They came out with a statement saying they weren't going to take a stance or any action over Rushia as the persona herself did nothing wrong. Personal lives are a seperate thing and they won't concern themselves over it. The only thing was in her distress she went ahead and shared company sensitive info (intentional or mistakenly aside). I'd just like to provide some context to everyone reading this of the mental state Rushia was going into this situation with, regardless of whatever you think about the result of her termination. Rushia has had major issues with depression and suicidal thoughts after her cat died, and also had issues with her current management to where she has cried on stream twice after receiving DMs from management, most notably on her JK outfit reveal stream; and she would often tweet extremely depressed tweets directly after her meetings with management occurred. In January around her birthday week she described having terrible things at work making her want to die and causing her suicidal tendencies to flare up again. Even her next to last tweet before this controversy was about wanting to go into an endless sleep and never wake up. Contracts are contracts of course, and I'm not going to try to make any judgements on Cover anymore, but - Regardless of everything else, I just want people to know the pain she was feeling before this whole controversy even happened. Like when the whole continental Taiwan fiasco happened, it was Coco and Kanata that supported Hachama, not Cover. And in multiple occasions many of the holomems have more or less hinted that they feel alone in many situations when it comes to dealing with a lot of stuff that goes behind the scenes. Cover is clearly operating on a mindset that is stuck on when they were way smaller than they are now. This whole situation could have been avoided if they were more competent on how to support and guide their talents on how to deal with those situations and give clear guidelines on what they can and cannot do. There has been some backlash mainly since they still have three other active groups (one of them that started like a year ago). There's some that think this vtuber project will overshadow them or that there will be too many idols to keep up with. Eagle eyed Japanese fans noticed two file folders under the recent folders section, with the file names "MIAA-452" and "MSVD-469". These are product codes of JAV videos, and a quick research reveals that these are two different JAV videos featuring the same actress, involving the same fetish. That being: male nipple teasing. Furthermore, it seems like these folders were illegally pirated copies of the JAV movies. This made the rounds on Japanese twitter, and the JAV actress who starred in these two videos, Matsumoto Ichika, tweeted at Lauren and asking him to actually buy the porn properly from FANZA next time.
