I have no horse in this race regarding Bayo as it’s a character from a game I do not care about. What I do know is that a lot of the international promotional art as well as a lot of art and cliff notes from the official art books seemingly hint at Bayo being bisexual as well as being in a relationship with Jeanne at some point. I will say though that anyone clinging to the reason of Bayo being lesbian/bi is because Jeanne and Bayo live together are fucking weird. You know two people of the same sex can live with each other and not be in a relationship, right? Like, they had to have had a special edition Jump to a Conclusion mat for that shit. It’s unreal. All that said, ultimately who cares? If people want Bayo to be Bi, let them. If people want her to be lesbian, let them. If they want her to be straight, let them. No need to start dumb ass culture wars or whatever over it. I get video game characters can mean a lot to people. I mean, I’ve never seen myself more in a video game character than ViVi from FF9. That character means a great deal to me in ways I can’t really explain. So I get it. But like, to defend your head canon with your whole chest while screaming at anyone who tells you otherwise til you’re dead in the ground is fucking dumb and honestly kinda sad. also Pokémon Presents next week.

I couldn’t imagine being apart of a gaming company where 30 games an entire division were behind all being rejected over 12 years. It’s like Xbox just doesn’t want to succeed. (the topic at hand is about someone mentioning that a Halo ODST game that’s nearly a 1:1 of Helldivers 2 was pitched to Xbox and was rejected outright)

At first I thought it was Darwin due to he and XM97’s Morph look near identical. But apparently the XM97 morph is based off Earth 1081’s Morph Darwin Morph of 1081

Skull and Bones is apparently a fucking disaster. A lot of people who can’t give full reviews yet are saying it just feels like a bad assassins creed game and the pirates of the Caribbean world in KH3 has better ship battle mechanics than S&B’s does lol. Someone else just simply stated “If you think people are tearing Suicide Squad apart than just wait”

I’m trying to complete my Hard Mode Play through and DLC play through of FF7R before Rebirth comes out. I’m at Wall Market in the main game and really just started the DLC. FF7R dlc is really good so far. Squee did a really good job making chicken salad out of chicken shit when it came to Yuffies poor dialogue translations and characterizations from the OG.They’ve fleshed her out a great deal. She’s like genuinely goofy and funny while being charming, confident and grounded. Very mission driven but also can’t help the fact she’s an emotional teenager and an emotional person over all. Also, I love that Sonon plays into her confidence and pride of being a ninja and a Wutain, her needing to prove herself, and her insecurities as a teenager by calling her ‘Boss’. maybe I’m biased cause Yuffie is my favorite ff7 character but It’s great and subtle story telling all around. Cant wait until we see more of her in Rebirth.

Finally sat down and played the FF7ReBirth demo. Lots of fun. Lots a little details they’ve added to the Nibel Incident to show that Cloud isn’t a reliable narrator and there’s something seriously funky going on. The way they also had Tifa semi-narrate also added to those facts and gave more layers to what happens later in the original. It’ll be fun to see how it plays out. Expanding on the Nibel Incident was cool. Playing as Sephiroth was cool. Even though you know he’s OP the fact the game makes Seph the leader to show off how powerful he truly is showed how little effort he put into the massacre. It made everything feel more impactful. YELLOOOOOOW PAINT 😂 The vacuuming up mako energy was dumb. As was the slow ass turning of the valve in the reactor. Materia Eater was a fun ass boss fight. im excited for the Juno update.

Naw. She went to our local comic book shop and bought a bunch of back issues.

My gf and I did Valentine’s Day early since she works all day tomorrow and I’m feeling pretty under the weather. She went above and beyond for me. The roses made of comic books are the most thoughtful gift I’ve ever received. (No key issues were hurt in the making of the flowers. 😂) She also got me some really cute Spider-Gwen socks and the blanket in the back in TMNT. I love it all and I love her. I hope anyone with a significant has a great day tomorrow. If you don’t but decide to go out for whatever reason, in the immortal words of Willie Nelson: “Go to bed at 2 with a 10 and wake up at 10 with a 2”

And to think Wolverine was going to be a one-off villain of the week for Hulk until Claremont took over X-Men.

They tell you about during the OG FF7 semi-4th wall breaking tutorials as you’re leaving 7th Heaven to bomb the second reactor. The dudes hanging out the munitions warehouse above the weapons shop tell you about it. It isn’t turned on before that (iirc). During the tutorial they tell you ‘they’re turning it on for you but you can turn it off in your menu settings’

Also remember that older FF’s (and a lot of games in the 90’s and 2000’s in general) literally had the ‘cursor setting’ so you had an icon floating over your character at all times as well as blue/red arrows that pointed at ever exit and/or elevation change in the dungeon. IE Ladders and Ramps. A lot of people who’re bitching about the ‘yellow paint’ and it’s ilk either weren’t around, have selective memory, or are bitching just to bitch.
