My attempt at Rose in character creation.

I would like to play Street Fighter 6. Lily looks fun. Cammy looks fun. Zangief looks fun to watch highlight reels of.

Blanka ball does a full drive segment of chip damage. Someone at Capcom has to answer for this.

DeeJay looks super fun. He just straight up throws two fireballs without meter, and can fake them whenever he wants. That sway move looks like a solid auto-shimmy as well.

I don't know what my favorite part of that was, but it might be Manon's neutral jump animation at about :59 seconds. Marisa looks like a menace on the best way,

I still play maybe every other weekend or so with friends. Playing vs strangers has always left me unreasonably stressed so I quit ranked hard once I hit gold and got the trophy for the PlayStation platinum. I still enjoy it a lot, especially with Rose in her current state, and I'd be down to play folks here. I've never had the connection issues I see some people rage about so often, excluding the occasional Mexican Ken player you run into.

I feel like I understand less about how these characters are supposed to be played than I did before watching those matches.

I truly love that they're just completely glossing over Honda, Dhalsim and Blanka. It's like they understand what those characters really are and want to make sure SF6 keeps its best foot forward by pretending they don't exist for as long as possible.

The music in the Battle Hub is so damn chill. I never noticed it before with streamers blabbing over it but I just want to hang out in here and look at the monstrosities people have created. Myself, I made a girl Dee Jay, as is the fashion of Street Fighter these days.

Probably the best Chun Li gameplay I've seen so far.

Ok JP's special moves look right up my alley, but I'm gonna need to see how those neutral buttons are. If he's got some Falke-like pokes with that cane I'll play him. Though there's a high likelihood I'll just use character creation to make Rose and give her JPs moveset. Also I made it into the beta 🥳

All SF6 would need for me to pre order is a good VS mode. It definitely has that. All the extra stuff is icing on the cake.

There's a very strong possibility that Lilly will be able to fly around the screen even more so than T-Hawk. If so, she will probably earn the crown of Queen Degenerate Grappler in this game. And I, for one, am here for it.

So looks like he's got a low, an overhead, a dash, a dash-fake, or just nothing. That's pretty cool. You can't just parry the low/overhead mix because he could just dash in and throw you. This move at least is certainly not a charge.

At 0:19 seconds Dee Jay does a fakeout fireball. Dude gonna be baiting out jumps and Drive Impacts like crazy.

From the blog post, about Dee Jay: "His new move Jus Cool is a retreating sway that can lead into kicking attacks or forward-moving maneuvers that will test his opponent’s tempo." So he does have some kind of tricky sway fakeout move. Neat.

All those characters look fantastic. Manon might be the best animated character of the game so far though.

I wonder why they even feel they need another closed beta. It seems like things ran fairly smoothly, as far as betas are concerned. You'd think if they were going to do another beta it would be an open one to stress test with larger crowds.

A few days back, the Japanese Street Fighter twitter had a 4 hour live video of some dude drawing Cammy. I figured that was a sure sign of a Cammy reveal soon, but nothing yet.

Then there's Laura, who checks all of those boxes. Laura for DLC, please.

Before we moved off GoT, since I was at work and unable to post, I just want to say my biggest gripe with the show is how they ended Jaime Lannister's story. Jaime in the books is my favorite fictional character in any story, book or film. The tale of a man who has been reviled throughout the realm for fifteen years and embraced it as his fate, loses his entire identity through his disfigurement. He then decides to find and restore his honor, not to impress anyone, but just for himself, and breaks away from his harmful family to see if he can actually bring some order and justice to the world for once. In the show, I enjoyed the performance by the actor the whole way through, but it really seems like the writers really gave up on his character after they ran out of source material. His story in books 3-5 is so internal and thoughtful that it seems like they just couldn't be bothered in seasons 6-8. They just completely undid his development and reverted him back to where he started, except with a more sympathetic perspective. The way his story ended in season 8 was absolutely pathetic. Anyway. Hope there's a new Street Fighter trailer soon.

Rose too strongk to be killed. Unlike those other dead weakling characters. Listening to that audio for the Dee Jay portion, a few observations: There's definite references to Air Slasher (his fireball), Sobat, Machine Upper and Jackknife Maximum (his flash kick), so it's safe to say those specials are returning. There's also a lot of mentions of maracas, which could be just a super attack like his Ultra 2, or maybe it's some new install where he busts those out and uses them as weapons. What I find most interesting is several times Vicious calls out a "feint", a "fake out" and a "sway." Does Dee Jay have some kind of new dodge/feint moves to evade attacks and fake people out? It would fit him. Vicious also says the line "overhead breaks the rhythm and shakes things up." So does Dee Jay finally have an overhead attack? Sick. Finally, it sounds like there's some kind of rhythm button-matching mini game built into one of his supers, Sunrise Festival. Could score extra damage on the attack, perhaps.
