  1. There's no rule to what style of fighting the society candidates must use. Pankration could be one of many offered. The point is though, that someone from the SS is the most organic vessel for a new hydromancer character. Female Gill/Urien with a similar degree of nudity would be an absolute hit.
  2. So these guys can open up the game and discover nuggets like this but they still haven't datamined the game for clues for future dlc?
  3. Because he is meaningless without Shadaloo! He is the moon, he has no light of his own, and must rely on the real STAR of Street Fighter! BEGASAMAAAAA!!!! More seriously though, they aren't that militarized so he doesn't have armies like Shadaloo. This game is inconsistent with canon!
  4. we mean females who were part of the pool for presidential candidates. With unknown “secret techniques”. She could be from Gill’s generation or a previous generation (like his mother).
  5. I get the Bruce Lee reference there but it's a bit late for that. Needs to be a new character entirely at this point. My preference is: Gill and Urien's older sister/mother - Tethys. She doesn't exist yet, but she could! Option 2: C (G's second in-command) Do you see what I did there?
  6. it was in He Who Shall Not Be Named’s plot misguide. I remember it also described Bison’s Psycho Shot as extremely painful like you are on fire. This is in contrast to most other ki in the universe which felt cold.
  7. It's not a rational or reasonable platform, it's a platform that excels at ruffling feathers and triggering quick emotional responses from people. Do it well enough and you can harness a tsunami of emotional energy and redirect it towards something. That's what Mena is doing here. He's being an attention whore and a contrarian to put his name out there. It's meaningless. Twitter is more often than not just a bunch of people screaming into the void.
  8. I mean, this might not be a popular opinion but final SF5 is one of the best entries in the series. As good or better than its 2 immediate predecessors IMHO. But I'll keep supporting SF6 because its foundations are stronger. It could become the GOAT FG of this century.
  9. It’s easily one of the best and most memorable, and not for the rap. It’s the music itself, and it feels very representative of SF6.
  10. I think what Cestus meant here is that the hydromancer is based on a fighting style and ki manipulation rather than a fighter who can physiologically squirt water at opponents (No weird water fighter lab experiments).
  11. This is actually really dangerous advice. Shame on them. Anything that hacks your receptors and gets you hooked is bad for you. A lot of people lost themselves and blocks of time to social media or gaming.
  12. Yeah I'm gonna veto human squirtle as well. LMAO! Waterbending is more what I was thinking tbh. (minus cryomancy)
  13. why do you guys need to be anal about this? I was obviously separating cryomancy (Gill and Kolin) from what I meant which is liquid water.
  14. Seeing Rain in MK1, do you guys think SF6 could accommodate a “water elemental”. We have wind, fire, electricity, ice, metal (Urien), and earth (G), water seems to be the missing piece. It will be curious to see how Capcom could interpret this element within the internal logic of the SF universe. The most obvious candidates would be a new Illuminati character or a new alphabet since both have already opened the door for all kinds of absurdities. I would like to see this in SF6. Think the engine would do a great job at bringing it to life.
  15. I'm fine with SF6's music. But it's nothing to write home about compared to previous entries. The stage and menu music is much better generally than the themes.
  16. What a turn around... Imagine what will happen when they announce a DLC season with IMPORTANT characters?
  17. Sounds like the story is gonna be all over the place again. And the 2 resets they did so far would not have resolved anything.
  18. I think it's the name - "world tour". It's meant to give you a ground level experience of the universe. It's a world building experiment with some obvious microtransaction traps more than a "cinematic story mode". The Bosch arc is inconsequential because the actual SF characters involved are not personally that affected for better or worse in the end. Like this is the 5th tournament of its kind, we didn't really impact the bottomline like all the others before it. Money is still being laundered. Nayshall is still subjugated by external forces. It's just another day in the world of SF and we got to experience it first hand. That is the point of the mode. I think with each character they will add new locales and maybe a few separate chapters that involve the new masters giving out missions. But when SSF6 rolls around, like SSF4 before, they will roll out a new sequel plotline. Just a guess.
  19. Even if it's true, it's irrelevant. Why are you judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree? Street Fighter is fundamentally not a single player experience. What they are presenting us is above and beyond what they have historically offered, and what the market as a whole offered. Not only that, they are committing to years of service for both the single and multiplayer experience. No other FG developer right now is doing that at this level. As for your criticism of the story, well it's basic and very clearly only a first chapter to a new story. All the characters are kinda chilling more or less. The real effort is in the character and world building. That is clearly where the energy went, and that is the true value of WTM.
  20. I think that by the end of SF6’s lifecycle it will likely have the best single player experience of any fighter. The potential just off the foundation they laid is huge.
