I thought I would give Fire Force a watch to see what I think. I love how Shinra keeps changing his name depending on who he's fighting. The way the series goes about putting out "fires" and the religious tones have me  hooked in the early episodes. I might pick up the omnibus editions of the manga since they are already finished once I watch all the anime.

 

Delicious in Dungeon. Holy balls that Red Dragon fight was AWESOME. The build up to this fight after a dozen episodes was sooooo worth it.

I finished season 4 of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Man, it was so dang good. I was not expecting a story arc where the party gets separated and two of the cast are struggling through the dungeon on what looks like very little health. Bell even got that DBZ first Broly Movie treatment. That is to say, he was on 10 HP, got a Senzu Bean and was back up to fight again, only to get slapped back down to 10 HP. From then on, Bell and Ryuu were moving through the hardest floors of the dungeon with very little in the way of items. Four seasons in and Ryuu caught feelings for Bell. It is sweet and hilarious watching this BAMF stoic warrior turn into a puddle as she wrestles with a feeling she doesn't understand but it so painfully obvious to any outside observer.

In the spirit of the month, I've decided to start some of my horror themed manga. I've had the perfect editions of Cat Boy for a long while now. Time to finally give them a read along with my first three volumes of Parasyte Full Color hardcovers.

Well the tweet sums it up, she's a barely named dropped individual. She wasn't "ignored" by Tolkien, she's just not a character. She's a person who exists but that's it. 

 

I'm for this kind of expansion and adaptation personally, she has 0 character so there's 0 for them to fuck up when adapting her. 

 

Anime looks pretty cool I might watch this.

I've been watching Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki. I'm almost done with season 2 and I have to say, I've been enjoying it more than I thought I would. Yeah, it is another high school slice of life anime, but I like how it relates gaming terms to real life situations. The best  Super Smash Bros. Super Attack Families player in Japan being a mega introvert is super relatable. The main female leads is a bit too pushy and that can kinda make her come off as a control freak, but there are plenty of other cute female fast members to root for

It's a shame that this show Bastard!! just kinda went downhill for me... I was absolutely loving it in season 1, but season 2 just seemed to drag its ass as things went on.  There's just some things about it that was a downgrade from when it was a fresh thing I was watching in season 1.  

 

...and again I'm realizing that perhaps my patience for the silly "comedic relief" moments in your average popular anime show has just worn thin these days.  I just want cool action and fight scenes, really.  The goofy bits in between in these shows seems like such a waste of valuable screen time.  Demon Slayer has been especially annoying with this, at least to me.

 

One that *hasn't* been doing that so much now that I think of it is the current era of Bleach though... so far it's been probably 98% action and cool stuff going on with every episode, and it makes sense within the world since some potentially world-ending shit is going on with the current situation....no real time for goofball antics and sight gags.

I've recently watched FMAB for the first time and the constant swings from serious lines to comedy and back is extremely annoying. There's almost zero restraint or balance between the two

I'm nearing the end of Love Flops. I was expecting a rom com.

With the amount of AI there is in the show, I should have caught on sooner. My feels got cooked.
