  1. Unrelated to this chapter I had a revelation the other day while reading up on Norse mythology. I read about the god Tyr, who lost his arm (to Fenrir), and is the Norse god of justice, war and a guarantor of good faith. Amongst the Vikings he was evoked when making deals and treaties to show said good faith. In addition to pirate history, Oda is a big fan of Norse mythology due to growing up being inspired by a Viking cartoon growing up. As we've seen with Shanks— he lost an arm, and seems to be always taking a more diplomatic approach with his enemies, to the point where even the very Gorosei weren't worried bringing him amongst them. I'm getting the strong impression Oda loosely based Shanks off Tyr and his presence in the story is meant to mirror his fate. I get the feeling that Shanks ascent to Yonko-dom was based on an oath rather than a desire for power, one he took so seriously (likely after the reveal of "Laugh's Tale"/ One Piece) that made his goal after Roger's death to usher in the New Age that will fulfill the "Will of D". I guess I should also note that in the end of Tyr's story he loses his life slaying a hellhound in battle during Ragnarok. Hmm...
  2. https://onepiecechapters.com/manga/one-piece-chapter-1010/ I'm not even going to say anything, just read...
  3. After years of being called the Jobber Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates my dude Marco finally gets some serious shine! Dude out here performing some very advanced-looking techniques while styling on 2 Yonko commanders. So some interesting things I've noticed these last 2 chapters... 1. Sanji being unable to use armament haki to preotect himself from Black Maria's blows since haki is literally willpower he can't "will" himself to use it. Personally, I think Sanji's backwards chivalry is nonsensical but I've accepted it over the year. And just so you guys know from a cultural angle, many Japanese women find Sanji's whole schtick of being a gentleman chef attractive so I guess it has its specific cultural appeal. 2. Hyogoro accessing his younger, stronger form through the virus putting him through the wringer seems to be continuing theme with. Doflamingo crewmember Lao G was also able to access his full youthful power using his Jio-ken style. 3. It seems there's a limit to Marco's regenerative abilities since he's showing signs of bleeding and fatigue. I wonder if this Devil Fruit also has that unique side effect of draining the user's life force if used too much a la Law's Ope Ope no mi? 4. Black Maria's devil fruit is unusual, and it's interesting that she can sprout webbing from her fingers. Hm... I wonder if the spider is actually the true "Black Maria" and the female body is simply and attractive marionette to deceive enemies? 5. The animal/ tech? surveillance network that is being used is quite useful. One of the Strawhats like Stealth Black Sanji or Franky needs to deal with it. I can't tell if it's Queen's work or a DF ability yet...
  4. Oh I'm here bro, I wouldn't miss this for the world! https://w11.mangafreak.net/Read1_One_Piece_1000 Thank you Eiichiro Oda for this epic series. All these hundreds of characters, hundreds of colorwalks, tens of thousands of panels, and countless unforgettable moments. I don't know how much of this story is left, but I'm planning on rolling with it 'til the end.
  5. The best part about that moment was that it was a nameless Shishi Sonson. He didn't need to invoke it, the same way Mihawk doesn't say any named attacks. Also if you notice in the panels, he was observing the situation while casually avoiding one of the ice zombies in just 2 panels. That scene reminded me of Rayleigh at the slave auction. Also, it's obvious that the fake Conquerors Haki moment is just foreshadowing that Zoro will probably display a true version soon. What a display of power by Kaido. This further reinforces my belief that Kaido's natural state is his dragon form and he's actually a "living" Devil Fruit possessing someone or something. *poneglyph* Oh and glad to be back!
  6. Check out Big Jah's videos on YouTube, she's in a few of them and as stacked as ever.
  7. Damn you know you're getting old when you get stationeries and home decor for your birthday... and you're actually not disappointed.
  8. Ah I saw that one on discord, hi-larious. I was watching a YouTube vid about superheroes who hold back their powers, but I was surprisingly distracted by this svelte geeky girl hosting: Her name is Sasha Wood and while she's "unconventional" there's something about her that I really like. @MillionX Your thoughts?
  9. What was here? In some hilariously good news Gilette lost a staggering 8 billion dollars in revenue due to their "toxic masculinity" ad campaign. It's a shame that the parent company Proctor & Gamble makes practically every household product you can think of, but regardless it's still nice to see how men voted with their wallet. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/gillette-ceo-8-billion-loss-is-price-worth-paying-over-metoo-campaign%3f_amp=true ZEHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Edit: damn late to the party again (-_-)
  10. @DangerousJ YouTube algorithm finally did something right: I forgot what the verdict on the phone was...
  11. Wow I don't even see any blurring or distortions on that booty, it's the real thing. She legit got a golden ratio booty!
  12. The bias is real. Taller men earn more, are perceived to be more intelligent and have easier access to positions of power regardless of their competency. Oh and women prefer tall men without even filtering their disgust when approached by an unsuccessful short man. 19 out of 44 of the US Presidents were 6ft or taller and even those who shorter were still slightly under 6 feet and much taller than the average man for their time. Back in the day if you were 5'8" or over you were considered tall, which really puts things in perspective when we visualize how the world looked back then. For example when 6'2" George Washington was President the average height for a man in the 1700s was 5'5". So imagine how imposing he looked during that era. To put things in even more historical perspective the average height for a man in ancient Greece was 5'3". So basically all those epic battles we fantasized about with Spartans vs Persians etc. were fought by what would be today's middle schoolers. Imagine if we gave The Rock or Shaq a time machine?!🤣
  13. Hey you guys were talking about heightism? This pretty video much covers it:
  14. Look how much effort Dela Hoya is making trying to not stare: Her name is Adriana Jimenez BTW: https://twitter.com/Adriana_Sports/status/993028645928058880 The twitter link isn't embedding but it's worth a click. 😉
  15. Hey how do you post articles here instead of just showing links?
  16. Keanu out here dodging bullets: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-7125331/Fans-notice-Keanu-Reeves-rarely-touches-women-takes-photos-with.html?ico=amp-comments-viewall#article-7125331 "Fuckouttahere hos!"
  17. Oh gawd what did Famke do to her face?! Sometimes aging gracefully is the better decision. It's better to look middle aged than a 35 year old lizard person.
  18. Back in the 90s I always thought Ving Rhames would've been a great Panthro if they decided to make a live action Thundercat movie.
  19. This reminds me of this pasty, pencil-neck, Xtian white kid I met at church meeting who went to Venezuela on a mission trip and "converted" and married a girl there that happened to look like a freakin' Miss World contestant. I was floored when she sat next to him. Like this level of hotness: He was extolling the virtues of his expedition to save souls and thanking God for his "blessings" with a shit-eating grin on his face. The mofo looked like a character from The Wild Thornberrys and knew he got her pretty ass locked down with religious guilt x green card combo.
