  1. So since I only have access to training mode right now here is some quick anti-Manon tech for y’all. The following characters have lights that can safely meaty Manon on wake-up and recover in time to block SA1. Blanka Cammy Chun DeeJay Dhalsim Guile Jamie Juri Ken Kim Rashid Ryu Zangief 13/19 characters, which was more than I was expecting tbh. I’ll add this to the Manon thread when I get a few minutes. Also take note that Manon SA1 is 10f startup, so if your main is rocking a super slower than that (Marisa, Gief, etc), this list is even longer. Notes about the characters in bold that I think everyone should know. DeeJay: His st.lp is the fastest overall light in the game at 12 frames total. 4f startup and 6 recovery. Don’t quote me on this but if my math is correct he is the only character that can safely meaty reversals/Supers that are 8f or slower. Juri: Her st.lp is 4f start and has 4(!) active frames. Probably a top 3 meaty button in the game. Kimberly: Very fast lights in general, to the point where she can meaty light Manon with 3 different buttons including cr.lk. Might not mean anything against your main but she was the only character with 3 options. Not surprisingly, she can easily set this situation up in the corner ending combos with Tatsu.
  2. Yeah this is missing all the multi-hitters (Jamie, Guile, Lily?) and slides (Sim, DJ).
  3. I’m on iPhone (12 mini) w/ Safari and I can see attachments and images fine. Like Reticently said it just takes a few seconds when first opening. The overwhelming majority of the time I’m here it’s on my phone. The issue I have is zooming in on a picture or tilting the phone to scroll in landscape will crash my Megashock tab 95% of the time.
  4. If I had internet it would absolutely be on site lol
  5. Everything about his design feels like it’s sponsored by your local school shooter.
  6. Ngl every time I see someone complain about Drive Impact I assume they’re a scrub. Not because Drive Impact isn’t good, but because it’s not even top 3 things wrong with the game.
  7. That looks like a command grab from the slither….
  8. I’m so jealous of everyone here who has internet and can actually play rn. It’s gonna be a few days before I can play again 😭 Also on AKI’s poison… ”When she strikes an opponent who is already poisoned with moves like Serpent Lash, a Toxic Blossom triggers where the resulting explosion can open enemies up to follow-up attacks.“ So AKI’s poison still depletes health like FANG, but with the side effect that she can literally blow you up if she hits you with certain attacks after. Not specifically what I was hoping for but as long as it’s better than FANGs it’s great. Not sure if I’ll be dropping Manon for her like I originally planned but I’m def gonna try her out.
  9. Holy fuck please god let us have new Def Jam. NRS making new Def Jam would be an EZ slam dunk that’s right up their alley.
  10. Good timeline: This tweet is an acknowledgment by Capcom that Snake is a god carrying a bad character and they will buff him in 2024. Bad timeline: Gief is winning tournaments? Better nerf him to ZZ tier.
  11. Next KingofShadows (Philly monthly I’m going to) is literally on my birthday. Hopefully I don’t lose on stream this time lol
  12. First thing you need to know is how to differentiate between versions. Heavy version (+ on block) has Ken say a voice line (“how’s this” iirc) while light and medium are kinda generic grunts. Heavy is also much slower and reactable and can be jabbed. That’s the basics. Me and Pert discuss that move a bit here https://discord.com/channels/834223350963896322/834223350963896325/1135729382300856341 TLDR: 1. jab/parry/whatever on reaction 2. Recognize the sound check for heavy 3. L/M lash stuff is unsafe and probably fake anyway 4. If you’re gonna block it, block standing (treat it like a dive). 5. Dragonlash has low crush hitbox Also like Hawk said you can drive reversal the heavy version if you’re too late trying to stuff it.
  13. What I don’t understand is how grapplers can’t get oki off command grabs but then also have to have a terrible drive rush. Like cmon isn’t that double dipping? 😆 Juri gets to place a fireball then warp across the screen into my face but grapplers get sent to another zip code for doing their main gimmick?
  14. Got tickets to see Lauryn Hill in October in Philly 🤘🏽 Wasn’t on my bucket list but glad I’ll be able to see her before she retires.
  15. Gief needs a command grab that doesn’t leave him a mile away and for Lariat, SA1, and SA2 to be actually functional. Fix that stuff and he would be significantly better without needing to give him a whole new move.
  16. Denjin being trash the entire reason I don’t look at Ryu. Cool idea that couldn’t possibly have worse execution lol
  17. A day? I get to play for maybe an hour after work if I’m lucky. Most of my time spent on SF6 is on the weekend, and that’s when I’ll sink 2-3 hours into the game per session. I wish I had more time but job.
  18. Looking at the numbers for Manon I’d say this chart is pretty accurate. 5HP > HP is child’s play but the sub 20f stuff I have to be focused to hit, and even then I’m usually cheating by confirming the opp whiffed.
  19. Ah yes another clip of JP spending more meter than he actually has to ape someone. I’m really not sure what to blame here. On the one hand I think the meter meter system is flawed when someone can spend 6 bars of Drive on 4 drive rushes in one sequence despite starting with only 2.5 blocks. On the other hand, I see JP in these cracked out “lol meter management?” clips more than any other character so I’m not sure how much of the problem is him specifically.
  20. Yeah I didn’t bother learning anything related to drive rush or parry until I hit Diamond. Most players at Plat and below beat themselves or crumble once you pass their knowledge checks.
  21. Yeah Denjin is terrible and easily the worst “resource” in the game. The opportunity cost to stock it is super high (loss of time/reposition/oki) and for your trouble your reward is wasting it on a poke that probably won’t do anything or losing access to one of your best pokes so you get to run better offense. Jaime also has to give up something to drink, but he also stays buffed for the entire round AND has a super that gives him temporary max level. The strange thing is that the other characters who have stores that buff multiple moves (Lily, Juri) can stack up to 3 at once while ryu only gets 1. Those characters also have attacks attack to their stores lol. Honda only can hold one sumo spirit, but unlike Ryu he doesn’t have to manage what move he uses it force since it only buffs HHS.
