Would be ok with it but dude needs to eat a lot more to fit the role lol

Seriously, you need to stop with this.

Real actors are never going to have the unrealistic proportions of SF characters.

And if they did, they wouldn't be able to move for shit.  Which would make for a real shitty martial arts movie.

We are not talking Sagat or T.Hawk here. It's Honda. Some members of the SF cast aren't that hard to find a reasonably accurate real life equivalent. Honda is not one of those.

it's the sumo guy, he does'n need to do backflips*, he's supposed to have some big belly

if you see this

and think "we have Honda done right", i want your weed 😂

Honda's physique is'nt even THAT extreme for SF standards, as he's supposed to be a not gigantic sumo wrestler even for real world, 6'1"(185 cm) for 302 lbs/137kg... actor could be even smaller than that but still dude need some classic sumo look/belly lol

For what's worth, sumo wrestlers are athletic af and for Honda all you need would be actor be able throw fast palms and good explosive ramming tackle, two things common for them

If anything issue would be legit sumo wrestler would not accept play as Honda in a movie, so it's ok if they go for a pro wresteler

*and btw😂

Takayama went on BlueSky today to drop some lore & info on Rashid, Luke, Jamie, and JP. I'm posting both the original posts and the Google Translate estimate verbatim, so if anyone is knowledgeable or fluent in Japanese, feel free to provide a more accurate translation.

RASHID

Today, while eating at a local Chinese restaurant, I passionately explained why Street Fighter V's protagonist is now young 🌪️ One of the reasons was an order from my boss to "create a character that can appeal to the Middle Eastern market," but I didn't like the casual suggestion, so I thought, "If I'm going to do it, I want to make him a proper protagonist!" and did it on my own. His clothes are pure white to contrast with Ryu. Just like Luke, I wanted him to keep pace with the people who start playing the game with me, and I wanted the character to grow together with them. In Street Fighter 6, I wanted to make Rashid a good older brother who has gone through the General Story 🌪️

LUKE

Luke's name comes from "rookie". I wanted people to start the game with Luke. I started with Luke and tried controlling various characters, but the concept was that if you play a lot, you'll realize that Luke is really fun, but I don't know if that's actually the case 😉 I hope it is.

MY OWN THOUGHTS: It's funny that Luke, like Rook, is cool backwards as well, and given that they're fans of Ingrid, I still can't help but think Rook may have had just a BIT of an unintentional influence on Luke's design, deny it all they want.  But that's just my opinion, they say they didn't, so that's what we go by.

JAMIE

[About Grandma]
Although she is over 90 years old, she is still energetic and continues to collect medicinal herbs in the mountains of her hometown. In her youth, she was known as the "Female Immortal of Cloud Spirit Mountain," but now she is a small, smiling grandma.
When Jamie was first placed in her care, he was in the midst of a rebellious phase and stubborn...
But as he was touched by the strength hidden within his gentle grandmother, he gradually opened up to her.
Grandma saw Jamie's natural talent and taught him all of her skills as his first and last apprentice.
It was also Grandma who told Jamie, who spent his days fighting on the streets without anyone to teach him, that he couldn't survive alone and the importance of friends.
Jamie calls his grandmother "Grandma" and adores her.

When he was young, his grandmother would travel across mainland China on adventures, stalking bandits and wreaking havoc with her companions.
Through stories like these, Jamie learned the importance of companions.

JP Part 1

Image

[JP's Habit ①]
He opens his mouth with a pretentious, friendly "Oh."
"Oh, what a coincidence."
"Oh, that must be troubling."
But he doesn't put much emotion into it... he doesn't sound happy to meet someone by chance, or worried about them in trouble.
This is one of JP's few habits, and it's an unconscious manifestation...
In fact, by taking his time to speak with "Oh," he buys a gap so he can smoothly tell the perfect lie for the situation.
Basically everything JP says is a lie, but when he says "Oh," it sounds even more fake.

JP Part 2

[JP's Habits 2]
So...?
Maybe...?
Ask questions at a time that catches the other person off guard and takes control of the conversation.
"Isn't it the same whether you're alive or not?"
"Love is just another way of saying selection and exclusion, isn't it?"
He has no intention of continuing the conversation, and doesn't particularly want an answer.
He asks questions that are not outrageous, but that make sense if you think about it carefully.
This is a technique to control the other person's thinking by making them think for even just a moment.

JP Part 3

Image

[JP's habit ③]
Suddenly, they start talking about trivia that is unrelated at first glance to the situation.
"If you compress all the human bodies on the planet
It looks like it can fit in a ball with a diameter of 1km."
Just like asking questions, it's a technique that steals your thoughts.
