Preference of traditional and RPG fighting game modes

I'd like to know which fighting style you prefer.

 

Do you prefer traditional fighting games (Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat etc.) or RPG fights (The Witcher, Final Fantasy, Asassins Creed etc.) ?

 

I am building currently a game consisting of a mix of trading card games and fighting games. I am curious about how to setup the fighting system. Your opinions would help me to get an understanding which fight mode to choose for the game. Thanks in advance!
