Looks like there has been a small up tick in numbers, also there was a sizeable boost after the first beta... https://steamcharts.com/app/348550 Oh, I found this really useful vid for getting started in +R: What are your thoughts on not having ranked in Strive? I'm personnally for it, a) It stops the player base being spilt. b) It should go someway to stopping people from reaching a lowish rank and then only chosing casuals. c) Ultimately, ranked is just an e-di@k contest, which you don't win anything for. Don't get me wrong, I am guilty of caring about my rank at times, but you're any as good as your next match. In DBFZ and Tekken, I'll chose to go on ranked because that's the best chance of being matched with someone of a similar skill level. Yes, you have to fight better players than youself to improve but, if you're just being stomped on, you don't learn anything or enjoy it. Having said that, I get better matches in player matches than ranked in +R.

4pm EST is 8pm GMT, which is usually the time I go on. I'm about tonight, I'll setup a room (my steam name is Lauhging Man as well). Just drop in if you're going to be about, I'll leave off the password and set the room size to 6. I had a quick blast on the beta last night, yeah they're really heading in the right direction. It was to nice be able to set your character and BGM from the start, than have to go through that everytime.

Also, just how good the netcode is. I often see about 200+ ping and I've yet to have an unplayable match. If for some reason Strive doesn't float my boat or the numbers dive heavily, then at least I'll have +R to go back to. Yeah, pretty much every GG character has some element of rushdown to them. Coming from DBFZ, seeing HoS key charging feels really disrespectful, but I know it's part of his game plan. I might go back to Dizzy, but I'm really enjoying I-No. I hope she keeps the charge and tiger knee elements to her dive kick in Strive.

The Strive beta has been only thing, which has mildly tempted me to buy a PS4. In order to get my GG fix, I've playing Plus R recently, (we get are own beta this weekend https://steamcommunity.com/app/348550?snr=1_2108_9__2107 ). I've been surprised at how many games I'm getting on a night, even though there's only 300-500 people on, according to steam charts. I'm getting my arse kicked most of the time, but it's still soo much fun. Putting the controller setting to lenient, does help with execution on a stick. While Dizzy is pretty much my perfect FG character, I thought I would learn someone who's going to be in Strive. So I've been playing I-No and will probably try and learn Millia.

I think this character is going to OP, because... Nobody puts Baby in the corner... -

Yes, sorry I meant Gogeta. I wonder if they're going to release them at the same together... Interesting idea from Deskillsage about adding snap back in the game but at a higher cost. I think it could work, if you got the same meter penalty as a level 1, to stop the loops. -

I think SSJ4 Vegito is in with a shot, to go with the GT theme. I'd prefer Raditz though, as the sayian fused characters seem to the choice of the WiFi warriors. Unless Goku and Vegeta spend the entire match trying to fuse. Also the new patch notes have dropped: -
That Blasted Salami has started a serise looking at each character. They're writtern by Infil and Lemon, short and very useful. I played KI for a bit when it was announced for EVO online and there were more people playing at a lower level. Once you get your head around the combo system and the possibilities that come from that, both for offence and defence it's a really fun game. I'd be happy have some games but I'm guessing you guys are in America? I'm in the UK, so times and connections will probably be a bit iffy.

Plus being able to run PCIe 4.0 as well, would make a new GPU even more tempting. It's just a shame that with most new games, we have to lower ourselve to these console peasants... (I'm kidding). -

I really hope so, AMD seems to be the only tech company which cares about value and the average user. -

I'm running a 1080. I recently upgraded to a R5 3600 from an old i5 4960, that has made a difference. Mind you, so did the M.2 NVME hhd as well.
