RegH81 Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 I just finished Tsundere Children. What a hilarious high school ROM-COM. Quote
RegH81 Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Baki the Grappler is a series I remember hearing about years ago, but never bothered to get into. I think I added it to my watch list on Netflix but still haven't gotten around to it. So imagine my surprise when I go into my Books a Million and see the first two volumes of Baki for $20 each. Apparently this is the first time the manga has ever gotten an official English release. I read the first chapter before going into work and I'm really liking what I'm seeing. The round art style, the impact from each hit in the panels. It's really good stuff. I have never felt so badly for side characters than I did those poor saps that were holding a bag for Suedo. A few pages ago, this dude destroyed a plastic bottle with one kick. And as powerful as this Suedo is, I cannot wait to see him get packed up in the following chapter (s). I think I'm really, really, reeaaaallly gonna like Baki the Grappler. DangerousJ 1 Quote
DangerousJ Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 For those fond of the Project A-ko anime series, all 4 films are coming in 1 complete collection with the first film in 4k and the others in 1080p from Discotek Media. RegH81 and Darc_Requiem 2 Quote
RegH81 Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 I'm about half way through vol. 1 of Baki the Grappler. ---- Decided to give My Dress Up Darling a watch. I made it through season 1. I love the heavy focus on cos-play and the two MCs are super adorable. I also love how more ROM-COMs are having MCs realize they like/love the other MC sooner rather than later. I've seen it happening in a lot of slice of life, ROM-COM stuff over the past several years. And gyat dang does Marin have it bad for Gojo. It's hilarious watching her become all flustered at times. Girl clearly wants to marry Gojo and have his babies. Reticently 1 Quote
MillionX Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Solo Leveling is out on blu-ray, as I've seen at Walmart stores recently... I didn't think it would happen in this sad modern era of physical media slowly dying...but it's out there if you want it. ...of course at a fairly silly price of 40 bucks, but yep it was worth it for me, considering the circumstances of this era where it should no longer be taken for granted that you can easily find something on blu-ray/dvd/etc. RegH81 1 Quote
