I like Lily design, even if i liked much more the more stereotype first version of original cocept art (was more 90s anime rather than "we should be concerned about american social media feels") and feels last version we seen have strange/worse face compared to debut trailer (or maybe i remember wrong), but still good.

It's also cool she links with T.Hawk and the fact her style is weapon based making her more unique

Overall she feels one of the most "SF" of new characters, great addition

 

Said all that i have to concede can't shake the impression Capcom with her is doing bit like Namco feeding part of the SC Talim crowd (all while Lily herself being in good part a SC Talim rip-off) lol

I went on a small back and forth with that. I don't' think they're puritanical, they just are significantly less wiling to suffer bullshit. The whole lolicon and the Disgaea "well i look like a 9 year old in a thong but I'm actually 6,000 years old" bullshit they are just not letting slide.

 

Same with the skullgirls "Lemme make a thick broad showing panties 24/7, make her 16 and then accuse others of sexualizing the character that gets felt up by a stranger in the story mode".

 

Outside of ethnic features specific to her, Lily doesn't look that much different than a lot of broads in my city come the summer time. So i'm pretty sure she's closer to early 20s than she is gonna be her teens.

Fair enough. I can't disagree with you there. I'm not a fan of lolicon dumb/agreeable female characters. I dislike Lily for the same reasons as say Menat, where we went from the stoic. older, and badass master (Hawk/Rose)  to the puerile progeny (Lily/Menat).

I'm just seeing this pattern across fighting games where they want everyone to cover up but especially females, and it's not necessarily the women who ask for it but the men. It's very strange to me.

I remember reading a study suggesting that most Gen Zers are significantly less sexually active then Gen Y and X. I bet it's all related.

An annoying development I've seen growing on the internet is seeing pedophilia and accusing people of pedophilia everywhere and over anything, to the point it basically became just another buzzword to me. It's not a video game or entertainment industry problem either, because you see it thrown around in politics constantly too nowadays.

 

I think one of the highlights of that however is still Jason Schreier's awful takes on Dragon's Crown back in 2014, when he thought the Sorceress was pedo bait.

You that character whose main and most important feature were her comically large tits? Yeah, clearly a child in Jason's mind.

 

At least this one was funny.

Literally just had a conversation about my small midwest hometown that so many restaurants are closing down, but not because of newer ones replacing them or because of bad economy, it's because they can't find workers.   The younger gen won't suffer bullshit in menial jobs either it seems.    Good on them, i guess.

Yeah i read that too, though it may be because the dating scene is kinda messed up rn.  Not because of puritanical choices.

Man I really like Cammy’s SF6 look her outfit is very close to how I’ve imagined her to look in civilian clothes. Gameplay wise idk if she’s my bag but since we have the character specific ranks maybe she can be a sub.

 

Trying not to commit to too many characters on day -26 lol. I want to play at least one DLC character to keep things fresh but I also don’t want to stunt my growth by switching too much like I did in SFV.

Yeah my short list rn is Manon, Cammy, Lily, and I’ll be checking out Akuma and AKI as DLC for sure.

 

I was originally interested in Marisa but gameplay vids I’ve seen haven’t moved me.

Marisa is still the most interesting to me, that really hasn't changed. I did really like Kim in the beta though. I'm pretty bad at learning more than one character so I'll probably stick with Marisa for a while tho. 

 

Dang the previous months flew by but now we're in the final month before launch the time is draaaaaaaaging

After watching @EvilCanadian's video I'm convinced Marisa will be the onlinest of online characters since SFIV Blanka. Just blow through everything and be plus on block until you hit Diamond or something and people start parrying.

 

She'll most likely be the reason I'd eventually end up having JP as a sub character after all. Still no clue who to main though. I'd like to play Manon for the looks but I don't really think her gameplay aligns with what I'm looking for in a character.

Cool seeing who everybody is leaning towards I’m really hoping we get another beta with the full cast and at least training mode unlocked. 
 

So far only deejay and Honda have my attention but it’s still early so we’ll see. zangief is a honorable mention but I almost want to give grapplers a break since I’m noticing I almost always gravitate to them them even though I don’t consider myself a grappler specialist ( usually grappler hybrid ).

Digital. I ordered the game on PC. The way the disc was handled with SFV makes the disc version pointless. They'll probably just put the base game on the disc and include digital codes for the DLC in future "physical" versions of the game. I don't even think the Asia region version of Champion Edition had the whole game on the disc.

Maybe you'll get lucky and Capcom will still my idea on how to bring Nash back. 😉 All jokes a side, that's a solid three. I wouldn't mind seeing them back. There a few characters, not necessarily ones I played, that I'd like back. Zeku and Menat come to immediate mind.

True, but that way the Chun-Li breast jiggle glitch managed to survive through the times. Imagine if they ever nerf Gief's jiggly buttocks in SF6. Having the game on disc is the only way to gain access to him in all his glory.

I'm looking forward to Menat being dead and buried. Outside of that I kinda don't care. Roster is what the roster is. Plenty of characters I like are locked into certain games so its w/e. I wasn't expecting to play Zeku for as long as I did. Same with Rolento in SF4, Giovanna in GGST etc. I'm pretty big on picking what feels good to me in that one game.

The way I wrote it. Nash wasn't even in SFV. It was Eleven and it thought it was Nash. Helen/Kolin didn't have enough time to resurrect Nash the way she wanted. So she improvised with Urien's prototype for Eleven.

Which stages that are unique to SF5 would you like to be remade again?

I don’t really care about costumes so I’ll pick 2 stages

 

[s]King’s Court and Temple Hideout are by far my favorite stages. Beautiful backdrops for a fight without being too busy.[/s]

 

Those aren’t unique to SFV lol ig I’ll say union station
