Personally I found the first half kind of boring apart from the end of it, I always find "trapped in a dream" arcs to be really boring in anime and it didn't really deliver anything to stand apart from those, the fight at the end of that was really nice though and the second half was great but I kind of left feeling that the first half could have really been part of a season and was only there in the move because it hadn't been covered in a series and they needed to both get it out of the way and make up time.

Well tbh since Coco kept her other persona semi active during the time at hololive too I daresay we'll find out if she does anything of that nature once any contracts run out. One thing it does do is hog the controller 1 port with big picture even when you aren't using it. Was having a hell of a time trying to play non-steam games that were picky about wanting the player 1 controler until I found out that was what was happening. Part of it is Windows shoddyness but steam is equally to blame since that problem has been around for ages and only still is because both Microsoft and Steam haven't been arsed to fix their end of it.

Gems could have been cool done right, the idea reminded me a bit of Arcana Heart's arcana system which is cool as hell, pick your character then slap an arcana on them which gives them additional special moves, supers and passive properties like changing a dash to a run, giving a third jump etc. and changes a few stats with regard to damage and meter gain. Too bad "Go to the play store to buy your autoblock here" isn't done right.

That voice actress stepping down from Guilty Gear doesn't sit right with me, the whole "Hey only these people can play these characters" thing has already been addressed but what gets me is basically the disrespect to and lack of shits given about the product itself, to me it just reads as "I absolutely couldn't give a fuck about the experience of people playing the game having arbitarily voice switched between games or the overall quality of the game itself, my issue is more important", which tbh I just find to be an incredibly shitty mentality for someone trusted in part with bringing someone else's work overseas. Makes me glad I play in sub as long as I cross my fingers none of the Japanese VA's get arrested with weed on them and get the "Project Judgement" (I think it was that game right? Was defintely a SEGA game that got completely revoiced) treatment which imo is just as bad but on a corparate instead of an individual level. I dunno about Back Arrow, didn't like the first episode much but the way the mechs work has the potential to be really cool, gonna give it a chance. I dunno about Build Divers, I felt the first season was pretty shit in general but had a few things they did well like the training at the start to get them to realise it's just a fucking game so they needn't sell everything like it's fucking death and the first antagonist who is basically just a guy who's salty that the new game killed his scene lol, it don't excempt is from the mountain of fucking dumb shit that was the rest of the season but those points stood out. Re-Rise was better on the whole but outside of some pretty nice fights I didn't think there was much that stood out about it, it was there, it was decent, I'll have forgot about it in a couple of seasons. The real question in all this though is why the fuck Bandai jumped to Re-Rise when they left off Build Fighters Tri teasing the new team going to worlds and possibly facing Sei, when the fuck we getting that? Wonder Egg and Ura Sekai Picnic are kind of reminding me of Flip Flappers, so definitely keeping up with them.
