Maxx Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I don't think we have a martial arts film thread. So boom. Got a couple of movies coming down the pipeline and I've been rewatching some other stuff again like Scott Atkins Ninja. Tubi is a free streaming platform that has a fucking assload of free classic martial arts movies too. Way way more than hulu or Netflix from what I can tell. I'm excited to see this movie. My boy plays the younger version of the black guy and looks good. locoghoul, Darc_Requiem and Wellman 2 1 Quote
Darc_Requiem Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 I just assumed we already had one. Good looking out Maxx. Here is my contribution. Quote
Wellman Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 I have to ask, do you all know any really good martial art films currently streaming that are not too violent or have too many inappropriate words even among the subtitles I can watch in front of a seven year old? Quote

Yeah, I don't mind my nephew to seeing fights but I don't want to expose him to vote and he is to read subtitles now. A curse word here or there is fine but several or other string of words that lead to uncomfortable conversations are things I am trying to avoid. Quote

Darc_Requiem Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 The coolest thing about being 80/90s kid was all the movies that inspired some of our favorite fighting game characters. Wellman 1 Quote
Wellman Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Had no idea, but probably should have, realized Art of Fighting's King was inspired by a movie. Cool to see. Quote

Well Henchwoman inspired King. Wouldn't say it inspired Art of Fighting itself. They even took the shirt rip from Henchwoman and made it apart of King. DangerousJ and Wellman 2 Quote
