Chadouken
I missed the end of the game last night and didn't realize Love got hurt. Man, that looked pretty bad. His knee popped, MCL maybe? And his ankle was twisted and crushed. Fuck, man. Hope it's only minor and he recovers soon, but I'm expecting his season is over. Quote Link to comment

I really thought the Packers played well and could have taken the win, but Barkley decided that the Hall of Fame would be incomplete without him and turned into The Incredible BULK. Absolute monster. The Bears should be fine, but I hope they really didn't think that CJ Stroud wasn't a outlier and was the new standard if you pair a rookie QB with some talent. I am not saying he isn't going to get better but it will take time to get used to this type of competition. Quote Link to comment

Scanman
What do people think of: 1) Justin Fields starting for the Steelers? and 2) Rumours that Jameis might replace Watson after game 2? I've wanted to see Fields play for a non-shitty organization for a long time. Giving Watson $260 million guaranteed and then benching him for journeyman Jameis Winston might be the most Browns thing ever. Quote Link to comment
Darc_Requiem
1)If Fields can keep the turnovers to a minimum Pittsburgh is a good place for him. Russell Wilson nearing the end of his career. So they'd rather have Justin take the reigns if possible. He most certainly has the most upside. He just needs to be consistent. 2)The situation around Watson is on the craziest falls from grace I've seen. Watson was one the best young QBs in the leauge. He had a good reputation. I live in Clemson/USC (South Carolina) country. I never heard anything shady about the dude. If something was going down the USC fans would have been quick to say something if only to toss it int he face of Clemson fans. Then this massage stuff comes out and everything comes off the rails. Dude clearly has issues but I figured his play on the field would get it swept under the rug but nope. Dude has been playing like he was in Space Jam and the Monstars stole his talent. That bomb he threw to Jefferson was one of the best passes I've ever seen. It reminded me of a bomb that Randall Cunningham through to Fred Barnett back in the day. It's not quite that level but that pass was a thing of beauty. Edited September 16 by Darc_Requiem intimigator 1 Quote Link to comment
Scanman
Rams got blasted by the Cardinals. Oof. It might be a long season. Puka's already out a month, and now Kupp is in a walking boot. Not to mention half the O-line is/was injured. ---------------------- In other news, Deshaun Watson probably quieted rumors of being replaced by Jameis Winston, at least for 1 more week. A win is a win. --------------------- Justin Fields wins again! It's not pretty, but it's good seeing him in an organization that's not actively detrimental to him (looking at you, Matt Nagy!). Darc_Requiem
So everyone in the NFC East lost but Washington. So Washington is leading the division. Didn't have that on my bingo card. Between that and Kirk Cousins winning in prime time. I need to buy a lottery ticket. Quote Link to comment
Scanman
They're first by technicality, sure, but I'd still put them as a bottom-5 team in the conference. Bigger news is that Pittsburgh is somehow leading the AFC North, the Chargers are (technically) leading the AFC West, and Seattle is leading the NFC West. The AFC South is back to being the NFL's tune-up games. Wild first 2 weeks. intimigator 1 Quote Link to comment

I was surprised how fast the fans came back after "He who shall not be named" sold the team. The schedule said this was an away game, the crowd said it was a home game. For Skins fans to travel all the way to Arizona, that's prime fandom behavior. Quote Link to comment
