(The trickier bit is if you take a picture of something that is itself copyrighted.  Then you've probably made an unauthorized copy.  Unless it's fair use.  Fair use is a mess.)

Ah, so if I get my balls copyrighted and then Ariana Grande takes a picture of them and posts to Twitter, I could make an argument for the rights to my balls in the photograph.

ah, late night AM... should be a good one

News cycle is moving a bit fast lately... looks like the Shanquella story will fade away since there was the 4 students that got stabbed in Idaho, and now a shooting at that lgbtq club in Colorado, and of course the media tends to just keep focus on 1 or 2 stories at a time.

*it's a bit annoying that Black Friday is a thing... it means I have to of course avoid going to the store at all cost because I hate any "crowded store" situation with the most intense passion.

So what's Marvel's so called agenda besides making assloads of money hand over fist?

It's live right now; he was just getting the show started when I posted...... I see where he's going with this; he referenced this recent interview

...where Marvel producer Nate Moore would prefer writers that are NOT fans of the original material.  I get the motivation behind that line of thinking... but of course there is always the possibility that the result is crap that turns off too much of an audience.  With fans of comic characters we all know that chance of turning them off is high.  There's only so many things you can change around before an increasing # of fans are out like "...nah it's a no for me, dawg."  That gets you into situations where a white woman is cast as "The Ancient One" for whatever silly ass reason.....but apparently I guess that kind of absurdity is indeed what people like these days, so whatever.  (*I should not be surprised since "mumble rap" nonsense was also a popular, successful thing...along with "pet rocks" back in the day and jheri curl hairstyles.  There's a lot of shit I find to be completely awful that was quite successful.)

Yes, but it's probably difficult to get your balls copyrighted.  I'm not sure of the legal standards, but I think the core is that copyright covers "creative works."  Your best bet may be to creatively embellish your balls, kind of like how Mike Tyson's face tattoo comes up as a copyright problem now and then.

Disclaimer: Do not tattoo your balls.  In fact, avoid needles anywhere near your balls if you can at all help it.

Still though; what's Marvel's "agenda"? I only hear anti-woke clowns talk about Marvel having an "agenda", so maybe that's painting my opinion here. But I've never heard what this "agenda" is. Like RSG said, there is no apparent "agenda" besides making money.

You mean they have a hiring practice just like every single company in existence?

Nooooooooooooo.

That's not an Agenda, that's a hiring practice. The agenda is to make fuck loads of money pandering to their audience and since this strategy is making them fuck loads of money with basically every release....I'd say they must to be on to something. Sometimes it doesn't work, like I guess the Ancient One, or definitely Taskmaster, but their track record proves more home runs then strike outs with this strategy.

Everybody has an agenda. An agenda is just a list of shit you want to accomplish, agenda is not a negative right out the gate. Dude making the video about this subject has an agenda, and it's to get as many eyes on his video/stream as possible and he will pander to his audience with goofy Disney/Marvel takes to get eyes on video/stream. That makes him money...damn there's that motivator to so many peoples agenda again....Money.

Disney's Agenda is money. You're delusional if you think its anything else. If shitting on gays and minorities made them money they would do it...In fact they have before in the past.

The agenda is money for both of these entities.

Ok yeah that makes sense---the agenda is indeed to make money---but the way they are going about it lately is just not producing the results some of us would like to see.  It's producing stuff that is little more than something to laugh at from the sidelines, imo.  As mentioned before, I'm genuinely surprised when something from these companies ends up being good at this point.  Nothing beyond Avengers Endgame is standing out as anything I'd pay even 1 penny to see, tbh (*on the Marvel side; with DC, Black Adam was an enjoyable one with actual cool shit going on).....maybe the exception of Werewolf by Night; that one looks potentially cool.

They at least are not quite as heavy-handed as the CW....I'm not sure how one could claim it's anything else when you have characters like Superman going out of his way to say lines like "Wow, Kara....you're just... so much better than me.", after he gets "tired" from using heat vision before she does.... or how in Legacies one of the lame ass vamps just out of the blue blurts out "...but I'm a feminist, soooo..."---like the shows are constantly trying to preach something to you.  It's odd to me that some of you guys clearly just don't find this topic as amusing as I do.  I'm already looking forward to whatever they do to the X-men soon....it's sure to be a scream 😆  It's similar to how I enjoy laughing it up about whatever Bethesda's next embarrassing pile of half-working shit will be.

sidenote---I forgot that Lightyear was even made; seemed like another dud with nothing particularly interesting about it.

Balenciaga essentially endorsing child porn and the outrage just really isn't there or is very weak. We need that same energy for this as we have for anti semetism. Sexualizing children is objectively worse, even alot of prison inmates don't play about kids

Um....got a link or something, that's a hell of claim to just put in a post out of nowhere lol.

To me it's more the weirdness of it. Still a bit icky, but more... weird.

The kids clearly don't know what they're holding, and kinda look like they don't want to be there. Even if the teddy bears were normal teddys, that would still stick out to me.

That probably has more to do with deep down inside knowing that using children to sell shit to people is exploitation and wrong. Like imo whats "offensive" about the image isn't the bears, it's the child labor & exploitation that gets under my skin. Like if those kids know anything about those outfits it's probably that their older sisters weird friend from school dresses like that.

Basically we turn a blind to eye to child labor when it's this kind of shit when it's really no better then sweatshopping but we focus on harmless dumb fuck shit like the goofy stupid outfit the bears are wearing and not the child being used a prop to sell shit no one really needs.

The world's priorities are so fucking stupid to me.

At work, Disney parks HAVE made me realize there a LOT of LGBT awareness stuff now every month. I don't care about it much but the need to bring it up all the time has been exhausting. I have no issue with Disney doing this BUT some of my LGBT co-workers range from ok to insufferable, as in the extreme ones have basically their activist side be their whole personality. My argument about the need to push constantly for inclusivity at work was to mention that not all minorities want to be at the forefront of a pride parade or a minority support group, many just want to be left alone. One area I personally pushed for in terms of that is peeps forget there's extroverts and introverts and it's painfully obvious as an introvert, I don't want to be in the spotlight all the time, only when I (or other introverts) feel comfy doing so.

Based on this, I don't think PETA would care what the consequences were for letting an animal of a potential Apocalypse loose.  They'd let it go without a 2nd thought.

If you look into PETAs actual history you wouldn't say this. They are one of the largest euthanasia groups for cats and dogs in the US.

They'd leave Fenrir chained up. PETA is all posturing.
