  1. Nope these are the screw in. I'm talking about the tabs that keep the plunger in. The plastic on the metallic buttons is CLEARLY cheaper than the solid ones. I got some black buttons and pink metallic buttons, and popping the plungers off the black one is easy and none of them break, but the metallic ones, like over half of them have a broken tab lol. It kind of makes sense though because the metallic one is thinner because there is paint on it, which then makes the plastic as thick as the solid colored ones that are just molded in their color.
  2. That is a solid teaser. They need to do a slow drip of content like to build hype until the release. I wonder if a stage similar to that background will be coming too.
  3. Yah I mean I know a lot of people who also did/do coke (and I steer clear of it - only ever smoked weed as far as drugs go but that has been like nearly 2 decades at this point) but they are functional and have good jobs and aren't going to scam you. I do wonder what the extent of his usage was though but based on what they said, he was pretty into it. And it's not a cheap drug as far as I know too. But man, the way he was strung along the whole time and for that long, and the fact that Dieminion didn't realize that for $3k he could have EASILY found a monster PC elsewhere, is a lesson learned for him for sure. I mean when he said his budget for a powerful PC and 3 monitors was $10k, that was nuts. You could get that for A LOT less than that. It would be hard to even spend $5k for the setup he wanted, including 3 good monitors. He was way more patient than I would have been in that situation, that is for sure.
  4. On another note, I got all of my Samducksa buttons today and just swapped out the silver switches with the Kailh navy speeds. It was more of a pain in the ass than I anticipated because I didn't know how fucking delicate the tabs on the metallic buttons are. I broke 1 tab on like 6/9 of the 24mm ones that I got, but they still seem to be working just fine. One of the tabs completely broke off and the rest are like broke but still attached. The solid black buttons I got seemed to be stiffer so it's just the weaker metallic buttons I guess. I'm going to install em later on and try em out this evening. I hope I like em on all buttons lol. I have liked the ones I have in my stick right now but it's a mixture of different buttons and only 5 out of 12.
  5. I listened to the whole thing while I was working. Dieminion doing the little "ha ha" when he is trying to talk like Arturo has me dying lol. He starts almost every statement by him with that fake laugh, and I know exactly what he is talking about lol. Arturo was apparently going through some real shit but still it is absolutely no excuse to act the way he did. The fact that he can 't just get him his money back and now doing the monthly payments of so little is ridiculous too. Dieminion is a lot more chill about this than I would be, but he also let it go this far so he kind of doesn't have an option. Art just seems like a scumbag to do any kind of business with. I think it's good he put this out there to warn people in the future.
  6. I'm listening to the Dieminion thing right now and am like half way done with it. It's really crappy and shady wtf Art did to him. Just all around completely shitty to do, especially from a long time friend. Back in like 2011 or whenever SSF4 came out, Art helped me out cause I used to chat with him on IRC a bit. When I was making apps, his girlfriend lived in Japan and there was an SSF4 Mook that was Japanese only, and he had his girlfriend buy it and ship it to me here in the states, so that I could add frame data into my app. It was awesome of him to do and I definitely appreciated it.
  7. Princess Peach Showtime demo is pretty meh. It seems like it's going to be so easy that it will be boring, which is a problem with some Nintendo games. The 30fps (at least in handheld mode) is also killing me.
  8. "What do you call nuts on the wall?" "Walnuts" "What do you call nuts on your chest?" "Chestnuts" "What do you call nuts on your chin?" "DICK IN YO MOUTH!" The first time I remember "deez nuts" was back when around CDs came out or were newer. "What do you like better - tapes or CDs?" Then no matter what the person says you just responded... "SEE DEEZ NUTS!"
  9. I am pretty sure I have a spare one sitting around somewhere from when I put new buttons in one of my cabinets. I'll see if I can find it and pop it open. Now you got me curious too lol. EDIT: Nope I don't, I must have trashed it a while ago.
  10. I have not, other than the springs in the switches, unless the Happ buttons in my arcade machines have springs, which they probably do lol. For home sticks I've only ever used Sanwa until I tried these mechanical ones recently.
  11. Gotcha. Yeah I was kind of surprised there was no like spec sheet with those details from Sanwa officially when I was googling. That seems like something that would be front and center. But I guess it doesn't matter since they have no variations. I ordered my stuff over the weekend so hopefully by the end of the week I get it all. I had to order from 2 sites because none of them had everything in stock that I needed.
  12. I believe the Sanwa are like 45g equivalent from what I saw when searching. The force can vary big time on the Samducksa based on which switch you have in there.
  13. Yeah after I found Cherry MX switches on Amazon and they were expensive for like $10 of em, I was like that seems cheap AF for 36 of em lol. Hell their Cherry ones are even cheaper since they are on clearance. And they are located about 3 hours from me so I got them in 2 days USPS Ground Advantage. The site is legit for sure though so don't worry about that or anything. Also FWIW, Sanwa's are apparently like .8mm actuation and around 2.5mm bottom or so. It's hard to find an exact spec on them but googling that is what I came across. I just got back from Microcenter and tried 2 different o-rings to see if I could get the bottom out distance shortened but neither of them would fit, even the smaller one. They were too large to go "inside" the switch when it's being depressed. I'm going to try those Kahuna ones from paradise arcade whenever they come back in stock, which they told me should be in the next few weeks.
  14. I got them from here: https://novelkeys.com/products/kailh-switches?variant=40598672474279 If you were near me I'd just give you some to play around with I got 36 in the pack and only need like 1/3 of them. Probably wouldn't be worth it to ship some to you though. This is the comparison between the Kaihl navy and the Cherry Blue.
  15. Yeah the Cherry Blue are what I was testing out 3 of those buttons with. So far I like the navy's better. They have shorter actuation and require a little more force than the blues. The one thing I am noticing with these mechanical switches that I was not having with Sanwa's though is that I am getting some unwanted negative edge shit and it's costing me big time. I think it's because they have longer actuation than Sanwa and bottom out further too. I think both of those combined are causing the negative edge to come into play, and I'll do the wrong special moves sometimes, with the button I pressed prior of what I intended to do. It's super frustrating. I didn't get as much of it last night with the navy switches compared to the blue one I was using before though. I'm going to try turning that option off today and see if it makes a difference and if I get any other unintended side effects. It's weird though because I know the clickyiness is loud and stuff, but I feel like the sanwa buttons are louder because they make a more "smack" sound than these do. These seem a bit more dampened for some reason. And I'm referring to the Samducksa ones not the crown - crown are quieter and like have dampener built in. I was also surprised how different they sound in the controller versus just playing around with them in my hand. Either way the noise doesn't bother me since I'm in my basement playing with the volume turned up kinda loud on my surround sound.
  16. I've been playing around with some buttons my buddy let me borrow (3 gamerfinger, 1 samducksa 24mm, 1 samducksa 30mm) and also messed around with different switches, and I may try a full set of them. Today I received some Kailh speed navy switches and they are pretty damn clicky but also need some heavy hands compared to others to press, which I like. I am also interested in getting the shorter actuation pads to see if I can get them closer to sanwa actuation that I'm used to but they are out of stock everywhere now. But over the weekend I'm going to play around with my controller having half of these mechanical switches in them and if I like them, I may order a full set of samducksa next week. Anyone here use clicky mechanical switches in their arcade sticks? I'm curious to hear opinions on them. At this point I am like 90% I'm going to buy a full set of Samducksa (for top facing buttons only) just because now I am curious about it.
  17. Faced my first Ed's last night and here are my first impressions. 1. I know I'm in the minority on this take, but I think his animations are janky. Something about them looks off and I can't pinpoint why. 2. The fact that blocking AND parrying his web move still pulls you in seems pretty dumb. What is the point of even blocking it? 3. He was doing some charge web move and I had some questions about it a. When he is charging it, can he not move? It looks like he's stood still every time he did it. Can he cancel out of it if s? b. Does it auto track somehow or is there a separate straight and angled version? I jumped over it and punished a charging character sometimes but others I got hit with one that AA'd me. I think that's all for now. Overall I wasn't a fan of facing the character and after facing none in 2 nights I ended up facing 3 in a row. A lot of it is just matchup knowledge though.
  18. I have no idea wtf the Boosie fade is or why it's playing to a banger of an Usher song.
  19. I have played the first 4 worlds in 2 sittings of about 45 minutes each, and while it's not a bad game, I am finding it just not challenging at all. I'm playing through with my son so maybe that is why it just seems so damn easy. The only hard things in the game are the wonky platforming controls for the most part. Again, it's not a bad game, but it's just not something I am dying to play and once we beat it in like 3 hours total, I doubt I'll ever go back to it. I'm glad I only paid $30 for it.
  20. I am most likely in the minority, but I dislike the customization options in Tekken 8. I want my characters and the ones I'm facing to LOOK like the character that has been selected. I'm glad Capcom allowed us to block outfits online. I wish they gave us more flexibility in that we could turn off outfits instead of having to always select a default one, but for now it works. I have Ken and Blanka set to their default costume because their 3rd outfits are just so dumb and don't look like the character they are.
  21. I'm definitely not reacting to them consistently, but I also just switched button layout so that has set me back a little bit, but in the end if/when I get used to it, should make my reactions better.
  22. Okay now THIS looks to be the valid reason I was looking for and THIS makes total sense instead of creating bad habits (which also doesn't make sense, because sometimes they DO react to DI with DI.) I didn't even think of this at all but it seems super plausible. I actually didn't realize JUST how valuable the drive meter is until watching this whole LCQ and Capcom Cup tournament. Since you know, I'm not even close to that level lol.
  23. Just FYI you can get the stage without spending real money. It is 5k drive tickets. I just got like 1k from opening the gift from Chun Li then I had to go into Battle Hub for the first time ever to complete a challenge to get 500 more and then I had 5k tickets and could grab it.
  24. Your avatar is the perfect response to your comment.
  25. Can't believe I watched SF6 for 7 hours straight yesterday. Good stuff though.
