I was thinking something similar but it's by far the lowest watched Star Wars show on Disney+. If it's finale had 67% more viewers it still would be last. Only thing that gives me pause is would Kennedy want two of these on her record?

It wasn't just Willow that was removed though. It was part of a move to (allegedly) reduce the tax bill. The Acolyte will have a much larger impact on the platform that that show ever did.

 

. . . it's 2024 though, who's to say how it'll play out.  It is good to see that all of the major franchises appear to be doing some sort of "course correction".

Doubt it. If it can get views, it'll be there.  


But that is the thing, if it doesnt get enough views, with the super inflated cost it had to produce, I bet that is very tempting to remove it and write it off for tax purposes.

That's quite honestly the only reason why I would see it being removed (which is the same as why Willow was removed).

Yeah.
I think is safe to assume that the cost of the series and the terrible reception will prompt Disney to memory hole it, lol.

If they are even removing the merchandise, it is very likely that they didn't sell shit for it.

Don't have D+ any more but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Unfortunately it's getting "Solo'd", the previous product was so off putting that people aren't giving it a chance. Also can somone explain Andor's absurd budget? They've spent 645 millon for two seasons. Andor season 1 is the 5th most watched Star Wars show on D+. Mandolorian S1 is #1, Mando S2 is #2, Boba Fett is #3, Obi Wan is #4, and Mando S3 is #6. All these combined has a budget of $535 Million. I've heard nothing but good things about Andor but there is no way the viewership numbers justify that expense. Disney has to be laundering money. Some of these budgets are insane.

If I had to guess, they're on Paramount Plus now.

 

There's probably a deal in place that cycles the first four movies between both services.

Paramount Co produced the first four before Disney bought Indy/SW in 2012.

Makes sense, it stinks but I can undestand it. WB on the other hands has the rights to shows/movies that they've taken off Max... 😑

 Another show understands how to be a part of the galaxy rather than constantly referencing it. Easily in the top 3 post-Disney media outings thus far. 

Unfortunately the show got "Solo'd" because of The Acolyte. It sucks when something suffers because of another product's fuck up. Reminds me of The Guardians of the Galaxy game, it tanked because The Avengers dropped first and was trash.

Yup. Just like how Andor was trashed because of The Book of BS and the mediocre Kenobi.

I happened to watch Age of Adaline again and I'm stunned that they didn't get Anthony Ingruber to play Han Solo. It was a bigger miss than I remembered. How does some random movie go. "Hey this guy looks, sounds, and had the mannerisms of a young Harrison Ford, let cast him as young Harrison Ford"  and Disney go nope. The incompetence.

Edit: Just found out he body doubled for Harrison on Dial of Destiny. Maybe...should have I don't know. Had him play Han Solo in Solo...
