Genghis_Dong Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 (edited) Think I got everything I need to front mount my intercooler. Its going to be a bitch and a half to do. After that's in bigger turbo and everything else gets dropped in and off to the dyno. Hoping I don't have to butcher the bumper too much. Edited October 5, 2021 by Genghis_Dong Quote
Darc_Requiem Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 @VhoziteNot trying to pry but what's your price range? The Infinity Q60 is an AWD drive coupe. Since you like the 370Z, it could be an option. It's got the same 3.7 V6 in some trims. Vhozite and OPTIMUS124 2 Quote

I like the new (like 2019+ I think) look of the Charger too. Not sure what your budget is, but the V6 is a pretty snappy engine. In the Mopar Community you have asshats who shame people who get the V6 version of the car. The only time shame is applicable is when you upbadge (e.g., Hellcat badges and vinyl when you have a 3.6L under the hood). 41 minutes ago, Darc_Requiem said: Thank you all for making me forget I'm an old codger that drives luxury cruiser for a few hours We're at that age now where road feel is less a feature and more of a nuisance 🤣. 35 minutes ago, Genghis_Dong said: Think I got everything I need to front mount my intercooler. It’s annoying because for every one of these you see listed there is like 30 of the Q50 (the 4 door). I do really like these though. @OPTIMUS124yeah I’ve heard mixed things about the dodge v6 (pentastar?) engine. Idc what other people think but I would prefer a v8 if I’m driving a 4000 lb car like the challenger. Edited October 5, 2021 by Vhozite OPTIMUS124 1 Quote

It's not "bad" but if you are going to drive a 2 ton land yacht, you are better off with a v8 HEMI. Think about it, that platform has practically remained unchanged since 2003. The only real changes have been VVT (08) and a supercharger with adjustments to internal materials and displacement. From 2011 - 2020. Its insane to see how fast cars have gotten. Also, there are rumors that Dodge is going to make the Hellcat versions of the Charger and Challengers have an AWD switch. This is likely due to the Trackhawk and Durango being discontinued. Powerful car, but rubber doesn't meet the road at launch. This would fix that. It'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers that car would put down with that change. They offered that combo on the old chargers until like 2014 but that had the old 5speed auto. Quote

If that were true about limitations, the GT AWD wouldn't exist. Vhozite 1 Quote

OPTIMUS124 Posted October 5, 2021 Posted October 5, 2021 (edited) This channel is mainly Mopar but offers some really good advice for a few builds. He was a former Chrysler Tech for several years and decided to step out on his own. Reignited - Cycle and Automotive https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp-nhl9hSvsrPLCZf9VtOrw He does a "ask a tech" series and offers a ton of information during those vids. Again, primarily MOPAR. Two of the big ones for me were the Cheap hemi project challenge and a 5.7L Cam swap how-to . Edited October 5, 2021 by OPTIMUS124 Genghis_Dong and Darc_Requiem 1 1 Quote
globe Posted October 6, 2021 Posted October 6, 2021 My brother told me that people don't buy grey sedans, they are given one. I looked at my Sentra and had to agree. DoctaMario and Darc_Requiem 2 Quote
