¹ The standard sumō palm strike. It’s not technically a slap (see Honda’s Hyakuretsu harite often translated as “100 hand slap”).
² Sumō’s name for the head/shoulder block, often done at the start of a match. In Japanese pro wrestling is used as an alternative name for the regular Shoulder Block if executed by a former sumō wrestler like Takeshi Rikiō.

As my previous avatar was in memory of the late writer Terry Pratchett (it was Tiffany, my favourite amongst his characters), this is Anne Shirley from Akage no An (Anne of Green Gables), in memory of its director Isao Takahata recently passed away. That series is a masterpiece, even better than the original novel.

The "G" stands for "Great".

but as he doesn't pay attention to his money he usually ends up skint in no time.

 

 

¹ Standard name for the running frontal kick, aka "Running Big Boot". Its original name was Yakuza kick (because it was used by Masahiro Chōno, who played the part of a yakuza man), but, because of the Japanese tv censorship, it was changed into the neutered kenka, "brawl".

They put all this work into giving profiles for all these side characters...too bad SF lore is so boring and nothing will ever be done with them... =/

They have to start somewhere. Honestly I find the work they are doing at CFN to be encouraging. The character profile are a nice way to build out the Street Fighter world. The side stories do a good job of giving insight into the characters personalities. What Capcom needs to do is make the lore from CFN accessible in SFV. It's something they've already created and it increases the casual appeal. Despite what pros and EH commenters think, they are a lot of people that like Street Fighter for the lore.
