Command and Conquer Remastered is a Remaster of the Original C&C (retroactively renamed Tiberium Dawn) and the first Red Alert, and all the expansions. It got rebuilt by the C&C Community and much of the original Westwood dev staff. And yes it's from EA. 

Warhammer 40K Dawn of War II is good (I would avoid Dawn of War III) which is squad tactics using Space Marines. 
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is also good, the difference from Dawn of War II is you are The Adeptus Mechanicus raiding a Necron Tomb world with a Risk/Reward motif. As you want to avoid waking too many Necrons forces, but you want to steal there tech, which you do enough you wake the Necorns. 

Age of Empires is what I was told also a good series to look into, I need to look into it my self. 

Star Wars Empire at War is good even though it's dated now, came out in 2006 

Homeworld series is also a good one to look at, they just had a remastered collection not long ago. 

I have dumped more hours, than I would like to admit into the Age of Empires games lol. Loved those games back in the day 👍

Game takes place in space, so you can turn in any direction and come to a full stop.  It's not quite Descent levels of movement, but it's kinda close.  A lot of my Ace Combat muscle memory is useless and setting the controls to mimic normal flight sims wasn't ideal.  Dodging missiles in this game is pretty difficult and the AI is pretty mean on hard difficulty.  I'm using default controls on an Xbox controller atm.

 

Definitely takes some getting used to, and seems to be a good balance between the complicated X-Wing games and the arcade-like Rogue Squadron games.

 

I'll probably end up sticking with Ace Combat in the end but I'm having a good time with it.

Has anyone been able to put some time, into Star Wars Squadrons yet? I've heard some good things thus far. However, I haven't been able to get hands on time with it yet myself.

I tend to go physical, for my favorite movies\music. Mostly because, you just never know when they are going to pull things down. It's already happened to me quite a few times, so I make sure to have a physical copy on standby lol.

Quite a few familiar faces, have come over from SRK I see 👍
