A lot of hardcore pro-wrestling fans know. It his WWF run, they were always stories of how Kurt Angle bodying everyone in the locker room in actual wrestling. The only person that could give him any sort of challenge was Lesnar and Paul Wight. Paul Wight was just soo damned strong, I remember Angle remaking that if he was trained in the proper technique he'd be damn near unstoppable. Edited June 2, 2023 by Darc_Requiem Quote

Yet here we are... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-12299445/Conor-McGregor-called-Wembley-showdown-Usyk-light-Fury-vs-Ngannou-announcement.html Don't know how that's gonna happen. Is Usyk going to cut like 30 pounds? He was joking. He was mocking Fury for fighting Ngannou instead of him. It says it in the article you linked. Quote

Darc_Requiem Posted October 29, 2023 Author Posted October 29, 2023 Did anyone else watch Fury vs. Ngannou? I was expecting Fury to cook a fish out of water Ngannou. I've never been happier to be wrong. Ngannou was tactical. He dropped Fury. And, most surprisingly. He had Fury gassing first. For all the talk of Ngannou possibly using some MMA tactics. It was Fury that actually landed an elbow that official missed. He kept initiating the clinch, which I thought was a bad idea, and it was. Ngannou had the advantage their. All respect in the world to Francis. He arguably won the fight. Dana White during the fight... Francis didn't fumble the bag, Dana did. Instead of getting a cut of this fight, like the UFC got with Conors, he got zilch. Francis is going to get other boxing fights after this and the UFC could have been getting their cut. Quote
Darc_Requiem Posted October 30, 2023 Author Posted October 30, 2023 Supposedly, the WBC is going to rank Francis at #10. If that's true, he'd qualify for an actual title fight in the rematch. Quote

Jion_Wansu Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Francis Ngannou is like Little Mac fighting against Anthony Joshua's Mike Tyson So you know that Tyson Fury has no chance against Oleksander Usyk. That's why Fury keeps delaying, delaying, delaying. Let's look at facts. Joshua lost to Usyk twice. Ngannou almost beat Fury. Joshua squashed Ngannou. What chance does Fury have? If Fury beats Usyk then Joshua will certainly squash Fury!!! Oh, and maybe, just maybe, Mike Tyson will squash Jake Paul like Little Mac (wishful thinking, I know)!!! Quote

He’s truly the greatest, if not simply one of them. He’s in my top 3, and he should be in yours too. Now, the previous generation’s greatest fighters are down one. Only Jon Jones remains. Soon, he will be gone too, and I expect Alex Pereira to step up and take that role. Quote

Darc_Requiem Posted November 22, 2024 Author Posted November 22, 2024 Yet another thing that makes me feel old. Sakuraba's son is making his MMA debut. He's definitely his father's son because the guy he is fighting is 27-14 and was a Featherweight champion at Shooto. Debuting against a guy with 41 profights and two titles in his career is insane. That's the type of fight that would only get sanctioned on reservations or in Texas in the US.
