me, which is not the case, there shouldn't be any problems and if they don't like me, they can use coping skills and we agree to stay out of each other's way for the sake of the greater good.  Trust me, the things they've said to me could have been reacted to FAR worse than I actually did, but coping skills came into play and I just rolled my eyes and went back to work.

 

Their main piece of ammo is this commentary clip that went viral last year.  Worse things have been said on NBA Jam On Fire Edition but I apologized and sat in time out until I eventually returned to Arturo's channel and continued commentating events.  I also worked with the SFV Online Local, which is SUPER strict about language/jokes etc and didn't have any problems there either.

The whole thing seems like a blowup. My wife and I were talking about how it doesn't even seem worth going to Evo anymore unless you are a very serious competitor for one of the main games. Travel has become more expensive and there are other events closer and cheaper that give the same opportunities to see friends that aren't mired with controversy.

That's where I'm at too.  What's funny is that if I had been accepted this year I would have said "this is my last EVO" but now I have a chip on my shoulder LOL.

 

Someone else is going to run SfxT and I'm helping him out remotely as much as I can.  If that goes well I may return next year just as a competitor.

The DOA community is one of my fave FGC groups, anyone who's about that life is ABOUT it and they've worked extremely hard in showing the world that their game is credible despite strange aesthetic designs across its lifetime.  I personally enjoy DOA's aesthetic and how everyone looks like a fashion model, guys and girls alike, and I've ran events for DOA just because I like their hustle.

That Evo story is pretty wild to me. I remember in 2018, a number of games were being run on setups I had brought, including TMNT, Puzzle Fighter, and Vsav. I also remember one of my CRTs being under a table (took forever to find), but I don't think it's the same one that @Psychoblueis talking about. HnK definitely ran long, since SMS was supposed to run top 4 at 6 and we didn't get started until a little after 7. 

 

Just a lot of crazy parallels there.

this is the same event.  Has to be.  I was the guy brought in to stream TMNT at the request of Tobemorecrazy, who is now my teammate on the TMNTxJL team.  As I’m getting ready to air Top 8 that’s when the CRT stuff happened with the converter. 
 

the monitor that I'm talkin about was an ASUS though.  That was the following day on Saturday.  That holdup with HnK, Sailor Moon S etc was Friday.   Maybe that's why it took so long for TMNT Top 8 to finish because they had Sailor Moon immediately follow on stage with the CRT converter they took from me?  Again, I had mostly forgotten about it until Hagure brought it up.
 

For context, Xavier Woods was helping out with Windjammers that weekend.  If by some happenstance I said something to you during those delays that came off sideways, I do humbly apologize.  Being tired and hungry for reasons that could have been avoided if everyone else came prepared can be grating, and I guess being it was EVO where i had to go through all these hoops just to run a side tournament when in the 5  years prior I would simply pick a space in the venue and set up shop on my own it only further added to my aggravation because I expected better.
