DoctaMario Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 When I listen to music lately, I've been listening to a lot of metal. Pantera, Manson, catching up on some of the Rob Zombie solo albums I haven't heard yet (he'll never be as good as White Zombie, but he's got a couple that are pretty close.) First thing I did when I left the hospital after visiting my grandma was cue up Pantera's 'Far Beyond Driven.' For some reason metal makes me feel better in a weird way. Metal is my genre of choice in most situations, but whenever i'm in a bad mood or feeling down i just put some metal on and i feel better. Its like the energy of the music just flows through me. DoctaMario Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 I've been trying to put on more music around the house when the boy child is up instead of watching Disney movies all the time and I've been putting this one on a lot lately. One of the greatest jazz albums of all time, I know it note for note, and I'm never not blown away when I hear it even to this day. Zx-Tole and Reticently 2 Quote
RegH81 Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Listening to the music to Tekken 4 while I do some writing and taking a break before I listen to this jam on repeat a few times before bed. Quote

Tekken has a lot of good music which really surprised me about it when I played it. Broke out the vinyl since we've been in the new house and have a bunch of Sinatra and Miles Davis which is good for morning listening. RegH81, Reticently and Zx-Tole 3 Quote

Zx-Tole Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 Got me an original vinyl press of Bolt Thrower's Warmaster, it's glorious. Also got me an original vinyl press of Candlemass' Tales of Creation Abbachio 1 Quote
Zx-Tole Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Time for me to flex again haha... got me a first press vinyl of witchfinder general's friends of hell. Sounds glorious even on my shitty set up (i'm a beginner record collector) and of course the album cover is comical to look at. Quote
Hecatom Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 [Verse 1] I am back here once again In the mist In the mist without sight I thought I fought my way back Now I'm afraid I'm afraid to lose hope Will I ever be the man In control In control of his world? Open wounds that will not heal Pull me back Pull me back inside [Pre-Chorus] And I I was always on the side Of conformities and pride Had no shelter from the rain And I I was always on the side So I kept my little lie To be safe from what may come [Verse 2] To be alone inside of my thoughts A state that I tend to avoid But if I can't get to them I think no one can Moving forward from the lens I'm afraid this is how I've become How can I sort it out When I don't even know what I'm looking for? If I only knew that at least I could deal with it I don't even have a plan On how to move forward from here [Pre-Chorus] And I I was always on the side Of conformities and pride Had no shelter from the rain I I was always on the side So I kept my little lie To be safe from what may come [Chorus] Oh, my life Is on hold In this moment There is nothing here but darkness My life is on hold It's on hold Until I figure this mess [Verse 3] I hold my breath and count to ten Maybe then It will all go away Distractions, strategies may work But only Only for so long [Pre-Chorus] And I I was always on the side Of conformities and pride Had no shelter from the rain I I was always on the side So I kept my little lie To be safe from what may come Come And I I was always on the side Of conformities and pride Had no shelter from the rain [Chorus] My life Is on hold In this moment There is nothing here but darkness My life is on hold It's on hold Until I figure this mess My life Is on hold In this moment There is nothing here but darkness My life is on hold It's on hold It's on hold Until I figure out this mess Quote

Darc_Requiem Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 (edited) Honestly the Youtube rabbit hole directed me to the Story of Adidon recently. That diss track was savage at release but it's even worse now. Pusha T shamed Drake into being a good father plus he never dropped a response. No, I don't believe the "Drake had a response but didn't release it because it was too savage" nonsense. Edited October 6, 2021 by Darc_Requiem Quote
